Hi. I wish you'd update your site. LOAW books aren't in the books section and there's no blog post in forever. Plus browsing the blog posts is based on the month instead of say 10 posts per page, so I have to keep checking one month after another to find the relevant one where I want to post a comment. About volume 9 of LOAW: it doesn't seem like there's much difference between the first fight and the last fight in terms of the balance of power, so why did the mercs hold back and draw the team to them instead of just finishing it right away? About volume 10, chapter 4: I really wish Uriel would have given a speech explaining how the Pantheon was buying and kidnapping innocent human children in order to do horrific things to them, denouncing the Pantheon for these acts, and explaining that what he's about to do is because one of the people who were knowingly procuring children for this was based in this city. I'd have loved to read that speech, and the reactions of the residents. Also, I want to read LOAW as a manga. Any chance this will happen?

Opening the movie with a long battle was the best way to ensure the viewer gets engaged from the start. The introduction of the new characters was smooth too. From the first scenes we determine that Nishi is a calm person, yet competitive, hotheaded and reticent to change. Tamaki is excited for a battle, impulsive, and as laid back as Nishi. Fukuda haphazardly rushed into a fight, but is the only one from Chi-ha-tan willing to develop to new tactics. Klara, the only real Russian from Pravda, marks the birth of the recurring joke about Katyusha disliking when people are talking in a foreign language around her. Then we get the enthusiastic Rosehip whose personality made her a fan favorite. I've seen a lot of posts about her to state that.

Nothing really huge this battle, both storywise and strategywise, at least on the surface, but it does introduce many new characters and two new schools in Keizuko and Chi-Ha-Tan. It's the perfect beginning to the new chapter of Girls und Panzer. It's nice to see everyone coming together to have fun in a playful exhibition match to help ease us back into the series as a whole. And it helps set up the main battle in the latter half of the movie with the massive amounts of foreshadowing. It's not my favorite battle in terms of story, but it's definitely enjoyable and one I remember fondly. It's silly fun with lots of amazing callbacks from all the battles of season 1. Still kinda miffed about Oarai losing, as the massive Oarai fan that I am, but it was done in such a way that made sense, was a total sudden shock with how close Oarai was to winning, and shows that no team is undefeatable. And it was a good way to keep up the fact that Oarai never beat St Gloriana before, setting up the final match in Das Finale. Overall a really nice and fun with lots of smaller moments to help ease us back into the series and set up the rest of the movie. I like it a lot. Nice to see another video after so long. And it was a really great one. Thanks for the amazing analysis video and I can't wait for the next one, even if it takes another month or so. But until then, take care Ascendant.

6:37 Not only that, but if you take notice of the tanks she's using at this point, she's now leaning towards a more agile/mobile style of engaging, basically what the germans did, sacrificing armor in favour of Mobility (most world military did), though personally, i think Erika's gonna be the star on changing kuro's play style that would eventually become what most first gen MBT does like the leopard 1s. Who knows maybe in the distant years by the time kuro had their Leopard 1 fight up against a St. Gloria's Centurion.

Spoiler for Das Finale 4 I kinda wish that Oorai would have struggled more after Miho has been taken out, I also like that while Azusa took the lead, she wasent the one to take out the flag tank down instead it's the Gamers. Outside of those nitpicks I'm fine with Oorai vs Jatkosota and it’s result.

