The starter of Monza '78 did a horrendous mistake, not halting the rear placed cars. The lay out of Monza back then was sick. The cars went from the huge starting straight with plenty of room for passing, straight into a chikane with room for max two cars. All cars had built up up top speed from the start and it was a recipe for disaster. Thanks for putting a spotlight on a brilliant driver.

The way checo performed at the Azerbaijan GP it was enough to prove he is a great driver but RedBull pays less attention to his car. He is complaining of the issues from a long time but they realized it now after Max is suffering from the same issues !!

This is the reason I am so lost with Checo! He was sweet to follow leading up to his Red Bull days, but has slumped hard in performance with last year him being in the dominant car no less. He has immense talent still, but it might be best to switch out of F1 and into some other racing series. He can't seem to get a handle on these cars anymore. I have no idea what it takes to drive single-seater machinery on the top level, but damn these falls from grace are brutal yet remarkably common with regulation changes.

One of the most amazing facts about Colapinto is that he's never managed to secure the budget since his arrival to single seaters categories in Europe back in 2019. This fact is important to note because it explains that he was never able to test the cars before actually arriving to the first round of each series he competed on, unlike many of his rivals on track. Prior the Italian GP weekend, he only managed to taste the likes of an F1 car on two occasions: The first one was during the morning session on the 2023 Pirelli post-season test in Abu Dhabi, two days after the F1 season ended. Zak O'Sullivan, who at the time was the first on the line in the Williams Academy program, took the wheel on the afternoon session. The objective on that test mostly was to help Colapinto get the FIA Super License, as he was the only driver in the academy who qualified to get it as he had more than 40 Super License points (he had 41), the minimum required by the FIA. The second occasion was the now famous 2024 British GP FP1 session. Unlike many of the other young prospects such as Andrea Kimi Antonelli, Jack Doohan, Felipe Drugovich or Ollie Bearman, Franco hasn't had any test on pre-2022 F1 cars. All those other drivers have been given the possibility to test on the old spec cars many times by their academy teams. Finally, It's also remarkable how he managed that 37-lap stint on the hard tyres on the Italian GP race, bearing in mind that his largest stint on the previous two occasions on an F1 car was an 8-lap stint on the Pirelli C1 hard tyres.

Here in Argentina we are really proud of what Franco has accomplished so far, because he is the first argentine driver to race in F1 since Mazzacane in 2001 with Prost GP. These next eight races we will see him in tracks he hasn’t raced before except for Abu Dhabi, so the excitement is huge, but the expectations have to remain low. Let’s hope Franco adapts well to Baku and Singapore in the asian leg and see what happens. Vamos Franquito! 🇦🇷🇦🇷

That Olympic race was held in Buenos Aires, despite it was not officially part of the Olympic Games schedule. We had six mixed teams, Franco raced alongside kart racer Brisa Puig. All 12 drivers raced together on track, the drivers' race time were merged to order the final classification. Current WEC driver for United Autosports, Nico Pino from Chile, also took part in that race, and ended in P3 alongside local kart racer Camila Almada. He's a F2 rookie

It's so refreshing to see someone finally acknowledge Checo is a good driver, instead of all the haters who constantly criticise him. That RB second seat seems like a poison chalice. The car is tailored to Max's driving style, which doesn't suit Checo. This season even Max is struggling with the setup so how is Checo expected to handle it. Really hope he'll be able to stay on the grid one way or the other.

Mind you, Sergio Perez is just below Hamilton Lewis (currently). I have yet to see the amount of negativity Checo gets compared to other drivers. He is a mid solid driver. He used to be better, yet I have seen newer drivers and older drivers who perform worse. He is always underestimated
