Chicken Gnocchi soup and Preview of Instant brand Dutch Oven!
I always drop a light tea towel on my hot jars as we have AC and I don’t want a cold draft hitting my hot jars. I can in the Max and the Nesco, all other instant pots are NOT safe for canning.
Really appreciate your direction on canning bone broth, but the bird sounds are way too distracting and loud. thanks
Thanks for watching. This video was done 3 years ago and I no longer have the birds near the kitchen. I appreciate the feedback.
Thank you, all the other recipes for bbq beef ribs in slow cookers involved STILL using an oven which I don't have in my small apartment. Trying this
Of course, if you like a little bit of crispiness, you can always finish them off in a broiler, but you don’t have to. If I do put them in the broiler or the air fryer, I put aluminum foil underneath for easy cleanup afterwards.
This video is chock full of great information. The only video, of many that I have watched, that gives much more than the basic vanilla extract recipe info.
Thank you so much for watching!
Put your label up a little higher on the bottle
Great suggestion! Thank you!
I boiled mine for 30. Will it be ok? Plus I soaked part of a day and overnight before cooking
Sounds like you went beyond the minimum cooking recommendation. As long as your canning time was at least the minimum recommended also you should be good. Your beans may be a bit overcooked and mushy, but it would certainly be safe to eat.
@ thank you
Great video and yes even though USDA hasn't done testing native americans eskimos have been smoking and canning for years soaked in a salt water seasoned to taste after smoking during the canning after smoking or can can raw cold packed great legit and safe way to can any soup
Thank you so much I made and canned this a few days ago with pork butt @.99lb ..I love it, my husband said he wants more spicer so my next to rounds of canning I added a 1/2 teaspoon cayenne pepper. We will see bit regardless I sure do appreciate you for showing us tutorial so there is more of a variety of Mexican melas in a jar for my Mexican food loving family. I had planned on canning the burria but realized at the last minute that I had no tomatillos, no shallots and no fresh tomatoes. 🤦♀so will try another time. right now I’m exhausted cutting up roughly 30lbs of pork butt, cutting off all the fat (I render down for my lard) and cutting into chunks and into the jars. I do however now have 26 jars canned-2-of which didn’t seal so they were our dinners. Now I’m gonna look at any other of your videos to see what other unique foods I can can.🤗
You can can it even if you don’t have tomato, shallot or tomatillo!! Those are optional ingredients. The canning instructions are the same. Thanks for watching and commenting. Happy New Year!
The best town there is!
Is that chino ca?
Yes. On Spur Court.
@ I’ll drive over. Thank you.
How many times did you increas the recipe
I’m not sure what you mean.
Agree with your assessment of the problem! I'm sure many canners have had this type of break at least once😊 Hot pack needs hot jars and hot water in the canner. To keep myself focused, I heat the jars in the canner if I'm canning something hot packed. The alternative with something that will be pressure canned is to just wait until the cooked item, like the broth, has cooled down quite a bit.
Thank You!
Glad you found it helpful. My bad can be your good! 😂
Move the fucking birds to another room. This is why you get downvoted
Actual testing starts--sort of--at 3:45.
Gee, thanks.
Do you add any water in the pot, when sterilizing the jars?
Yes the instructions say to add water to cover the lower 1/3 to 1/2 of the jars.
I know someone who puts her oranges in a food processor, then she adds them to the mix. The orange also helps with extra pectin.
That sounds like a great idea! Next time I’ll do that
Thanks for this! At my local Smart and Final they had full corned beef briskets (14-16 pounds each!) on clearance for $1.99 per pound! So how could I NOT buy two! I made a big boiled dinner out of half of one, and canned all the rest. I made 16 all meat pints and another 10 of "hash" with raw potatoes and beef chunks combined. Boy, the corned beef hash jars are good on the weekend when added to already sauteed onions and cabbage and fried crispy!😊
I love growing it>>>>>Have tried several methods>>>>Just sitting in water on the window seal seems to work for me
Okay, you did have Comoros! Wonderful. Not seeing Sri Lanka beans yet, lol. I think you have done an excellent job with this project.
Well done.
The bottle that you are having trouble labeling, you can put the label on the neck.
That is a great idea! Thank you.
