I haven't had Hope brakes for years, but both sets I had were junk(same with the hubs), I even had their fancy ventilated rotor. I run Intend rotors now because their science made sense, lots of tiny holes to maximise braking surface area and cooling surface area. Punching big holes in rotors just makes them get hot quicker and wear pads out fast for no real benefit. The rivets do almost nothing for alignment or heat transfer, stainless is a very poor conductor of heat. Multi piece construction reduces the chance of warping because aluminium expands at a much greater rate than stainless. So even though the hat doesn't get as hot as the braking surface it expands a similar amount. I'm a fat brake dragger that has tuned rotors black/blue but never warped one.

i just got my emtb and took it to behind my house i have some trails i finished an green 500m long trail and the rotors are worped, mind you i have them in sram maven ultimate's have to find something that can keep up with the calipers now

Well the science aside, when you are zooming down a rocky trail at ungodly speeds and realize that you need to slow in a hurry having brakes labeled 'hope' really helps! Mine have not let me down yet...😊

Great review, thinking of getting this for my son, he's 6'1" so I'm wondering if you think he'd have a problem peddling it? Of course he'll want to ride it like a motorcycle but I'm sure he'll have to pedal it home sometimes. Thanks for the review!

Go watch Flow Mtb on them there the worst to put on they ding out of true to easy to shimano ice tech and sram! I love hope ran them for years but will only run the new vented discs on my tech 4 think they are 2.3mm thick I have shimano 203mm ice tech and full XT on my other bike they are alot better have to say than Hopes floating disc's hate to say it as hope is made here and ran hope components for past 25 year's but when comes to safety of stopping power the new Vented disc's they have are the way forward for hope

Problem with the fantastic Hope 2 piece rotors, the rivets. They interfere with caliper adapters/spacers on two of my builds in 220/200. Make sure they fit!

Not heard it called a mech here in uk for about 20 year's call them a Derailleur nowadays, one thing though never bent a rear mech hanger in 30 yrs of riding lol that sounds to weird now

ive had mine for 3 months, its a great scooter with awesome range especially being on the heavier side, my only complaint is that the battery percent is not always accurate, it will say 99% full on the scooter yet its only 88% full in the app, and theres limited options in the app

How does someone make a 9 minute video on this drone and not address the elephant in the room? The footage looked crap for todays standard, it isn't competitive, the drone isn't worth talking about.

Does not come even close to the quality of DJI drones. Thats a a toy not a professional drone. After years of being a deadicated hobbiest and investing 10s of thousands of $$$, then to be told that the goverment might be shutting them dowm.... Nope im done. No more drones from me.

Workarounds exist. This is already an uncontrolled consumer space. All these lobbyists are doing is keeping their personal paychecks flowing.

This is another drone from China (hong kong technically) - not sure how this is any different than DJI. That lens looks like it needs 16 UV filters. Could be your render of the video but its choppy.

There really should be a class action lawsuit if this ban goes through. The government was happy to take our sales tax on a product they said was ok for the last 15 years. This would really hurt small businesses. It would cause massive capitol losses to all of the businesses who paid for these drones. They should be reimbursing everyone who bought a drone that they nilly Willy decide to ban Plenty of arguments to be made.

If only someone could compete with DJI without having to ban them to do so , that’d be great. We’re not there yet 😢😊

I work with dji.. To be honest this is insane. Dji does not do any spying for China, they cant be bothered. And most drones and parts in them will be made in China regardless who takes over USA... This is just someone trying to get in market without making good drones..

I think a derailleur hanger alignment tool is a bit overkill for the home mechanic as it's cheaper and easier to simply replace the derailleur hanger.

For someone like me that has a built in hanger on my frame I have no choice but to buy one of these or pay a shop to adjust it. I found one on amazon for 30 bucks to try.

The English steel that Hope uses for its brake discs is the best there is. I have been using Hope disc brakes since 1985. I have used others but only to test how they work, but Hope is number 1 for me.

the heat transfer to the carrier is wishful thinking. the contact area between the steel and aluminum is so small that the heat will just stay on the steel part. it might help against warping, but even that is questionable. I'm testing out cheap 203mm 2.3mm thick rotors made from a single piece of steel. The idea was to have more mass and more heat shedding capacity. not the case, and they warp pretty badly on long descents, however straighten back up once they cool down. Stainless steel is a terrible heat conductor, and warps immensely (common knowledge in welding), so the only way I see to prevent warping is to keep the cool with airflow and/or water.
