I get very very tired of people who use the term "scalper" to mean "person who sells product at market value, when market value is high." Not all scarcity is artificial. MSRP isn't a magic spell that promises you can always find a product at that price. I'm not spamming websites with preorder bots, I just buy a lot of collectibles and so wind up having extras to sell. Yet I get hate mail sometimes for selling.

This was my introduction to Ultraman and I had all of those figures. Such a nostalgia trip! Loved it and still do love it. My only gripe was that the show got cancelled in my area after episode 09, so I never got to see how it ended until it ended up on Hulu for a short time years later. The music is one thing that stands out as such a great companion to the show. Love this!

Wait... if you're going to paint over it, why would you cut out the holes ? There's no need for that in the first place, just paint over it! Now you end up with uneven surface that are easily visible.

Retirement is coming up at the end of this year. I dont see it on my local lego store and its currently on backorder. Its hard to find them now

I hope Playmates makes 5.5 inch figures again. The 6" Lightning Collection figures are slightly too big to display with the vintage 5.5" inch figures. I would love to have 5.5" civilian versions of the Rangers. They could do two 5.5" civilian packs, six figures each, being (Zach, Kimberly, Billy, Trini, Jason, & Tommy (green)) & (Tommy (white), Rocky, Adam, Aisha, Bulk, & Skull). I know when I was a kid I used Jurassic Park figures as unmorphed Rangers because the only ones we actually did get were the 3" PVC figures (aka cake toppers). I don't know if that is possible, but I'd definitely get them if they did make them. I'd love to see some vintage 5.5" Turbo villains figures get reissues as well. Mainly Divatox, Elgar, & Rygog. It's next to impossible to find them complete without going broke. Divatox is 175, Rygog 85, & Elgar is around 45-50. Playmates did re-issues for vintage TMNT. Who knows? Maybe we might get some for Power Rangers.

If you buy multiple sets to sell, you’re a scalper, an investor is just a scalper in denial. Stop lying to yourself and blaming Lego for shortages, if Lego made more sets you people would just buy more to horde lol.

Got in my first in school suspension over these guys. They were givin out in grade 1 for rewards for good behaviour ironically. A kid pulled muckoid bragged about it and i think at that moment my rough luck started lol . That poor class mate had a shiner for two weeks .

Nice review. I actually had the pleasure of working on this show, in the monster puppet/ miniatures dept. I was even asked to redesign Bogun, or at least his lower head, along with Gerukadon. Many years later, when I got into more collecting vinyl kaiju figures, it was cool to see my silly designs as toys.

Noo, the chairs are stickers and i Hate it. The apartments one have waaay more stickers, but the price.. After 4 years the coffe one is the better one, yet the Appartment, pastel color blob is the one skyrocketing in price?

Well I did get that particular Batman for Toy Restoration about 3 years ago. It didn't come with a cape However I was able to attach a cheap cape to it. I also painted it more black to resemble the suit in the film. Also I however enjoy Batman Forever.

Was there another line of these aswell? I remember having a purple monster with a huge mouth filled with trash, and wearing round flip flops...

I had this, infact i held onto the larger sections the longest and used them for decoration as a teenager. But as a kid this was my favorite playset overall. If i remember correctly the Batman Returns Batmobile that i preferred (i did have the Forever version.) Fit on the floor rotator too. But a problem I'd have is Batman driving away but i forgot to reset the platform before he came back. If memory serves it doesn't fit completely if it's not facing a specific way when you drove it up. But the computer banks, the gigantic spires, i had the Batman Forever Batwing (I actually loved that one.) It fit really well on the slot on the back. I remember i bumped into it and was surprised it didn't fall off.

In Japan, this series was called Ultraman Great.

I really wanted these figures

I was a kid when the Ultraman TV show came out and it was my favorite show to watch. My dad bought me a bunch of the Ultraman toys. I had Ultraman and a few of the monsters. They were bigger than normal toys. I loved my Ultraman toys.. My mom is a diehard Christian.. She went in my room when I wasn't there and took all my Ultraman toys and threw them away. She said they were the devil. My dad was very upset over that. I'm 40 now and my dad passed away in 2011 and I haven't seen my mom since. I just never jived with her. I'm a Christian but she took it to complete insanity..

Ya'll should totally have Bill on! I've worked on a few toy protos with him and he's just a fountain of knowledge. A true toy inventor, not to mention just a good guy all around.

Altough I agree this is huge, I find this the best Batman playset of all time, it captures so much the spirit of the movie, it even has a way to put 2 vehicles and simulate the exit from the cave by the Batmobile faithfully to the movie, even in an somehawt awkward way!

Towards the future was the worst Ultraman iteration in my opinion. I had the toys but got rid of all of them just simply because I couldn't stand the show. I have a vast Ultraman collection, BTW, but NO TTF!

Still enjoy this show, especially episode 2 which plays out like a proper kaiju film with a tragic monster.

VERY interesting to see your choices Motyl... The fact that my preferences are almost completely different shows just how subjective and versatile these toys/characters were. I had 35/36 of the trash bag bunch myself - and still have at least 30 in a box somewhere in my closet. Your video makes me want to do my own ranking! LEGO - 2K Drive 🤯🤯

My uncle asked me what I wanted for Christmas that year. I always wanted the Wayne Manor/Batcave folding playset so that’s what I told him to get. In the end, he got mixed up and bought this Batcave instead of the Wayne Manor/Batcave set. I was somewhat disappointed but this was still a fun set nonetheless.

I grew up with the show and collected all the comic books that came out at the time. Never got the VHS, but I did get all the monster figures. I didn't want the Ultraman one because he was too "human like". I just wanted monster toys lol! I still enjoy the show and music and the monster designs are fun. Freaking crazy that they did not make a Gudis figure. The guy was the big bad for for the first half over the series.

Avoid this one because it already has everything else but in a tinier set in the next version

I bought one of these last week, I saw it on the retiring page. I found a neat MOC Modular Building on Rebrickable and have turned it into that! Lots of pieces left over but sits nicely amongst my other building sets now and has closed-in walls.
