Amazing add on, i have trouble when i use the add on the script after "click Right" not showing "Rectify Hair UV" can u solved about my trouble? thanksyou
only work for the polygon like in the video, and also to notice that this is a toy. After practice, I think this is the wrong way to unwrap the hair.

@@alvinakmalimam2262 just install like normal addon, activate it , you will find the button on context menu of the uv interface. still not recommend to use this, this is not a good practice to unwrap things

Hi, is it possible to use this in Riggify add-on setup?
should be work, this addon drive bone movement, then the bone drive mesh movement. And my demo video character is using rigify

@@LorHangChuan any type you like, just make sure the bones can drive the mesh.
Question around 16:00, is it possible to make a soft connection link with one side open/disconnected so its not a loop. For example instead of a skirt, its a actually long coat without zipper
select the "plane" option when creating soft connection
Question how does the collision work as I recently got auto rig and used that for my model, the previous rig i made had this installed and everything worked perfectly but now the new rig from auto rig has not been able to detect collision from the skirt to the legs so I was wondering how I can apply the collision to the auto rig armature
the rigidbody are saved in armatrue, if you use new armature you need to reassign it

im stuck at 4:10 on rigidbody group and collision group when doing the skirt also the skirt tend to start floating up and away from the rig itself
ok i got the skirt to rig and also have physic with the leg however when simulating it sometime freezes along with the log that is being recieved is there any way to kinda fix this?

@@oimoyu yes it raises errors and so far it works just sometime the skirt freezes and i gotta reset the animation

I got the addon and im still trying to get used to it by the mean time is there any blender add on that can make a human rig automatically so i can use it for my anime models
there is no silver bullet, for rigging you have so many choices ,each has its pros and cons

Is it possible with this addon to pin the chain of bones on both sides? To make something like wires.
you can try this: make end of bones as a kinematic, and add a copy transform bone constraint to it, constraint bind to a empty object. but I'm very not recommend this, this addon is not for this

is the simulation affected by armature scale ? because i try it with scaling the armature by x100 the simulation got exploded or movement become slow
affected by the length of your bone. please use this in standard length. bone length mainly affect part is the moment arm, large bone length will cause a large moment of force but it wil not matter with the "scale" property of the armatrue. just focus on the bone length.
What does this "easy envelope" do for collision?
nothing, this is just for weighting mesh

I think there are no special for that character, and this video has included most usage, you can use the same trick to do that.

this addon is used for bone animation, if your hair is mesh and bind with bones, the answer is yes

will this be only for blender models or can this be exported to the MMD pmx format and have it work in MMD?
Only inside the Blender, MMD physics engine is no need to use this, it is useful enough.
@@oimoyu just got it, so i will be testing it out, crossing my fingers that's its better than using a proxy mesh with cloth physics

blender rigidbody engine is not updated for a long time. to get a good result, you need many adjustment and long time simularion.

Really practical physical simulation addon. almost no jitter! and much more stable than other similar simulation addons. when it comes to hair simulation, it's almost perfect. as to a tube style skirt obejct, it's not perfect. no matter how I configure the settings including sub-step number, sometimes bone penerates the skirt. But It's not the defect of this addon but blender's limitation, I think. Anyway It would be better if there is a parameter setting preset save and load function. thanks for making this fantastic addon
Did you scale the rigidbody until it covers the skirt, like in the documentation? the skirt simulation should be ok if velocity is not high. willing to see the detail, you can send detail by mail.

It depends on the number of bones to be simulated. If there are only a few hundred bones like in the video, then the speed of real-time playback is acceptable. Too many simulations will cause real-time playback to lag.

Hi, i bought the plugin but isn't working for me, the solver solution always say: not even number edges.
Hover mouse on a edge, using (ctrl + mouse wheel) to change edge number, cuase odd number edges can not form a quad mesh. More detail checking the document.

It'd be so much cooler if it added a button like those of other modeling tools instead if in the N panel. it would make it feel so much more integrated into a standard modeling workflow.
which will be many conflict issues and user should memorize key map. I hope it is easy to use. Even after user have not used it for a long time, they can still get started quickly.
Although This Tool is for retopolgy but I think this tool can branch out into a new mesh editing tool as grid fill because grid fill or bridge only works for edges with equal vertices. they way this tool works it can automatically fill the loop of uneven edges into a topology fill.

@@oimoyu you know how in sketch retopo you can retopo the whole mesh with a web of patches and every single patch keeps being editable. You can move every junction, change the edge amounts and so on. Is this the case for this add-on too?
@@mauri4912 I not sure if I understand your meaning. The features are shown in the description and video demo already. yes the pole can be move by changing the "Padding" of a bounday, you can change the "Rotation" of the pattern, you can change the pattern, theses are the constraint for the solver, which means there is not always a solution for your constraints. but the addon will "guess" a feasible solution in the guide mode ,althogh it may not you want, but it is one of solution for your given constraints these are the editable features of this addon. if not I would like to check the new method if you can give me the paper
@@mauri4912 I know what you are talking about. this addon is not strong like Takayama's sketch retopo. The features of sketch retopo is a big project to achieve for me
