Can you review a portable battery system like Bluetti. For instance, if I got an AC500 that can have an expandable battery capacity upto about 18Kwh or 2 sets in parallel that can now also a 120volt system to 240. This would not require permitting or an inverter (since the inverter is built internally). I think you could circumvent connecting it to the grid by installing a generator inlet or socket. Now, I maybe butchering this data or information, but the idea of it is there. I want a system that does not connect into the grid system and has the capacity to run the entire house. Can you help me figure this out. I live in SoCal.

I work for sunrun. I always preach for the 0% escalator, AND if they insist on the yearly escalator I make sure to use chat gpt to show them every single years payment because it can indeed be deceiving to see a low payment year one and not take into account the payment almost doubles in 25 years. With that being said both options will save you money as utilities rise much faster (at least in Massachusetts where they climb 7-10%) but 0% saves you more and you have the peace of mind knowing it will always be the amount of day 1. WHO you speak to from a company matters almost more than the company itself in my opinion. I’ll never sign someone up for something I don’t believe benefits them and this channel has helped me understand solar on a deeper level thank you Julian 🙏🙏

I would like to commend this solar company for their honesty with me. I’ve been considering more solar panels and a battery to avoid my increasing true ups. I was approached by a neighbor who works for a different solar company who uses Freedom Forever as their installation company. The proposal seemed too good to be true, so I had to do my due diligence and get more advice. After watching Julian’s many videos, I decided to reach out for more information. His partner explained that in our particular case, it would not make financial sense to add a second system at this time. We are currently on the old reimbursement plan with PGE, and adding a second system would force us to get reimbursed at the new lower rate for the entire system. Of course, I was not told this, though Tesla did tell me so. That’s when I knew I needed additional information. As Julian has explained in at least one or more videos, everyone’s situation is different and good consultants will tell you and show you when it’s advantageous or not for you. Based on my experience, I would certainly contact this company to weigh your various options. Unfortunately, the solar industry is riddled with scammers. Buyer beware!

Is there any way I can offer a PPA with favorable terms? For example, can I as a solar rep be able to offer a PPA that can: 1. Their monthly bill gets a little bit lower every month. 2. Have an option where they can save up and buy the solar panels in a lump sum for the price I would have sold them to you in cash today. 3. no escalator. 4. Offer the same panel/inverter combo I recommended had we gone with cash. 5. Don't pay unless the panels are actually working. Last question: is the ppa a liability for selling your house if it doesn't have an escalator? Thanks for making videos like this. I think you have the best content about these things on youtube.

This is a no nothing video, I have liked your videos in the past, but all you explained is how a ppa works It really has nothing to do with sunrun or any other specific company. You mentioned fear mongering. That's what this is meant to be. Seems like a lead generating video to me.

In Southern California , I have been quoted to install 5.25kWh (13 panels) + Tesla PW3 + Backup switch for $34K. Is this a better deal ?

Word on the street said that Tesla PW3 used battery that was deemed not good enough for EV but good enough for energy products. Those batteries was the 4680 that was deemed not good enough for cars but repurpose for other energy product like PW or Megapack. From recent report on production of 100 millions of said 4680 batteries, it's not farfetch if most if not all those batteries was used for PW or Megapack

Does a PPA without a battery still get the 60% 1st year federal depreciation benefit?

Sunrun offers a pre-paid ppa. In short, if you do a standard 25yr ppa with them that pays around $300/mo it will add up to $90K. But if you pre-pay it, it is only $30K. Big savings there. Don't know if they offer it in your area.

We have solar already. Semper Solaris quoted us $20K to add a battery. We chose not to add a battery storage.

simple... yeah right! way too complex for me. It would have been useful to go BACK TO BASICS. car, (any ev) wall charger, storage battery (tesla etc) solar panels. solar goes to the battery, that gets used by the house. The car gets charged from the grid BECAUSE you may not have enough battery capacity to fill your car and supply the house. Yes there are exceptions...

Great video! Any update on the Meter Calling component for backup, I can’t find any info. I see Enphase has the IQ System Controller that does backup but it’s very expensive and not in the UK yet. Not really suitable for retro fitting.

Just a note... since the temp coefficient numbers are negative, the lower number isn't better... the HIGHER number (on the actual number scale, as in, closer to zero) is desired. As opposed to golf, where if two players are below par (par representing zero), the golfer with the "higher" under (larger negative, further from zero) number would be considered the winner.

Tesla Solar just offered me 7.5% fixed 15 year financing. In house financing.

My SolarEdge inverters have failed EVERY YEAR, except the first, during peak season. The sales person (SunLux) told me they are more reliable. WHAT A LIE! Then they take a month or more to replace the their unit. I've lost so much in time and money because of their failures! #sunlux LIES!

What a BS advertisement for selling solar installations. DIY is recommended for you, unlike his claims of <1%. DIY'er whose paralyzed: 3kw array, 6kw of inverters, 200ah @ 5.12kw. If I can do it, it's recommended for more than 50% of you. Unless you're not capable of keeping up with a gimpy paralytic. I did it all for less than $4k out of pocket. My return on investment will be 18 months.

Had a great experience with Sun Run. GOT 19 panels, Tesla Wall 3, new electrical box and they moved the pipes on my roof. Very professional installation and clean up. Best thing not a penny out of my pocket and six months free electricity too. My payment to Sunrun is 229 a month, vrs my payment with SCE of 450. And no, i dont work for Sunrun.

I am working with Sunrun but throughout Costco. If I go directly to Sunrun, will it be less expensive? Is Costco getting a cut, and that is why it is so costly to install solar, inverter, and Tesla power wall 3?