I get the defense of tradition in any other situation. As long as ones culture or tradition harms no one, its all good. But the right to swing my fist ends when the other mans face begins. And the fact of the matter is that both Hana and Mihos family lives are abusive. They disowned their children over a SCHOOL CLUB. This is literally child abuse. There are no cultural or traditional explainations that make the actions of these parents not monstrously abusive. Hana and Miho both are one hundred percent in the right to tell their parents to fuck off. Both parents only show any form of love or understanding when their child succeeds. Meaning that the lesson that their children are left with is that I am only worthy when I succeed. That is horrible parenting. Also you claim that Miho and her family are on good terms by the end of the show, I have only made it to finale 3 so far cuz I can't find finale four anywhere. But this point is a complete contradiction to another one of your videos. You point out that Maho never actually felt any sort of divided between Miho based on her actions it's all in Mihos head and it's a lack of communication between the two sisters which is bad. The most important thing in any relationship on this Earth is communication. (Also Maho literally let her subordinate verbally abuse her depressed and traumatized little sister. Its not until the movie the Maho defends Miho. Like Wtf, an apology is needed for sure.) But back to the point that the family is whole and the issues are resolved, in the film Maho literally hides Miho from the mother, the older sister understands that the mother is not over it and that the younger sister is being emotionally abused and traumatized by the mother. The situation is not resolved, the Two Sisters just have somewhat better understanding of one another. On a side note, Communication is the most important thing in this world. No one is a telepath, and only groups that have great communication can pull off the "knowing what the other is thinking" troupe because they understand each others true thought processes. That takes vulnerability and trust. If you cant be vulnerable with someone, you cant have communication with them.

When Darjeeling ☕ learns Miho’s last name was Nishizumi she seemed genuinely surprised and her saying “you are from the Nishizumi school rather different from Maho I see” says to me she didn’t know about Miho transferring to Ooarai and that Shiho had practically cast out & disowned Miho, I think Darjeeling can be a little blunt sometimes but she’s still a great character 😊

Rosehip is the result of one of the showrunners realizing that they needed someone to represent the soccer hooligan stereotype.

I feel like the artiat who came up with Rosehip and the rest of the Crusaders is a Heart fan. Rosehip's actions also make me think of Bill Slim, the commander of the 14th army in the British Far East (India & Burma). A hard fighting commander much loved by his troops.

Rosehip and Klara were absolutely perfect additions for Girls und Panzer. They are easily some of my favorite characters of both their respective schools and the series as a whole. Rosehip is the exact opposite of everyone in St Gloriana introduced so far. She's speedy, excitable, energetic, expressive, and very wild and wacky. She's basically Darjeeling's excitable puppy and adds so much to St Gloriana's style of Sensha-do, something Darjeeling uses to full effect in whatever roll she's placed in. She really is a lovable, dorky, speedster and was a welcome addition to the, up until this point, slow, graceful, and calm St Gloriana. Klara is a perfect partner for Nonna and counter for Katyusha with how calm and collected she is at all times while trolling Katyusha by speaking Russian most of the time, especially in Katyusha's presence. Klara really is Katyusha's other surrogate mother where she's more expressive and cheerful while Nonna is more stoic and reserved. And Klara really helped Katyusha to trust her teammates more thanks to her sacrifice in the final battle of Der Film and helped pave the way for Katyusha's new thought process when it comes to her teammates and how to use them effectively in Sensha-do like how she did in Das Finale. Both characters are outstanding additions to their respective schools and thr series as a whole add so much to both their schools in both character and in Sensha-do. I really can't wait to see what wacky shenanigans Rosehip gets up to in the final match of Das Finale.

Klara gave her ability to understand japanese away early in der Film. In the spa scene, Nonna tells Katyusha to put her shoulders underneath the water and count to one hundred. When Katyusha lowers her shoulders below the water's surface, Klara starts counting in russian. Katyusha didn't realize "Why is this person would doesn't speak japanese (at least to Katyusha's knowledge at the time) counting in russian after Nonna said to start counting?"

You really need to cover the manga stuff, as it adds to these characters

A thing i like with the contrast with Rosehip and the rest of the STG cast is they kind of mirror British officers in WW2, you had the calm and collected types like Wavell, Monty and Auchinleck and then you have the crazy ones like Paddy Mayne, Sterling and Wingate. Because while the latter group like Rosehip don't really fit in with the more "gentlemanly" feel, sometimes you just need to go with the crazy option and for that you need people who are a little crazy themselves. I mean look at some of the operations the British pulled off like Operation Cariot, i doubt someone like Darjeeling would come up with something like ramming a dock gate in enemy territory with a bomb on board that but i can certianly see Rosehip doing it.
