Overnight Solo Camping with a Mosquito Net
Join me on a solo camping adventure with minimal gear in the heart of wilderness. Equipped with a mosquito net with a built-in ground cover, it ensure that even the smallest insects, like ants, stay out of my sleeping area.
In Finnish summers, where mosquitoes are abundant, this setup is essential for a comfortable night outdoors. Interestingly, there were surprisingly few mosquitoes at my chosen campsite, making for a unique and peaceful experience.
In this video, I prepare popcorn and enjoy a movie. The next morning, I make a hot cocoa and soak in the calming sounds of nature.

    I recently got one but I am not that happy ... In fixed position the knife blade has a small play (to the sides, not up and down). And it feels it is getting worse. Is anyone else facing such issues with the blade/locking mechanism?

    • @reliikki
      @reliikki Месяц назад

      Sorry to hear that! I haven’t had any issues myself, but I have heard that some others have experienced the same problem as you. I own several models made by Victorinox, and they’ve all worked flawlessly. Wouldn't it be worth using the product warranty? In Finland, at least, Victorinox offers a lifetime warranty against material and manufacturing defects.

    • @ExV1er
      @ExV1er Месяц назад

      @@reliikki Thanks for your reply. It's a pity. It would be the perfect knife for me. I have contacted their support, but it was a bit of a hassle. It took some mails and replies. They asked me to send it to their quality assurance at my own expense to have it checked (but that would take several weeks to get it back). Then they offered me "as a special exception" to send it back for free and getting a new one. As I am within the deadline for refunds, for the moment I feel better to get the money back. Maybe I will order it again later or maybe I will try the Forester series which is just a little smaller but a lot cheaper. Kind regards.

    Nice editing! :) Very calm video, like it. Does that stove also work when it is really windy?

    • @reliikki
      @reliikki 2 месяца назад

      Thank you for your comment! I'm glad you liked the editing and found the video calm. When filming, it was actually quite windy. I had to use three bricks around the stove to shield it from the wind. The stove doesn't easily go out in the wind, but it does struggle to heat something like a cast iron pan properly. However, I think it works great for such a simple stove!

    • @felixlerche8098
      @felixlerche8098 2 месяца назад

      @@reliikki Yeah I think it is a quite an efficient option; does not take much space (less than our current outdoor cooker) and even heats up a cast iron monster. I will make one and try it!
