This is exactly the information I needed for my project. Thanks so much for making this! Excellent editing, photography, use of music, and narration. Much appreciated the quality effort. I also really liked the pacing; kept it moving and interesting but slow enough I could tell what was going on.
@Sathi VV I’m glad you found this video helpful and liked the editing style of the video. Thanks for your comment it means a-lot and thanks for subscribing to my channel!🙏🏾 Good luck to your project build!😊
I appreciate that! Its recognition like that which really motivates me to keep pushing forward in these DIY videos. Thanks for your comment and subscribing to my channel!
Amazing final result , there’s nothing better than doing it yourself and getting that satisfaction , not to mention saving money . Well done for teaming up with your husband to tackle this project 👍🏽
@Eric Ohanmu I say go for it! No matter who does it it’s always about the finish product and your connection to it. I am sure it’s going to be amazing. Thanks again for your comment and subscribing to my channel!😊
Beautiful Job..Well Done I would have liked to have seen more information on your electrical connections to the components and the surge protector, was there some type of access panel that wasn’t shown in the video?
@Jeffrey Everhart thank you for your comment and subscribing to my channel! @10:38 you will see more information about the surge protector used for our electrical cords and towards the end of the video you will see that we did create an access point on the wall for us to get to the plugs.
@Princess Kitty thank you so much for your comment and subscribing to my channel!🙏🏾😊 I am glad to hear this video was inspiring for you. Good luck to you on your build in the summer!
@Ruhinda D Arnold thank you for your comment.🙏🏾😊 I’m glad you like my sweat shirt, I get a lot of my Christian apparel from calledtoedify.com. Thanks for also subscribing to my channel!
Excellent video with outstanding music to keep it very engaging. you have talent. For me I DO NOT have talent in such things. :) Question I am having one built but we have a cable box (its small) and it only works when exposed. I tried hiding it but it wont take the read from the remote. Do you have a cable box that is hidden or maybe you dont use a cable box. I guess I just add 4 inches so below I can have the cable box showing to use? Any thoughts are appreciated. I live in Vegas and the only provided for this neighborhood is Cox if that matters. Thank you and be well.
@Knuckles Washout I appreciate the love on my video. 🙏🏾😊 To answer your question, we currently don’t have cable because we stream everything so my only suggestion would be to either do what you mentioned above, which is leaving additional space below the TV so your cable box can fit there. Another alternative would be if you have enough space on the wall to create a built in shelving unit and drill a hole out the side of the fireplace wall for you to feed the cable cord through for a seamless look. I will be posting a video soon on how to add a built in shelving unit to a fireplace wall. So stay tune for that video. Thanks again for your comment and subscribing to my channel.😊
@Building Wealth thank you for taking the time to watch my video. I’m glad you liked it. Thank you also for subscribing and contributing to growth of my channel!🙏🏾😊
@DNolan-qy9pf Thank you! 🙏🏾 😊 I’m glad you found our video inspiring and thank you for subscribing to our channel. Good luck to you and your wife on your DIY project.
Hey!! Thanks for the comment. The reason I spaced it off the wall in that manner is because the fireplace is only 6” deep and the depth of the Tv wall mount when completely collapsed is 3” and the Tv (2”) deep. So therefore, all I needed was 6 1/2” of depth to clear all the electronics. I appreciate your observation and thanks for subscribing.
This video is very well done. Precise and full explanations. I'm guessing to secure the frame to the ground you put the hole through the wood and carpet to the floor right? My questions are how do you know where to drill to ensure you aren't puncturing something under the flooring. And how deep in does the screw/nail go.
@Tasteful Refin’d thank you so much for your comment and subscribing to my channel! To answer your question, we actually did not secure the frame to the ground instead it is secured to the actual wall studs.
I just finished watching this video a couple minutes ago. I just had to watch it again because I loved the process and the end result of it blew me completely away! You and your husband did an outstanding job, and you kept it well within the budget range that you've set. I'm watching it one more time right now. Thank you very much for sharing this.
@Cenica Edwards your very...very welcome. It brings me great joy to know that what I do is appreciated by kind people like yourself. I have much more to share in the upcoming future 😌. I thank you for your subscription to my channel 🤗.
Thank you for taking the time to watch the video! 😊 As for adding a stereo system, I would create another opening to fit the sound bar/stereo system underneath the TV.
Thankyou sooo much for making this video!!! I keep seeing these type of TV/Firplace walls (called “Cinewalls” over in Europe lol) all over the place and am falling in love! But always left wondering how people are achieving these great esthetics in their living rooms! So thank you again for this great DIY vid Y’all did an AMAZING JOB! Can’t wait till we move into our new place so I can start building my own 🤗
@Dana Danbury Thank you for your comment!🙏🏾 I am so glad you like the build and found my video helpful. Congratulations on your new place and good luck to your future building projects! 😊🙌🏾
I love your videos. They're so different from other boring DIYs. You bring a certain vibe to the genre. I know your new to RUclips but your video editing seems like you've done this before. Keep it up! 👍

