Kitten Rescue - Stuck in pipe...
Просмотров 2162 года назад
The mother cat had 3 kittens and lives under my neighbors trailer and shed. We and the ASPCA have tried several times to catch the mother cat, but she is to smart and will not step into a trap. One of the kitten's fell into the pipe which is about 2 feet deep. After hearing the kitten meowing for help I finally figured out where it was. My neighbor wasn't home at the time so I had to act on my ...
6 Volt VW Beetle Generator Polarization
Просмотров 1,5 тыс.2 года назад
This is the generator from my 1965 VW beetle. It is 6 volts and has not run since 1989. My generator has been taken apart a few times and I don't have any photo's show how the coil wires were run inside. For some reason the generator was running backwards when trying to polarize it. When I switched the field coil wire leads around the generator started polarizing in the right direction. Once I ...

After cleaning the commutator with a nail file I got more volts coming out of the generator. Now a 36 hp VW engine idles at around 550 rpm and yes the drill says 1350 rpm but I have no way of knowing if that is under load or not. I have no way to measure the rpm of the motor at this time. 12 Volt VW Beetle Generator Polarization
Просмотров 10 тыс.2 года назад
This 12 volt VW Beetle generator has been sitting around in a barn and out in a field since the 80's. It is off a engine from I think 1968. I did not do anything to the generator other then blow it out with air. This generator is wired the same way my 6 volt generator is wired without the regulator on it. My 6 volt generator will not run as a DC motor nor will it generate any voltage at this ti...

My Mendel90, Marlin 1.0.0, Pronterface and Slic3r, 20mm test cube

I built my Mendel90 back in 2016. I hit several problems with uploading the Marlin 1.0.0. firmware to the ATmega1284P chip between compiling errors or programmer not responding. Then the Mighty Core came out and I was able to compile the sketch correctly but only in the Marlin 1.0.0 version. All other versions of Marlin would not compile correctly with the Mighty Core ATmega 1284P chip in Ardui...

My Mendel90 build update

A while back I built this Mendel90 3D printer but never finished it because of updating firmware problems. Thanks to 2 friends I recently I was able to get the Marlin 1.0.0 firmware upload to the ATmega1284P chip using Arduino IDE 1.8.12 and a Arduino Uno R3. I've been trying to update the settings for the stepper motors which is not easy because I used scrap stuff to build the print. So my thr...

It started raining out as I was doing this video and is why you see dots on all the engine parts. The car has been sitting since 2016 was only moved once in that time.

Audio Spectral Analyzer program and a coil
I'm glad I found this video for this model. I couldn't find any on cleaning but mostly for draining. Thank you for the assistance.
Where did you find a draining video? I couldn't even find that... That's it, I'm ripping mine apart and taping everything....
Someone donated the same AC to me so I followed your video. It was easier taking off the front then the rear (just came apart easier). After pulling it apart, the dust was like a thick shag carpet on the interior. It took the better part of an hour to vacuum all that out thoroughly. Thank you for a great video, it was a real help!
Shouldn't this thing hit like 35 VDC output ? 8 V seemed to be the max here. Yea, I have the red light on and that's It' time to fix it, even it means pulling the engine from the bus and converting to an alternator.... we are not stopping until it's over.
How to clean coil?
Bravo
I'm really struggling using the source code , any help would be grateful please
Thanks a bunch
What is the point in changing the pic lettering? Ive seen pic12F508, 12F508A, 12C508, 12C508A Confusing. So these microcontrollers act differently? Also where to find the original electronic parts used on the madlabs junior theremin?
Does this work on an alternator?
you don't have to polarize an alternator.
Thank you very much for your experience
This is awsume
Hi! Have you tried uploading the firmware on the old firmware?
This is great information. One point to consider is that a generator will put out varying amounts of voltage depending on the speed. So, your drill will probably need to be producing something like 1200 - 1500 RPM before you will see the 14V output you are looking for. That range is a bit of a guess. It may need to be closer to 2K or more.
can you give a .txt for the code edit's
I have also same problem.
Is there a parts list?
i think u can lock each line so they dont move.
How do you do that? I have the same issue and cant figure out how

