Awe, it's too bad that the house couldn't have remained in its historical square footage. I did a report on this house, in about 2002, for an Interior Design class, at Phoenix College, and really enjoyed researching this unique house. I never saw the inside of it, but drove near it, many times, to view the Phoenix area, on both sides of Camelback mountain, when I still lived in the area. I hope that the final results, of the remodel, will still look good, given the location, and elevation.

I dated a guy that lived there. He was the nephew of the dentist that built it and lived there. There was a guest house on the tunnel that led into the castle and that’s where he lived. He gave me a tour of the house and it was gorgeous. It had an indoor/outdoor pool with a glass wall that you swam under to get from inside to outside. That appears to be gone. It also had a real dungeon in a tunnel below the house. The house looks destroyed now, I guess it’s getting a remodel. I really hope they put all of its features back together and that they restore it rather than remodel it.

Built in 1977 sure, we have been lied to about everything. The way the bricks fade into foundation, which then fades into the earth. You can not tell where the man made portion ends and nature begins. This epic structure has all the classic signs of Old world construction.

Hi there... We went down to Rocky Point the day after Christmas. We had high hopes to get some drone footage from our condo at Sonoran Spa but before we launched, we started looking at the rules about flying a drone on Mexican soil and realized that not only were we not allowed to fly our drone but it could have been confiscated at the border with no recourse. Needless to say, we didn't get any footage because we were too scared of having our drone taken away in case someone saw it and somehow found us.
