Hello!
My name is Joelle, I am 22 years old, a Christian, and the second oldest in a family of twelve! Join me as I share my ever changing life! I love homemaking, vintage fashion, music & books, I love cooking and creating things with my hands! I have never been the athletic girl, I just wanted to talk incessantly (though I have learned some self control in that area and can appreciate silence now!😂), cook, and read my books! I love all the cozy things, tea, coffee, candles, homemade food, antique stores, book & thrift shops! Well those are a few random things about me! What about you?

It's already 2025 for me so HAPPY NEW YEAR
🎊🥳Thank you Tammy! And happy 2025!
HAPPY NEW YEAR!!🎉 the food looks delicious. I'm going to try the recipes
@ Thank you Kathy!!!🥰 And to you as well! Let me know what you think of them!
Where do you live? Did I mishear, you stated Shabbat? I thought your “about” said you were Christian.
Hello Lynn! ❤️ We live in the Missouri Ozarks! No, you didn’t mishear. We are Christian’s, we have observed the sabbath as outlined in the scripture (in the Ten Commandments, Exodus, Leviticus and many other books of the Bible!). Which means we prepare as much as possible the day before (food, cleaning the house, etc.) to clear the day for complete rest. We feast on lots of food, read the Bible, take naps, etc. it has been such a blessing to us! We use the word Shabbat interchangeably with Sabbath since we have many friends who call it that and it is familiar to us, we aren’t Jewish we just love God’s feasts and sabbaths. 🥰 if you would like to learn more I’d encourage you to read about it in your bible, I am not sure which version you read, so the term may be unfamiliar, but in the King James Bible (which is mostly what i read from) the sabbath is mentioned often and I enjoy reading all the verses that apply at least once a year. Thank you for your comment and for watching the video Lynn! If you have any other questions I’d love to talk about it, but don’t feel obligated.❤️ Have a wonderful week!🤗
@ thank you for your wonderful response to my question. I’m knowledgeable about the workings of the Jewish rituals of the Sabbath and the tie in to the Christian teachings, but I just wanted clarification since I know few Christians who practice and participate in such a ritual that in this day and age is so strongly associated with Judaism. May your family all be blessed.
@ Thank you Lynn! I am so glad that my heart behind the response was read, it is so easy for tone to be lost in text! Thank you for being understanding!❤️ We understand the association with Judaism, we only keep the feasts talked about in the Bible not the extra Jewish traditions like Hanukah, Purim, etc. not that those are wrong necessarily, we just don’t want to confuse tradition with His feasts and celebrations. It was something that we were unsure on when we first started to follow more of the biblical celebrations and feasts, etc. but this is where we are currently.❤️ May Yahweh bless you and all your family my friend!🤗
@ Raquel hiller - Women living Torah has a wonderful channel that I enjoy too, if the subject interests you. Obviously we won’t share exactly the same beliefs as we are different people, but she explains things very well and I enjoy watching her.❤️
Love the knit projects!!! You are so talented, Joelle! We miss you guys. I've sent you a few texts, but haven't heard back in a while. ❤ you all From The Baldwins
Thank you Sherry! Lilley was just asking me if I had heard from you! I am so sorry I missed your texts!❤️ My phone quit working in early August and I never replaced it. Do you have my email? I lost yours… 😬 Mom’s phone number is working again though! We really miss you all! I hope that you are all well!
I would like to know what you put in your soups. Not recipes just vegetables and other things. A framework so to speak. I like the kielbasa like soup. I am currently making leftover ham and split pea soup. I noticed the kielbasa soup has potatoes and carrots celery and maybe spinach but not sure what else except big spoonful of sour cream.
Of course! This soup had carrots, potatoes, kielbasa, kale, turnips, celery, onions, rutabaga, leeks and mixed (beef, chicken, venison) bone broth. Basically we get all the root vegetables we can find, bone broth, a meat or two, then put them together! We had just made an Azure order so this one was rich in variety! I recently made a more simple one with a roux that I added bone broth, grated carrots, cheddar, onions, cheddar, and salt + pepper to season. Other things we like are broccoli, smoked turkey legs (made into broth and the meat added), cabbage, celeriac root, jicama, garbanzo beans, kidney beans, taro root, radishes (so good! They get mellow when cooked and are like a less starchy potato!), pearled barley is delicious! I also search Pinterest and instagram for “soup” and then browse for flavor combination inspiration. I hope that helps! I love a good split pea soup with either smoked turkey or turkey ham, yum!
@JoelleGrace thanks 😊 you have lots of great ideas.

😂 An unusual but fun activity..🤭 Like a Montessori activity for adults…
I love to go thrifting. We get as much as we can from thrift stores and garage sales. I've never been to Costco. My husband has access to Sam's through his job, but we don't go often, because it's in a different town.💜
We do too! It is more fun and definitely more cost effective! We didn’t have a Costco near us until recently, but even then it is a drive so we just go about once a month. We needed to get some clothes so this was a good day to do both. this is a town we don’t go to often because we don’t “need” to. We can shop other places for everything most of the time. We used Sam’s club for years but it is also always been a longer drive!
Your family seems to truly enjoy each other's company

@@ouachitafarmacy @HomesteadTessie Thank you!😊 We have collected our plates over the years at bulk Amish and Mennonite stores. The brand is Lindy and you can also find them on Amazon (along with many many other styles and brands!) I believe they are cheaper at the bulk stores around us but if you don’t have any around you, it is nice that amazon carries them as well! We prefer the heavy duty version but they are all nice. @@Roehrtribe We need to find more meals like this, quick and semi-inexpensive…
@@JoelleGrace I love beans and rice! ;)
@ 🤪 We do have some more canned Mexican beans I found….
This meal came out at under 30$ for our family of 11. We bought a package of the Teriyaki pineapple meat balls from Costco, made four cups of jasmine rice, half a bag of organic frozen broccoli also from Costco, and served it with Japanese Barbecue sauce from Costco too. This with pickled ginger, sauerkraut (although we ended up not eating it), and about 3/4 gallon of milk made our lunch.it was tasty and pretty budget friendly! I believe it was actually just over 2$ but because I’m sharing this on the internet, I said a higher number so people didn’t get mad at me…🤪 I didn’t plan on sharing thus so i dont have exact prices but taken with a grain of salt and room for errors, here is a rough breakdown.. 7$ for the half bag of broccoli 14$ for the meatballs 4$ for the rice (at the time we bought it in bulk from Azure standard) 2$ pickled ginger 1$ for the Japanese Barbecue sauce =28$
Like it or not there are things we don’t want to do but have to no matter what. There are things I’ve not wanted to do and I put it off and finally have suck it up and get it done no matter what. ( paperwork for Bruce’s owner operator business. I hate paper work I’m procrastinating every month )
