Great story. Wonderful narrator, my favorite. But, oh my lord! Trust me, the expression "eh?" is NOT used by many Canadians. It is commonly only used as a joke; it sprung from a comedy Canadian TV program. I am Canadian.

I always enjoy a mystery including family history. Very well done.

This was an enthralling book. I stayed up late listening. A small reward for being unemployed.

It's always kind of sad when the narrator sounds nothing like you would think the character sounds. Mouse and Sister come off sounding about twenty years older than they actually are (at least to my ear) and I find that distracts from my enjoyment of listening to the book. Also, there's not much happening in this book except many and multiple and a lot of car trips up and down a mountain.

As always this was a winner. The reader was perfect. Too bad about the background noise that sounded like a plane flying overhead during the last hour or so. It was a bit of a distraction.
