So I used the 36” length XI3 without any issues. Took a couple trips to get it set correctly to avoid the cavitation but after I found the sweet spot I left it. The quick release is from Motor guide mounted to the One Objective mount. Would recommend the One Objective mount because of the built in handle👍

The base is a Malone Micro Sport and I had a friend build the top section and I added the rod tube and Malone box.

Been a great boat, Nothing negative except the FOMO of no pedals but thats not the yaks fault😄

@@demolition_fishing definitely me. I’m on a PDL now and worry, “what if I’m xx miles out on the Delta have motor issue?” Paddling and fishing doesn’t go together. I certainly want to do more fishing than kayaking 😂 (still on top of the list).

@@Rigs2Ridges For sure, Honestly I've never had a issue but when your able to stand, put the trolling motor on Nav mode and fish a bank in the current or hit spot lock on a windy point I completely😄 forget about pedals

Yeah I forgot to mention I came from a small Crestliner Discovery side console with a 35hp on it.

What size weight are you using and what’s your leader length for the weight? I was going 12-16” with a 1/4oz weight and haven’t had any luck.

@@BnADaddy99 I use a 1/4oz with 15-18" leader Texas rig and a 10lb Flouro leader around the grass in the Delta. Thanks for checking it out!

If I was going to use a bag for keeping them I would reconfigure the back and place the TM battery up front and use the entire rear area for a bag and small tackle storage. I've seen some other ideas on youtube for crappie fishing. 👍

This is my second Xi3 yak( Unlimited before) and it works great! Putting it on Heading lock and standing and fishing works awesome. Plus having the spot lock. As for speed I easily cruz at 4mph to my spots 4.5-6 if I WOT. I know you can cruz a bank with a NK but not sure I'd be standing doing it 😄Think most of peoples issues stem from wiring but nothing is full proof so my paddle is always with me.

@@demolition_fishingyes that’s what I’m reading as well. Heard when in spot lock it can jerk you around and potentially throwing overboard if you’re standing. Thank you for the reply really appreciate it. Also would you mind sharing a link to the collar that goes around the xi3 shaft for retrieval? Can’t find anything anywhere.

My current kayak the Bonafide PWR129 initial and 6 month is up on my channel 👍

Bigger is better in some aspects for sure. Not saying it's not worth the say $1000 over a PWR but add a TM, Battery and your in that Hobie PA14 range and still no pedals. The attraction of the PWR was the initial cost and the weight and efficiency in the water. Cool that they are offering so many options tho👍

@@demolition_fishing I will probably be upgrading to the PWR. Just seems to meet my needs. I also use the hull for rod storage.
