Sometime the logical thing is the most easy thing to do or see. If you understand how something is sopost to work, can think logicaly what you need to do for it TO work.

sigh. If I could make an observation, the Sol system is probably one of the most resource rich systems in a thousand light years. Several rocky planets, several gas planets of varying types, and trillions of smaller rocks to be mined. In my sci-fi universe it would be confusing why humans ever thought they needed to leave it, except to take pictures. We have everything we need for millions of years without any real effort. Stories need to stop pretending there are no resources here.

After two nights, having not constructed any permanent shelters that would provide protection from the predators, Alex was clearly NOT "thriving." He (or "they") had survived two days and two nights, didn't have shelter, didn't have any source for a varied diet. Not what I'd call "thriving."

What's with constantly referring to Alex (one man) as "they"?

I think I understand what the author was attempting. The story never indicates the gender of the human. The pronouns he and she are never used. Even the human's name is ambiguous because Alex could easily apply to a man or a woman. Clearly there has been some thought put into this. Unfortunately the graphics illustrate a male, which is inconsistent with the narrative. If the graphics were made to order, I would suggest POV perspectives which do not show the human, but do show what the human is seeing.

They are putting pronouns in these stores trying to get you woke.

The story is good. calm and relaxed. I like it. There is indeed a continuing problem with "their" instead of "his". he is a single person and not a "their/them". But i can ignore it.
