HOW TO TIE A SQUIMP- THE SCRUFFY ONE
Просмотров 7738 месяцев назад
The Squimp is a deady fly for bonefish and permit, and other fish that feed on crabs and shrimp. In this case soft coyote and artic fox fur and silicone legs and a body of dubbed SLF and micro legs produce lots of action in the water. If you're hitting the flats then this is pretty much a must have up there with a gotcha. material used in this video.. ahrex Sa 220 #4 210 flatwaxed thread 4.8mm ...

Andino Muddler Tan and White Full version
Просмотров 5869 месяцев назад
Andino Deceivers is arguable one of the best Golden Dorado flies around today. The reason they are so effective is the combination of 2 things: Firstly the bucktail head pushes a lot of water and secondly the flexible hackle gives the fly a good action. this is actually more of a Andino Muddler due to the fact the head is spun from deer hair rather than flared bucktail, but this is still just a...
A Merkin- Variant

Still a Merkin just with some slight variations. I was sent a well used and pretty mangled version after being chewed by a few permit , one his personal best black tail devil , and asked to replicate. Its been in Patricks fly box for many years so long the rubber legs had perished and melted into the body, not tying himself anymore was unable to reproduce. A few changes to the original one was ...

INVISIBLE TABS AND HOW TO USE THEM.

How to use invisible tabs. Can't wait to make a couple of these mullet, they're running thick on FL east coast now. Is the plasti-dip the same as you'd use on tools, only in clear?

Great video and I am immensely enjoying tying with the cones I recently bought. Two suggestions and a question: 1. I stack all the cones on my bodkin before I get started (biggest one goes on first); makes things go just a tad quicker 2. I blend my flash / angel hair before putting it into my prep station; fewer ties and seems to distribute a wee bit better 3. You are really fast putting your nor vise bobbin down....takes me a few secs to wrap it on the post. What's your secret?

I am curious what the advantage is with these cones? Why isn't a thread dam just as productive? Are these being used to use less thread? I am not knocking this, just curious if i am missing something? Thank you!

Rinsing bucktail flies, with or without a hairdryer, really does improve the profile of the fly. But when you use the fly in the water, and let it dry naturally, the bucktail always reverts to its original hyper-flared shape. Am I missing something here?
