I put about a hundred rounds thru my TTI Combat before it started the infamous failure to return to battery issue. I cleaned it and continued to use it and found about a 20% failure rate, which is significant. I contacted Canik which by then was very familiar with the issues. They sent me another slide recoil spring which fixed the intermittent out of battery issue.

they are sending out higher wight recoil springs for free to fix the problem which does suck to have to do for a 1000 dollar gun but the way it is out of the box is perfect for someone who has high grip strength and can use the port and comp the way it was intended. from the research I've done on it it seems highly skilled people like it a lot more than the average joe because they can hold the gun extremely flat and get the most out of the comp, but that is kind of counter productive because most of those people can afford a much better gun, but for the person who wants to buy once and cry once i think this is a good gun to learn on and get better with as it will get better with you too.

What trigger you have installed? An was the factory trigger not good?

It is amazing how many guys hold their guns Wrong, and blame the gun.

Had 2 failures on my first time at the range when I was limp wristing, The rest of the night It shot perfectly when I gripped it firm.

I would recommend not shooting targets by water so the lead bullets don't end up in it and letch into the water.

And I also had problems with my gun, I bought Gun Butter and I haven't had any more problems. 200 round 115gr

20” barrel, A2 flash hider, H2 buffer and shot setting 3 for about 15 rounds and switched to setting 2 and runs fine. It will do 1” with Hornady Black 168gr, Hornady Whitetail 150’s about 2”, Rifle Line 150’s 2.5 to 3”. I have more ammo coming to try but Hornady Black is looking good. These are all three shot groups because I bought it to hunt with and that’s all I need to see. Also why I put the A2 on right from the start. Dropped in a CMC today and will see what that does. Currently about 70 rounds through it with 10 round magpul mag. Does not feed well with ASC 5 round mag. Rifle came with the 20 round mag but not legal for hunting here so have not tried it.

I have had a few failures to feed and several light primer strikes. In about a 100 rounds, I wonder if it has to do with the lower serial numbered firearms ?

I have over 1200 rounds of 115 grain ammo. I had 2 failure to feed in the first 250 rounds. Has run perfectly since then. Love it.

Is the IWI a chrome lined cold hammer forged barrel? The PSA standard barrels are CroMoly nitride steel, and it’s a fair price to upgrade to the FN CHF barrels in the PSA, before the top end Sabre PSAs.

I contacted Century Arms and they asked no questions. They just immediately had me send it in. They have had it a few weeks.

physics 101 guys, the extra power provides more velocity and increase turbulence and more dispersion, lower power- less velocity- less dispersion, but the result is ---the same mass (lead) has a smaller footprint to transfer the energy thus greater penetration.. of course assuming same barrel length and burn rate and same mass. This can easy demonstrated by throwing a hand full of marbles gently vs hard, watch the spread of marbles. This will be up to a distance then the velocity drops too much,,,etc blah, blah, blah,, in short,, you what short range, optimize for it.

I have 2 of these canik tti's, bought 3 months apart. Both shoot FLAWLESSLY! I even shoot lower power competition rounds.

The majority of the damage was caused by hydrostatic shock, I would be curious to chronograph that round out of that pistol versus a rifle, is it lethal? I have no doubt, but in self-defense incapacitation is paramount, if the assailant dies after he kills you is mute, we shoot to stop or neutralize the threat.

I would call this a well informed and thought out build, I am not willing to go through the paperwork to get a suppressor, for many reasons but I digress, I went with a 16 1/7 twist for my 300BO build, for no other reason than the fact that I took the brand new barrel as partial trade and it sat in my safe for two years before I finally had time and thought to research the caliber, and I would argue that it is THE most versatile rifle round in existence when it comes to variety of commercially made ammo (unless you hand load and can make your own) and the options are almost endless, I am loving my new girl 😊

I have two TTIs the second I got from someone who got pissed and sold it for 700 because they had a ftrtb.. I used the same ammo I used in mine and never had an issue with it.. on either one.. never went below 124g and I don’t use shit ammo.. that’s it.. both run really well. I am trading the second one for a shadow systems but there’s nothing wrong with it.. so idk what the issues are so I can’t really comment on them

You can see when the malfunction gap it failing to go back into battery. You might be riding the slide. You to have some big hands man. I really believe it’s the way you’re holding it. Next time try holding it and see if you can make sure your hands sits below the slide or off and see if it still happens. It don’t take much of a hit at all to make her slow down enough

Isn’t it based off the mete not the rival. Either way my has been a work horse as well. Self inflicted problems when we did find any.

Biggg Thanks for The Video, Input and Test Drive of This Gun. As I Am a Big Fan of The Caniks Pistol but They Were Illegal in California til Recently. And I Have a Question. Is it Possibly The Ammo That You are Putting Thru The Gun as I Know That I Have Had Issues w/ Some of My Firearms w/ The Ammo and Not The Actual Firearm as Some Firearms are Just Straight Finicky w/ The Types of Ammo That We Put Thru Them. 🤔

U should not have to all my caniks had a few issues until i ran multiple rounds in itonce i got to about 250 it cylced out the kinks

I seen the slide slightly move forward when the malfunctions happened, there for if was just a tad out of battery and shouldnt fire.. Change the spring brother..

This has nothing to do with the striker in any shape, form, or fashion! It’s clearly outta battery. I’d lay money on it being the WRONG recoil spring. That being said it could also be combined with the ammo you’re using! Then at the end when you tapped the slide forward, it fires! Ding ding! 💡 That being said …. Someone needs to show “ALLEN” how to properly grip a pistol too! 😑

READ THE MANUAL! ALL CANIKS SAY USE 124 GR Since switching from 115 to 124 not a single issue.

I about drove myself mad. Please check the slide release spring. Make sure it’s all the way in place. Mine wasn’t. I started having a few problems but then my son noticed the release being loose. Too loose. Checked it for sure it was the little spring was popped out of place a little, not holding tension on the release causing it to catch the slide. Push it back down in place in the back of the spring. No more FTRTB

Had issues akin to this. Sent off once. Sent back after 18 uneventful test rounds. They issued a spring. 290more rounds with up and down performance and asked for replacement. They sent me a new one. Now have 1300 rounds thru it and consider this a first-run issuance problem.

Have no had one malfunction with mine.