Great video. How many extra centimers do you have extra on each side of the tv? I am thinking about putting 1 upp but I am afraid for the tv to get over heated?
@Fortnite Familjen sorry for the delay. To answer your question, I have about 1.27 centimeters worth of space between the perimeter of the TV and recessed walls TV housing. That's just enough space to get my finger tips in to make adjustments to the TV as needed. Also, it preserves the seamless ultra modern look I was aiming for. As for your concern for TV overheation, inside the TV housing there's roughly about 4 inches or (10.16 centimeters) of space from the apartments structural wall to the back of the TV. I believe that's adequate for the TV I have. Lastly, it really depends upon the type of TV you have. I have a Sony OLED, its heat retention is very low deeming it safe for the space I measured. I hope I answered your questions. Also, thanks for subscribing and for your interest in my content. 🙂
Amazing work. I'm going to start mine next week and you helped me so much with this video. One question. How did you do your corners? Did you cut the edges at a 45 degree angle or lap one over the other?
Beautiful job. Ok here's a cupla dumb questions. Where would the cable box go ? Also if there's ever a need to adjust something on the TV or fireplace, how would that get done ?
@mo pounce to answer your question, you could 1) incorporate the cable box inside the hidden tile I unveiled towards the end of the video, or 2) install it right under the TV but still utilizing the "hidden tile" technique. As far as TV adjustments, if you need to attach more components to the TV you can pull the TV out using the extendable bracket. From there, attach what needs to be attached, thread the cord down the back of the faux wall, and plug the cord up to the surge protector inside the hidden tile. I hope that helps. Thanks for subscribing and the best of luck 😊🙏🏾
Wow you really did an amazing job..ok so I just watched this video 3 times in a row and now about to show my hubby. We are doing ours today and your video has helped A LOT. Thank you for the detailed video its appreciated. X sasha x

@selseyball Thank you for your comment and taking the time to watch my video! 🙏🏾 I’m glad you like the build. I would love to come to the UK but at the moment we’re not traveling to do custom builds yet. 😊
OMG, I've been looking for this video for so long. We are trying to build a DIY fireplace as well, but we have the angled ceiling as well. How do you get the measurment for the angled ceiling, in order to cut everything accurately??
@Danialove_ Sorry for the delayed response. In order to determine the measurements for the angled ceiling do the following below: 1) determine how wide you desire your wall to be 2) Determine where along the angled roof line you anticipate the wall to be placed 3) make vertical lines on both sides of your walls width from the bottom to the roofline 4) connect the tops to each other Result: By following the instructions above you should have created an exact replica of your roofline contour I hope this was helpful. Let me know if you have any other questions. And good luck on your wall build. 😊
@All The WadeUp thank you so much for taking the time out to comment and subscribe. I've always been a fan of modern design. So I embodied all that inspired me and produced a wall that will hopefully inspire others. Thanks again 😊
Doing a similar thing with a 75 inch LG Nanocel and Dimplex Ignite XL 50 so it was good to see it all come together and look so good. Well done both of you!!
@Sean Dawson That 75inch LG Nanocell is a really good TV. It's one of the better 8k screens for that price point. Good luck to you in your build. Thanks for the comment and for subscribing 👍 P.S. Keep me posted
@antoinecorey9167 You are so welcome! 😊 Thank you for taking the time to watch my video and subscribing to my channel! 🙏🏾 The fireplace used in this video is linked below. www.amazon.com/DIMPLEX-IgniteXL-74-Inch-Electric-Fireplace/dp/B01KIDCJZ2/ref=sr_1_5?dchild=1&keywords=DIMPLEX+IgniteXL+74-Inch+Built-in+Linear+Electric+Fireplace+-+XLF74&qid=1622267595&sr=8-5&_encoding=UTF8&tag=mooredecorl0c-20&linkCode=ur2&linkId=605111ba3f651b5879f1e76761e60d3f&camp=1789&creative=9325
Great job, looks amazing. We’re doing similar here but were told we’d need speakers to play the TV sound. How is the sound from the recessed TV speakers?
It’s great because the TV we have has speakers built into the screen itself. So there’s no need for added construction to accommodate speakers that would otherwise interrupt the sleek minimalist vibe we were aiming for. Check out my review on our TV, I think it would be perfect for your build. Thanks for your comment and for subscribing and helping the channel grow.😊🙏🏾 ruclips.net/video/QJIVSPEdaZk/видео.html
@Thewar187 we purchased the fireplace on Amazon. I will attach the link below. And the electric fireplace must be plugged directly into an outlet. You can use surge protector if you plan on using the fireplace for aesthetic purposes and not the heating element. Bingo!! Lol Menards and Home Depot is our favorite places to go. www.amazon.com/DIMPLEX-IgniteXL-74-Inch-Electric-Fireplace/dp/B01KIDCJZ2/ref=sr_1_5?dchild=1&keywords=DIMPLEX+IgniteXL+74-Inch+Built-in+Linear+Electric+Fireplace+-+XLF74&qid=1622267595&sr=8-5&_encoding=UTF8&tag=mooredecorl0c-20&linkCode=ur2&linkId=605111ba3f651b5879f1e76761e60d3f&camp=1789&creative=9325
Thanks you for subscribing and your comment! I am glad that you found my video motivating. Stay tuned because there’s more to come. And much success to you guys in your DIY journey.
I love this project and I will definitely do this as well and so my question is how did you do the corners with the tiles coming together? Thank you and thank you for the DIY.
@eddievorasane8747 So sorry for the delayed response. Thank you for your comment and subscribing to my channel! 😊🙏🏾 To answer your question, we just cut the edges to fit the wall and join them together. Since the cut edges were the same color as the entire panel we did not need to do anything special to make it look seamless. Good luck with your build! 😊
@survivinglife101 thank you!😊 🙏🏾 Here is the clip from the video that states how many wood pieces used to make this wall. ruclips.net/user/clipUgkxVD7w5aCVjDYS96zmaXKmAAqFvRKEN7z5?si=uCY-QPCVKCTbFHqC Good luck with your wall build!!😊
@Chancellor Solicitor Free Inhabitant Sorry for the late response. The type of saw used to cut vinyl was a “SKIL saw 3601” and you can purchase it from here rstyle.me/cz-n/gqunb6dngyp .