Can you give me the dimensions of the circuit board?
All it does is pick up electromagnetic radiation. Neutrons, protons and electrons. No one has proven that a paranormal figure emits any of those.
I have VSDC in spanish. To fix it I selected the Video one. Then in properties window, I changed block duration to "No", then I selected the second video, and changed block duration to "No". That fixed it.
What did you use to cover the chip board with
I’ve just purchased and built my 2nd one and have issues again. Everything seems to work almost but I get no square wave test pattern and I get no trace line. It seems to be locked in across the top of the screen. Any ideas why? I’m quite sure I installed all components correctly I’ll check again today. Wish they used better quality hardware but that’s just what you pay for. It’s not a clone but maybe the main chip is. FRUSTRATING but I’ll keep troubleshooting 👍 Artie
What did you use for the greenish yellow stuff for the top?
thanks
Hey Kenn, is the air vent piece supposed to get really hot ? The white air pump that attaches to the outside gets quite hot , not sure if that is causing any issues ?
Yes the exhaust vent gets hot because all the heat from the compressor and back coil unit exit at this point. My unit gets to 114F degrees (45.55C) at the exhaust port on the back of the machine. Window units have the back half hanging outside so you don't feel the heat coming off them. With portable units the whole AC unit is inside so the heat has to be piped to the outside.
Can you make a video on how you made this?
Are you using a weight on the piezo? I ask because at the moment I'm using a 2oz fishing weight. I'm wondering if what you are using on the piezo would work better?
Yes I use a fishing weight that I flatten the ends so it doesn't roll away.
@@kennswhatchamacallit9376 ah, gotcha. Thanks 👍
I have a good idea for you if you want to empty your water bucket you could drill a hole in the bottom the size of maybe a small hose and get some fittings and Route the hose outside so the water drains and it never gets to the level to where you have to empty it it'll just keep on going thanks for your video that gave me a great idea
It actually has a continuous drain hose in there! Just gotta remove the plug in it and route it under the bucket. Im gonna go get a longer hose for mine later!
@@sandbucket3245how do you do that?
Do you have more videos on this machine? Like the drain line or cleaning the coils or adding coolant???
I’m getting a P1 error code. And my unit doesn’t cool down as much like before . What can I do ? Thanks !!!
On my unit the P1 error is when the draw on the side is not fully pushed in or full of water. If the unit is not cooling as well I would remove the covers to see if there is lint build up on the cooling fins. If you have a large build up of lint covering the fins it will stop air from flowing through the unit and the unit will over heat. If the unit is clean with no lint and not cooling I would have professional check the refrigerant levels in the unit.
@@kennswhatchamacallit9376 thanks Kenn. My unit is connected to outside of my home also so I can have the water go out that way. Could that be a factor as well? It seems the water isn’t exiting that way, but instead building up in the draw and I have to keep emptying the draw
@@matthewhennessy257 I would disconnect the hose and put it into a pan to test whether it's draining through the hose or not. If you let the machine sit to long a spider could build it's nest inside the hose causing a clog, so you need to check for that. I would also test the drain pipe going to the outside of your home. Mud wasps around here like to build there nests in pipes so check yours as it might be clogged. Also if your drain pipe is to narrow you might have to vent it like the way a kitchen or bathroom sink is vented other wise you might be building up a vacuum in the line. Try these things and see if it helps.
You wouldn't have the Gerber files for this board would you?
I'm getting a P-1 error on my EverStar unit. Can you show how to put the tube into the pull-out drawer to get rid of the error code please?
Hi yes, in the video at time stamp 3:08 I try to explain if the bottom of the drawer is dirty it needs to be cleaned off. You can us soap and warm water to clean off any build up on the bottom of the drawer and the shelf that it sits on. Then I use Johnson's Past Wax on the bottom of the drawer and the shelf to make everything slide better. The tube does not go inside the pull out drawer it sits on the side and is only used if you have a external drain source. You can see in my video were the tube sits. There is a micro switch that is above the drawer and works off the black plastic float lever that is inside and on the top of the drawer. If the float lever does not move freely then you will have problems. If the micro switch goes bad you will have problems. I would check and make sure these 2 area's are working ok.
Wow... Thank you so much for this video! I'd searched a year ago and didn't see anything on this AC unit. I will definitely give the unit a good lint scrub down.
You're welcome, I just picked up this portable AC unit but found very few video's on it as well. After figuring out how to take it apart without breaking it I decided to make a video on it to help other people.
@@kennswhatchamacallit9376any updates on new video of this AC?

Sorry I'm just a novice at this VSDC editor it was the reason I made the video to show VSDC Support Team my problem. I also found that VSDC only does certain things in the free version. Since this video upload, Micro Soft did a update to my Windows 7 OS causing it to say it wasn't Genuine. I tried many things to fix my Windows 7 OS but it wouldn't accept anything, so I moved to Linux Zorin 16 OS. Unfortunately VSDC video editor does not work on Linux, so I went with Kdenlive and Blender.
That is amazing and it works so well
Let see this in use in your ghost investigations. That would be awesome.
Yes it is a device that can be used in Paranormal (ghost) investigation to indicate footsteps across a wooden floor. The first one I saw used was in a Ghost Hunter TV show episode .
how to make it?
Do you mean from what I use for the schematic and PCB editor to etching the copper clad board?
Good video. Mine was working, but I may have damaged something during casing. Once it goes off in default mode it won't stop! 555 timer? I did get hot glue near it. It self tests and changes modes just fine.
Can you tell me how I would add an external power switch instead of the push buttons? How would I write that up with a 9 volt battery? Thanks
All you do is put the positive wire to the switch and from the switch to were the positive wire solders on to the board. It just cuts the power between the battery and the board.
That is VERY skilled and neat soldering
Thank you. I use to be a "B" grade solderer for a electronics company.
Why was the 508 chip not added?
please can you do a tutorial video how to make please
