I have one downloaded from western digital (when I bought WD SSD). I can back up my computer (Win11) but I can't recover it. It requires restart ing the computer and the computer required BitLocker recovery key, When the key input, it restarts and the recovery process stopped. If recover some selected files, it errors out a moment later without telling me what's wrong with the recovery. The App is useless on win11. Previously I was considering buying a WD My Passport HHD from Western Digital so I could back up my computer regularly, Now I know it is useless, and I won't buy that.

I have a laptop in the exact same condition, tried everything to restore the windows install but nothing worked, and i deemed it a not fix, but i need to save the files of the owner before i just wipe everything and install windows again, and remembered live boot of ubuntu was a thing and thought "this might work" and your video just did exactly what i was thinking in my head, as the idea of taking the hdd out to conect to my main pc turned to be inpossible since it was a low end pc with a sildered on memory chip instead of a drive

Awesome rec, just picked this unit up and I love it so far. Was looking for a super basic sound bar that would be better than my TV speaker and this does more than the Job.

Man, I created a WinXP USB and was wondering why it wouldn't show up on my test PC, so I plugged it into my laptop to see if it would show for boot there, which it somehow corrupted my Win10 main laptop! I've tried so many different Win10 repair steps to try and get it to boot again, but looks like I'll have to reformat and reinstall Win10. I can still see all my drive files through Ubuntu, so it is extremely frustrating that a stupid WinXP bootable USB somehow caused this distruction.

Thank you to FrankHF for pointing this out. The network cards were running 1Gb and not 10Gb. Found that the issue was drivers no longer being supported. I'm going to deploy both network cards on both of my servers, and upgrading them to TrueNAS Scale. I'll already tested the cards and they're getting picked up as 10Gb.

If it was so that speed would be super fast. you have a 1tb to download would take 100 seconds to download @ 10 gigabytes per second dude that super computer levels.
