- Poston Butte, originally known as Primrose Hill, is located in Florence, AZ. On the top of the butte is the pyramid tomb of Charles Poston, 'The Father of Arizona". He lobbied President Lincoln and congress for the creation of the Arizona Territory, lasting from February 24, 1863 to February 14, 1912 when Arizona was admitted into the Union.
