This meal came out at under 30$ for our family of 11. We bought a package of the Teriyaki pineapple meat balls from Costco, made four cups of jasmine rice, half a bag of organic frozen broccoli also from Costco, and served it with Japanese Barbecue sauce from Costco too. This with pickled ginger, sauerkraut (although we ended up not eating it), and about 3/4 gallon of milk made our lunch.it was tasty and pretty budget friendly! I believe it was actually just over 2$ but because I’m sharing this on the internet, I said a higher number so people didn’t get mad at me…🤪 I didn’t plan on sharing thus so i dont have exact prices but taken with a grain of salt and room for errors, here is a rough breakdown.. 7$ for the half bag of broccoli 14$ for the meatballs 4$ for the rice (at the time we bought it in bulk from Azure standard) 2$ pickled ginger 1$ for the Japanese Barbecue sauce =28$
Looks like a very tasty meal. Would you please share where you got the stainless steel dinnerware? I can no longer hold the weight of stoneware and trying to get away from plastics.
@@ouachitafarmacy @HomesteadTessie Thank you!😊 We have collected our plates over the years at bulk Amish and Mennonite stores. The brand is Lindy and you can also find them on Amazon (along with many many other styles and brands!) I believe they are cheaper at the bulk stores around us but if you don’t have any around you, it is nice that amazon carries them as well! We prefer the heavy duty version but they are all nice. We have never had them crack or break and rarely ever have gotten a dent (and that was on the thinner version). The plates with different sections were actually a gift from a friend recently so I’ll have to get the link from her! Thank you both for watching and commenting! Have a wonderful day!🥰