fantastic job! especially getting the TV so flush with the wall WOW! Since my TV not as flush I was debating on making a frame and boarder around the TV to make it look like a painting. Your's and your husband's thoughts on it would be appreciated!
@Billy Metokur thanks for reaching out. To assist you in your concerns on the TV protruding from your wall. Your wall mount when fully collapsed might be too thick which can cause the TV to poke out pass the walls face. Therefore, I suggest to purchase a thinner wall mount similar to the mount I used for my TV which when fully collapsed is 2.8 inches. I've attached a link below. As for framing the TV, that's different🤔 never thought of that. Sounds pretty unique 😏👍. It all boils down to personal taste, I say GO FOR IT. The slide out tile was a nice touch ... I am preparing mentally to take on a similar project but with concrete instead of tile ... How did you end up arranging the other hardware like cable box or other devices?
@David Braylark sorry for the delay in responding. But to answer your question, I no longer rely on cable because the TV is a smart tv with live streaming capabilities. As for the wiring, everything is ran behind the faux wall. There is about 3 inches of space between the "real structural wall" and framework. I utilize that space to run all cords/wiring through. All power cords are plugged into a 3600 joule surge protector hidden discreetly behind the removable tile. I hope I was informative in answering your question. Thank you for commenting and subscribing 👍😊
🔥🔥🔥 I have a question how much boxes of tiles did u use and would you have a estimate of how much I might neee if I plan on doing 10 feet wide 7 feet tall ? Thanks and keep up the good work
@Tony Som sorry for responding so late but we used about 6 boxes because our wall was two different heights due to the angling of the roof which was 9ft on one side and 15ft on the other side. The width of our wall was about 7ft. As far as giving you an estimate, I’m really not sure. I would take into consideration the measurements of each tile and how many comes in the box to determine the amount of boxes you may need. Thanks for your comment and subscribing to my channel!😊🙏🏾
@LetSpaReact thank you for your comment. I did mention briefly the specs on both TV and Fireplace @0:40 . I will leave the links to the TV and fireplace specs below. Great job guys!!! Just what was I was looking for, sleek and modern. Want to do the same, but wondering how to determine the frame size. For reference I have a 75 inch television. How did you decide or did you follow a formula?
@Melody Gilliam I just analyzed the space I had and determined how much of it I was willing to share with the fire place build and I came to the conclusion that I wanted it to be as minimal as possible. I hope this help. And thank you for your comment and subscribing to my channel. 🙏🏾😊
@Mursel Beqa Thank you for your comment!🙏🏾 To answer your question, you should first draw out a plan for your faux wall build. You will need to determine the wall dimensions that you plan on putting the faux wall on, such as the height of the wall and width. You will then need to determine where you would like to position the faux wall, for example if you would like to have it centered or off centered, etc. You then will need to determine the size of your TV and fireplace because that will ultimately determine the size your wall need to be. Once you have all of those measurements you should then have an idea of how much lumber you will need and also the measurements you will need to cut the lumber. Also just as a side note, when determining the height of the fireplace from the ground, you want it to be eye level from a seated position on your sofa or at least between 40”-42”(inches) off the ground. I hope this information was helpful. Thank you also for subscribing to my channel and good luck to you on your build! 😊
Thanks for your question. We used a circular tile saw to cut the corners. 1st, place the uncut tile up against the corner of where you will be installing it. 2nd, with the tile firmly pressed against the corner, using a pen or pencil draw a traced line on the outside of the corner onto the back of the tile. 3rd, cut tile along the drawn line using the tile cutter. 4th, with the joining corner tile same procedure as in steps 1-3. However, instead of using the outside of the walls corner as your guide, you would now be using the freshly cut tiles edge a your guide. Voila! You now have an unobstructed modern edge. Thanks for subscribing 😊
Hi sis Just asking hows the wall tile around the fireplace. Was thinking it might eventually come off because of the heat coming from the fireplace? ThAnks
@Sofia Lim we actually opted for the non heated feature on the fireplace so it’s more of a display for aesthetic purposes. So to answer your question the tile around the fireplace is holding up pretty good 😊 seeing how we’re not using the heated feature on the fireplace. Thanks for your comment and taking the time watch our video!🙏🏾😊
@Glenville Pompier we chose not to screw the frame into the floorboards, opting instead to rest it on top of the carpet. This is because we live in an apartment complex and by drilling into the floorboards it would void our security deposit. And we needs that 💵 😉. But if that's not your current position, feel free to secure the frame to the floorboard for added stability. I hope this helps. Thanks for subscribing and being a part of the channel, it means a lot!😊

