TUTORIAL - Stained Glass Poinsettia
Enjoy this stained glass poinsettia tutorial. I would classify this tutorial as beginner, there is nothing too complicated going on with this pattern.
If you'd like to make this piece yourself, I have the pattern available for purchase as a hobby license or as a commercial license. With a commercial license you can sell and profit off the finished pieces. If you just want to make the piece for yourself, or as a gift, I offer a cheaper hobby license:

HOW TO - Applying Copper Patina - Beginner Stained Glass Tutorial
I just bought a couple if small stain glass pcs like a hummingbird, etc. I have a concern about the face that the edges are covered with the tape, that's all. Several places have sharp edges where tape folds over the edges. No solder. Wondering if I should buy more for gifts. Sirt of looks unfinished
Hi! I personally wouldn't purchase anymore pieces if they only have foil taped edges. It's not complete. Also, if they hanging hook is attached to only a foiled edge, it definitely won't last long. Foil isn't very strong without the solder.
@SamanthaAshleyGlass wow. Thanks so much. I bought 2 pcs , $35. I meant to ask her about. Hate to give as gifts. You are so kind to let me know. Thank you. Makes me want to take these 2 pcs back.
Great tutorial, I used your process on my first ever project and it turned out well. Not flawless, but it was my first time. Thanks so much for posting. I'd happily pay (if I didn't have to put my credit card into utube - do they take paypal or venmo)
I'm thinking of getting several of your professional patterns and was wondering if they can be directly loaded into my Cricut
Hi! Definitely - I cut all of the patterns with my cricut machine. So a lot of my patterns come with two png files. One with info, and one without text or background so it can be easily loaded right into the cricut app. It's a high res image though, so you just need to resize it to the correct dimensions (which I list on the info sheet). Just message me through etsy though if the pattern you purchase doesn't have the second file without the background, and I can email it to you.
@@SamanthaAshleyGlass Thank you for your willingness to share your expertise. I love all of your designs!
Do you use your xtool laser to cut stained glass?
@@BrendaKeating no, it can't cut glass
Очень профессионально и красиво.
Замечательно! Отличная работа.
Where do you get your narrow nose pliers? I can’t find them anywhere
I just added a link in the description box!
Very nice! Would u please show where to buy the narrow nose plier u have? Thanks.
@@elizabethsomoza4879 sorry, I'll add that to the description box!
What cricut machine do you use and what is that laser machine called?
I use the cricut maker 3, and there's a link in the description box to the laser I have - it's an xtool p2
@SamanthaAshleyGlass thank you!
What the French toast 😂😂😂 my new favourite saying
hahaha
Where did you find that gem? I would love to have some of those. I used a crystal in a piece I did but I couldn't find flat back ones
they're german trichroic gems from ullmann glass, I get them from Leslye's Glass Hut.
@SamanthaAshleyGlass what mm? Thank you
👍👍👍
I use sticky backed plain paper from Amazon and use my printer, it’s a bit fiddly but works as I don’t have a cricut machine. Love your longer videos, beautiful piece thanks 😊
@@Rokugatsu-6 ooo that's a great solution for patterns!
So beautiful
It's so beautiful!! Thank you, I will be buying the hobby license for this! 😍 I love the way my lily of the valley turned out, thank you for that pattern as well!!
You are so kind, thank you so much!
Would you have the number of that green from wissmach? I have a little left but don’t have the number
@@magali44276 it's 0191 irid 🙂
Just found your channel! I love that you make your sodder lines so smooth. It always bothers me when I see just random touch marks in the sodder at the joints. Great job and beautiful pieces!🌺🤶
I can't wait to buy this pattern and also practice my beading. That's one technique I want to master!!
@@incendi4ry I feel like one day it just clicks - I hope it'll click for you too! 🙂
Very nice!
Hello Samantha! You have created a super cool stained glass! Wonderful flower! Excellent video! Ocean of creative luck to you in your magical work, talented lady!
Beautiful patterns again. I love all your work. I will be purchasing the patterns. Love the snowflake too❤❤
@@jmheller9268 thank you so much! I hope you enjoy making these pieces 🥰
I can never get my solder to look as good as yours. Your work is beautiful.
Wow....beautiful Poinsettia....great job 👏
Thank you so much!
👍👍👍
👍👍👍
Logically i know its hot...yet i want to touch the smooth lines so badly
I’ve never seen soldering this smooth, that looks impressive
Very pretty, Samantha! Hope you're having fun getting into the holiday season ;)
@@MaisieStirfry thank you! I sure am!
STUNNING!!!
Am in love with this!!! 🥰 Love the colors
@@rebeccachapman6442 thank you!
Can you do one with the patina staying silver? I loved how it looked! So pretty both ways though :)
@@fardreamer86 I'm definitely making more that will be silver 🤗
There is something so special about stained glass pieces ❤
do you haver to solder on both sides?
@@mai1649 yes, absolutely, otherwise the piece would be very weak.
well me watch this cause music sound good
Your glass fitment is just 🤌🤌🤌
It is gorgeous but i'd love to see it with copper or gold instead of the black
@@georgiewatson8688 that would be pretty!
Curious do you wash your piece after your patina but before you use the polish? Or do you only use a paper towel like that to clean it? Thanks Sam! Or Samantha? Much LOVE Always!✌️🫶😁
@@CRodsStainedGlass I didn't show it, but I cleaned up the excess patina with Kwik clean
@@SamanthaAshleyGlass ahhhhh ok thanks!😊🙏
it looked better with the silver
@@Silly_Gilly I always find this comment funny, because when I leave things silver, I sometimes get the comment "it would look better black." So it's all personal preference. I'm making a variety of snowflakes with both finishes. 🙂
Beautiful ❤❤
Love the texture of the glass ❤
This is beautiful! 😍❄️
Hi! What kind of metal tape is that? Sorry I'm new to all this and doing my first deep dive today... Thanks!
Stunning!
So pretty
Very beautiful! What does it measure? Thanks for sharing your work.
What temperature do you set your iron to?
@@LillyKiarraGolden 410°c
I do stained glass , it all goes great ……untilllllll,, yep , the soldering 😞
@@geminifox475 soldering definitely takes the longest to figure out 😢
@ I will keep at it
As someone who’s got OCD, it always has annoyed me when I had such a hard time getting my solder lines so smooth! It’s one of the many reasons why I stopped doing stained glass. Idk what it was causing it to not be able to get smoother line.
@@Lacroix999 I can imagine how frustrating that must have been.
Beautiful art piece ❤
May I know the reason the solder jumps and looks like it is bowling when we soldering? It seezzels
@@fannyreyo417 that's the flux escaping - it cause the solder to bubble, and if it's liquid flux, you get a lot more bubbling and "spitting" of solder
Thank you so much ❤
Did you etch those leaves?! 😮
@@incendi4ry I used my laser cutter to etch them