Nice, I would love a bottle!
You made this look so easy. Can’t wait to fix this for my family. Thank you for sharing.
It’s refreshing to know the experts make mistakes.
Why don’t you answer critical questions?
What’s the question?
The questions asked from viewers.
At the time of my statement no answers or reply’s had been given. It’s easy to tell when this happens by a time stamp
So your question is one of those “how long have you been beating your wife” type of questions LOL. I have three RUclips channels and I don’t get notifications about comments. But, Rather than set up my channel to not allow comments I like to come back later when I have time to answer questions. I have three different RUclips channels (none of which pay me a dime) plus an elderly mother who I’m taking care of, so I don’t always have time to respond immediately. If I didnt welcome comments, I’d simply turn the comment section off.
I use paper towels in my collender to strain my broth.
A coffee filter would also work. But I like the ability to quickly dump the debris and use the colander again quickly. With cheesecloth, paper towels etc it’s not easy to dump and you have to use multiple pieces during the process
Thanks for the heads up on the strainer.
I just made Costco chicken broth plus food basic cnicken
I a thin shirt too small for me. Cutting several pieces.
A fine mesh strainer is quicker easier and more sanitary. You could also use coffee filters but a dedicated strainer is less costly in the long run.
Thanks for the idea
Thank you so much it's So Delicious ❤❤❤❤
It's time to retire that Instapot kettle!!!! The surface has broken down and who knows what is leaching into your food! The soup looks fantastic, but not cooked in THAT pot!
Your rude
The surface is just fine. It’s ceramic and there are no chips cracks or pits in the surface. Thanks for watching.
Tht looks delicious!
Yes this is an awsome soup!!!
Thank you for this we just had this yesterday at Olive Garden its my favorite! I'm gonna make this looks great!
Hi, I am new to your channel! That looks delicious! 😊
Thank you for posting this! FYI, you could use non-dairy cream (not creamer!) if you can't have dairy. The Stinking Rose specializes in garlic, not "garlic and onions." I've been there many times. If you ever go, DO start with the bagna calda, and don't be afraid of the garlic ice cream-it's actually quite subtle, and the chocolate sauce plays well with it.
Thank you!
Very nice . I ❤ beef stroganoff. I've made a pressure canned version with red wine. This fresh version will be nice with a tender beef cut. I also really like your version of pork carnitas for canning ( so good) I've made it many times. I like the old videos with the birds chirping in the background.
Aww thank you. My birds had to move to another room because we adopted a stray cat. They still sing all day but don’t sound so loud any more. I really appreciate you watching and commenting, you made my day!
I love that rub
That looks fabulous! That's my next canning project! I just did white turkey chili and plain pinto beans because after the chili, I had beans left, lol. They really turned out nice. My first year canning and loving it! Thanks for your awesome videos and recipes! Love your channel!
Thank you for watching!
Omg the birds!!
Some videos use music, mine had canaries singing! 🥰 This was filmed 3 years ago, but So many people complained that I moved my birds to another location. Thanks for watching.
Looks great ... a few questions - what size are the jars you're using? Also, could diced red onion be added as well?
I’m using half pint jars but you could do pints using the same instructions. And yes, you could certainly add red inion! Sounds delicious!
Love your videos! I got a Nesco electric pressure canner and just completely love it! It holds 5 pints or 4 quarts. I have a glass top electric stove so can't use my Presto until I can get a gas stove. Thanks for your great recipes! Love your Birria also!
Thank you so much for watching in commenting. It means a lot.
You can put a pressure canner on a glass stovetop. I’ve been doing it for years, on 3 different cooktops with no issues! And I have an All American canner. Feel feee. Just don’t want to slide the canner across the glass.
Very informative. Thanks and hope to see a follow up video on the many bottles that were made with the various beans and liquor.
I think the Government doesn’t put a lot of investment into home canning these days.
Zero! Sad.
Does Ball have a book just on pressure canning only !
I don’t think so.
Exactly what I’m looking for Thank You 🙏
Can you sell the vanilla extract? What price are you placing on the product? I would like to increase my income as I am on social security
I've not sold them, I'm giving them as gifts for the holidays. You'd have to check with your local licensing body about that.
Thank you so much for this.
