Digitech RP50 is still my practice amp, and will be for ever.. This model was an award winner back in 90s.

I have one.Nowadays it's about 40$ in my area (second hand on ads, we don't have shops where you can by it for few $s). Someone will say that its too much for such a simple guitar effects device, but I cannot remember now any better & newer non-Digitech multieffects device for 40 bucks. Anyone?

The chorus was ny first pedal, dont know why it stopped working for a year and then suddenly worked again, 8 years and lots of shows and standing strong

Watched this and a few other vids.. there's really not that much about these online. Local store had one and I picked it up and love it. It needs a cleanup, some fret end filing and such but I think it's going to be one my favorite guitars I've played with maybe 1 hr of work. Thanks for the vid brother!

I’m in the uk a looking to learn and iv seen this or the Yamaha 310 but by your playing this sounds much better. Is there another option to consider when starting out, this is all new to me but has been on the radar for some time to start learning so any advice would be helpful. Thanks

I got this one for free of Facebook marketplace it just doesn’t say in side SA model but it looks identical to that one plus it’s in good shape the body looks good just in the heal like bottom of the neck behind looks like the paint peal or dent that’s it for free not bad but I notice the tuner heads don’t have a nut to tighten?

The instrument is actually initially designed for children for a good learning initiation of a guitar but you did not even elaborate on that. So up your game my friend!!

I have the rp 80 and still use it with my own presets. It has some usable tones and some really horrible tones as well but it has its place and for home practice and what not its perfect…

How did you record the audio for this, if I may ask? It sounds like you maybe had the cab sim turned off, neglected to edit out or turn off your vocal mic when playing, or played this device hooked up to speakers, then recorded through a just a camera or room microphone or something, it just doesn't sound right, something is very off in your recording. Straight into your audio interface (with stock cab sim turned on or custom impulse response after) for a direct recording might have been the best choice for this review. Not trying to be a dick but your play-through did not sound very good brother. I have seen many channels have sub-par audio quality during demos and reviews for the reasons listed above, so I hope you can take something from my comment here today and help you improve tomorrow! my rp50's tuner setting is completely off, it measures everything an octave an a half up above standard.

Listening to the out of tune guitar was excruciatingly difficult to keep listening to. Had to stop the video SMH

Can i use WD 40?

No comparison the original made in Japan with the Bucket Brigade chip is the real McCoy. Works great with a high game pickup if the amp is just under crunch, and pedal on always. Loved the battery at around 7 vdc.

This pedal didn’t sound like a sitar when it was first released, and it doesn’t sound like one now. The market price right now is $200, and that is a joke.

I can hear these differences both with my own and yours, there is this breakup to the lowend on the color driver that the tube screamer didn't seem to have.

I'm impressed ! Getting one soon.
