Don't waist your money, unless its installed in low basement because it will not pump water from a 8 ft ceiling basement. 10ft max head pressure. so anything more than 1 elbow, probably will mot work. backup pump is useless.

On these units, when the water hits the float, it kicks the pump on and only pumps about 1/4 inch out of the sump hole, does its 10 second delay then turns off. It doesn't show how to see when the acid is up high enough. Do we look thru the top? Do we look thru the side?

I installed it and right away it pumps but it stays beeping into the code saying check the main pump. It continues to beep until you physically press the reset button Anybody know why?

Should have told you to wear safety chemical splash goggles and rubber gloves to protect yourself. The acid box can be a little awkward when pouring. Also, pointless to put the battery in the box before you fill it - you can't see the fill lines. I used a painter's work light and pointed at the backside of the battery to shine it through so that you can see the acid level as it fills - still can be tough to see if your light isn't bright enough. And do the same thing when have to add distilled water up to the level lines. It will make this operation a bit better. And yes, the music is annoying.

Can we use a car battery or boat battery from autozone?

It will work with a marine battery.

If you take the time and periodically check the operation of the system, which includes maintaining the battery water level, the battery may last seven years as mine has. No complaints.

Be aware if you own this type of sump pump over the years the case will tend to break make sure you get a ac watchdog pump that's cast iron

Or just get a battery with a trickle charger and an inverter. When the power goes out, plug your pump into the battery.

2-03-2018 I always use those stand types with the motor on top out of the water. At Home Depot the plastic ones are about $60 and the metal ones about $130. I've never use one of these submersible ones.

What should I do with the extra acid? Should I use it to refill the cells every six months?

I spoke with customer service today and the BW WiFi Module is a newer product that will be available as soon as next week even though it was previously advertised as Early 2017. It will be interesting to see where they price the product considering the compatibility is limited to only BW products with an existing monitoring system.
