2022 VW Jetta 1.5T Sport MANUAL Test Drive
We finally got our first 2022 Jetta with a manual transmission! It's the 1.5T Sport with black grill, mirror caps, door trim and 17in alloy wheels for a sportier look than other Jettas. It also gets the XDS just like the R-Line did! Still a good driving car, just more value and nice little updates.

I paid my 2021 jetta r line new just under 24000 alot car for the money
Nice presentation style.
No IQ drive available with the manual transmission. No adaptive cruise on Manual transmission. The car is definitely overweight. My 1984 Rabbit got the same mileage but it was only 90 horsepower.
Of course its overweight. This car on the 90s would've been a slid 2400lb car.
Is this anything to compare to in this price point I’m trying to price match new cars and this seems like the best deal

The 6 Speed Manual With A Sports Trim Makes Pretty Sense. The Sports Trim Is About 23 Gran.
Definitely have my eyes set on one like this after my 2013 fender edition gives out!

I like that non-metallic pure gray. Its nice to see non-metallic paint again (used to be common back in the day).

one thing i hate about VW is the carbon cleaning of the valves. $1200 job every 50k miles or so give or take 10k miles.
Do you happen to know the part number for the grille on the sport model?
i can say the sound actor off is way better sounding.
Just bought this exact car a week ago. Happy with it so far. Great mpg, very roomy inside. Handles like a Dodge though
Solid rear end is the worst thing about the new Jetta. But VW justifies it within the frugal compact segment.

I like that it has a button. I had the touch CAS on the bmw and when I’d wash the car and the key was near by it would constantly lock and unlock the car with just the temperature and pressure of the water.
Interesting. Never had that issue with VW

Same, supposed to arrive on the 25th. Never owned a Volkswagen or a "new car" so Im excited. Haven't driven a manual in years and cant wait. Automatic has gotten boring to me and feels like driving on autopilot. The model my place has coming doesn't have the cold weather package but thats ok. I didn't want to order a custom one and wait forever for it.
@@CrunchyTire You will not be disappointed. I have owned many Volkswagens and Audis before. They are awesome cars and the manual just kicks it up to a totally different level. It's a good to get one while we still can. I don't believe they will be around for much longer. Audi already got rid of them in US. Volkswagen might do the same. Enjoy your car. ✊

Correction: the pro digital cockpit display is only available on the top trim line of the Taos not all Taos.

Nice looking vehicle but underpowered and on top of that the mpg is terrible compared to the rest of the vehicles on the segment
Actually the pickup was better than it’s competition, probably because it’s a 2.0 litre turbo/paired with an auto trans. It getting 23.9 per gallon in local traffic. It’s not a Hybrid (but believe there is one available), so you cannot compare MPG with the competitors Hybrid models. You need to test drive the 2022 or 2033 SE-R-Line (Black) to see how the pickup & handling are. Fun to drive.

I believe in Redline reviews, 0-60 about 10 seconds. I call that horrid! Don’t let the looks in the R line fool you.

@@johnpittman7762 Yep, thats the one im going to try to get if the girl allows it. Shes been spoiled with Audi and Merc. Hopefully shell like it. Idk how she wouldnt. RLINE package with these cars are perfect. Just wish they had a little more hp.
@@orange2352 indeed. I'm really not sure why we didn't get the Tiguan R, even with this refresh. It's our best selling vehicle, you would think that would have the way to release the R version. But no. I hope they prove me wrong. Sooner rather than later would be great lol.

great video, USA/TN buyer here - deep black pearl Golf R DSG - waiting sucks but when the car arrives hopefully all the bugs are fixed also for the USA we get it fully loaded so can't go wrong with that.
Thank god they kept the Manual!
