For this year's 2 week minecraft phase, instead of learning probably fundamental mechanics like speed bridging, or maybe how to actually beat the ender dragon, i will put dolphins on a leash and make myself swim fast. This is surely amazing alternative to blue ice nether boats, especially whennI have so stupidly generated bioms so I got ice bioms awfully far and so far havent even found glaciers one, crafting ice to packed and blue ice is extremely slow too, especially when I would have to travel super far to even get to ice in first place, soul soil is plentiful in soul valleys, which is third nether biom I can get to, second if I would not touch nether wastes next to my portal so I surely will try to build this, using froglights to light it should be best option, it is probably easiest to mass produce light solid block for me, other than pumpkin with torch but those look ugly as tunnel lights, with froglights, you can have even three colors for coding your tunnels while using same style of bloocks, if you got three frogs inprisoned in hell

I see this whole discorse as an argument for tech tiers. The easier something is to make, the less speed it gets (ignore elytra). Where as a minecart rail lets you chill at a brisk pace, it takes a while to get to your destination, but it was easy to set up and easy to use. Then you have your ice boats, it require a little more expensive resourses to make and you need some know how about how things works, and you cant just sit and AFK to get to where you are going, but you get there in a good time. Then you get your dolphin tunnel, its faster then those above, but getting it all together take some effort, and you need some infrastructure to keep using it, but it is fast. And then you get your stasis chambers/ender pearl rockets etc.etc.etc. Its instant, but to make and use one you have to be a wizard, and at that point you might as well just glitch in a command block and do ACE to write a TP command. They all have different tiers, both in knowledge and in resources, and to me it feels like its a fair balance between them.

Elytra are lame as hell. I highly recommend people play a world with no elytra. It really makes the world feel more cozy and you’ll find you build nicer paths more often than usual.

Probably not why everyone else got it recommended-but I found it because of the new Minecart experiments. It got me thinking about our current fastest ways to travel and remembered the dolphin tunnels being crazy fast.
