Will this help grow some mid back muscle? I'm so lacking between my shoulder blades, been trying to fix that lately. I like this video, too. I have been coming up with some seemingly not seen before exercises/ROM's as of late.

Late to this convo. I consume quite a bit of caffeine daily from various sources, but mostly from coffee, so I’m concluding from this talk that caffeine/cortisol connection is likely the biggest reason for my low hormones since my mid-30’s. A zero-stress life since my mid 40’s but sex drive turned down even further while I kept upping the daily dose of caffeine, so makes sense why now mid-50’s no change, and even worse. BHRT has resolved several issues typical in menopause, but my libido still mostly off. My doctor doesn’t think my caffeine habit is interfering with hormone therapy, but I strongly believe it probably is. Not sure if anything will change now if I add pregnenolone while ditching the caffeine but I will be experiment…fingers crossed.
Life just isn't that simple. You can't take 2 things in your life that could be coincidental and then draw causal conclusions as if you know more than a doctor. Caffeine may increase ACTH but ACTH increases pregnenolone synthesis which can go downstream into cortisol. If caffeine is removed, the same pathway is decreased, leaving you with less pregnenolone. Cortisol is wakefulness producing so if you're feeling no stress and having no sleep interruption, I doubt it's an overproduction of cortisol. Bioidentical hormone therapy is just marketing that gets you to spend more money on HRT. Sorry you fell for that nonsense. Might be worth taking some DHEA and pregnenolone. See if your hormone clinic will charge you 50x the price for them.
Glad to hear stress is low but I certainly don't think coffee is that detrimental. I will have an impact but in isolation if stress is not super high all day I wouldn't say that's the issue. There can be many causes of low hormones and will be interesting to see how you feel after a few months of BHRT but if still an issue going into more of our sleep, gut health and menopausal trainings might be helpful as we work with this all the time. Hope this helps :)
@@troy3423 Life may not be that simple as you say but I have to start somewhere when looking for solutions (especially when doctors have no clue yet collect fees and give no answers). BHRT has been helpful in several ways though it has had no effect on my libido. I am grateful it is available because it brought me so much relief. The BS is that the doctor lead with “libido” being one of the biggest improvement I would get from BHRT. I do consume A LOTTT of caffeine; not just coffee, hence I have to conclude that it plays a role in creating biochemical stress! If I have to make changes, it should start there -reducing caffeine.

Then in your end statement you did exactly that -drew casual conclusions by saying: “Might be worth taking some DHEA and pregnenolone”. Sounds a bit oxymoronic!!! YOU can draw casual conclusions about my body and my personal experience, but I can’t?…because YOU know more than a doctor? Or, are you a doctor here to bully me about taking a backseat in my own health journey?
@@massageistherapy I never drew any conclusions about coincidental things. I said they MIGHT help you whereas you said you STRONGLY believe that its coffee despite being told otherwise. As you said, you know your body so figure it out!

Growing up in Iran have soon a lot of women increase the amount of lamb fat and animal fat in their diet for energy and bone health. I could see those who eat animal fat were healthier and more active and mentally more stable.
Fat gain is not about an inability to use cholesterol, rather its about disruption to the bodies metabolic processes. This can have a negative effect on cholesterol causing it to rise which could make it look like you are not able to use it.

High pregnenolone can be due to high chronic stress, immune activation or steroid use like cortisone, hydrocortisone and prednisone so naturally bring levels down will require looking through these to assess deeper triggers.

Which resistance band do you use, light or medium?
Very dependant on weight used. Too many people make the mistake of going too heavy on the band that the resistance curve is too drastic. Start with a 7.5kg/15lb and build up. Until you get beyond 3 plates this should be enough.
