Hello, I noticed that your tv is pretty close to the fireplace. Is there a minimum clearance that you followed so your tv doesn’t heat up? Thanks in advance
@stevenleung7357 Hi! The ideal clearance is typically around 12 inches, depending on how hot the electric fireplace gets. It’s important to check the manufacturer’s recommendations for your specific model to ensure proper safety and avoid heat damage to your TV. I hope this information helps.

@@stevenleung7357 we mentioned in the video that we disabled the heating mechanism on the fireplace, so it’s currently on display only mode. So, if you would like to stick with the manufacturers recommendations then please follow that if you choose to utilize the fireplace for heating purposes.

I have this one too, and my favorite thing is that you can easily switch to rinse and really get all the solution out of the carpet. I wash, suck, rinse, a section at a time. Rinsing really well (at least three passes) means it doesn’t leave a residue to attract dirt in the future. I also use the rinse feature after spot cleaning if I don’t want to clean the whole carpet that day!

Just a heads up: I made the mistake of buying my lumber based off of the supplies listed in the video. The measurements do not add up. For example, the video says you bought 2 pieces of plywood that are 2x6, but then your measurements in the comments says the headboard is made up of 3 boards that are 47.5 in x 37in. I don’t understand how you made two 2x6’s into three 3 foot boards. Also, the list says you bought 1x6x8, but then the measurements says your base was made from 1.5in boards. I bought the wrong wood and a lotttt of it 😭. The video is amazing content wise, but as an actual tutorial it is very difficult to mimick your work in real life. I didn’t see your comment until after I bought the supplies you listed in the video. I’m going back to the drawing board though I’ll get it done! 😄
OMG, I've been looking for this video for so long. We are trying to build a DIY fireplace as well, but we have the angled ceiling as well. How do you get the measurment for the angled ceiling, in order to cut everything accurately??
@Danialove_ Sorry for the delayed response. In order to determine the measurements for the angled ceiling do the following below: 1) determine how wide you desire your wall to be 2) Determine where along the angled roof line you anticipate the wall to be placed 3) make vertical lines on both sides of your walls width from the bottom to the roofline 4) connect the tops to each other Result: By following the instructions above you should have created an exact replica of your roofline contour I hope this was helpful. Let me know if you have any other questions. And good luck on your wall build. 😊
Hey I have this exact fireplace that came with the house. The original owners had disabled the heat function like you guys on the main control board. Was it simply pulling out the jumper? I am debating opening it up and pushing the jumper back in to re-enabling it. Do you remember if it was that simple?
@ZxExN Hi, yes it was easy to disable. Ours was completely removable but if we wanted to use the heating function at a later time we could simply plug it back in.

hi how is your experience with the heat from the fireplace? is it damaging the TV? cause we have the same fireplace and TV but we cannot turn on the fireplace cause of too much heat. Even the tiles on the wall get supper hot
Hi @javeriabashir8275 I’m so sorry to hear about you not being able to use the heating function on your fireplace. As for our experience, we decided not to use the heating mechanism and decided to just use the fireplace function as a display feature for aesthetics.

At @0:16 of the video I talk about the material used to build the frame and their measurements. Please refer to that point in the video for reference regarding wood pieces used.

When the heating is off and it just set to flame display is it normal for a small noise to be running in the background?

Fireplace? Where did you purchase and does it just plug into a standard outlet. I see you, used Menards. You must be in the midwest lol 💪🏾
@Thewar187 we purchased the fireplace on Amazon. I will attach the link below. And the electric fireplace must be plugged directly into an outlet. You can use surge protector if you plan on using the fireplace for aesthetic purposes and not the heating element. Bingo!! Nice job ! If I could make a suggestion: when you apply the black overlay, overlap the pieces that will meet at the 45 degree angle and make one cut, you’ll get a perfect fit.