Nice Job. You did the spacing off the wall different then I have ever seen. Great Job
@@MooreDecor Hi, yes I see the stud, but did you not have to secure the stud to the ground first?
Very well presented and planned out! Thank you for taking the time to explain it all in such detail....Looks Great!

@LtShahdirty Thank you! 🙏🏾😊 I’m glad you found the video helpful. To answer your question we actually lapped one over the other.

Looks fantastic you are so talented 👍👍
OMG, I've been looking for this video for so long. We are trying to build a DIY fireplace as well, but we have the angled ceiling as well. How do you get the measurment for the angled ceiling, in order to cut everything accurately??
@Danialove_ Sorry for the delayed response. In order to determine the measurements for the angled ceiling do the following below:
1) determine how wide you desire your wall to be
2) Determine where along the angled roof line you anticipate the wall to be placed
3) make vertical lines on both sides of your walls width from the bottom to the roofline
4) connect the tops to each other
Result:
By following the instructions above you should have created an exact replica of your roofline contour
I hope this was helpful. Let me know if you have any other questions. And good luck on your wall build. 😊
That is nice. We’re getting ready to do a stone fireplace and tv wall but I like the flat look. Very nice 👍🏽. You did a great job.

Great job, looks amazing. We’re doing similar here but were told we’d need speakers to play the TV sound. How is the sound from the recessed TV speakers?
It’s great because the TV we have has speakers built into the screen itself. So there’s no need for added construction to accommodate speakers that would otherwise interrupt the sleek minimalist vibe we were aiming for.

fantastic job! especially getting the TV so flush with the wall WOW!

Love the video and am inspired to create a same wall but how do you measure the wall to work out how much lumber you will need. Thanks
How did you install the tile on the corner whit out trim please . Thank for your video

Hi sis
Just asking hows the wall tile around the fireplace.
Gotcha! Thanks for replying. 😊 blessings!
Is the bottom section just resting on the carpet on you also screwed it in ?
@Glenville Pompier we chose not to screw the frame into the floorboards, opting instead to rest it on top of the carpet. This is because we live in an apartment complex and by drilling into the floorboards it would void our security deposit. And we needs that 💵 😉.
But if that's not your current position, feel free to secure the frame to the floorboard for added stability.
I hope this helps. Thanks for subscribing and being a part of the channel, it means a lot!😊
