I just worry Eustace will walk in the summer if he isn't backed and I don't blame him personally I'm no accountant however as Gestede and Waggot have said the money we made in sales isn't given to us as a lump sum and I get that. However surely as an example we know in July 25 we will be getting a total of say £4 million just as an example. So surely what's stopping owners or whoever from saying here take £4m as we are due installments off criysla palace and Ipswich in July which is guaranteed.? I find it bizzare for last few seasons how other clubs smaller than us manage to find free transfers etc and we always struggle I said a few months back there were rumours about Gestede being unhappy and I still think that's the case and he may walk in summer. Our track record of boardroom level staff retention is very poor Also if we don't end up singing a striker we Brought that young French lad who plays for our u21,,why not give him a go????

Pears has had a brilliant season in my opinion. A few questionable actions shouldn't get the fanbase on his case. For me Pears has done so much for us as a team this Season he's made up for all of last Season for me!

A double whammy for me as I was called up by the Oxford United ticket office on Friday to be told they'd done a cross-reference with Rovers ticket office and they'd determined I was a Blackburn fan and so had my ticket revoked and my Oxford United account barred. Like Mike, I'm not from Lancashire, born and raised in Oxford and like most kids growing in the 90s had a "Premiership team" and my local team (Oxford) thinking that never the twain should meet. I've written them an e-mail explaining the situation, that I've seen Oxford at both the old Manor Ground and the Kassam far more than I've seen Rovers at Ewood on the road (due to my geography mainly) and that the last tickets I bought to see Rovers was Sheffield Wednesday away over a year ago (which was a birthday present for my Wednesday supporting mate). There was a lot of trouble on Boxing day after a Cardiff fan managed to get in the home end so I think it's a new thing they are doing because of that incident, which I understand, but as I explained to them most people in Oxford have a second team (usually a Man Utd, Arsenal, Spurs or Liverpool) so if any of them come down (or Oxford get into the Prem) they will find themselves having to ban hundreds of fans for the same reason as tons of them will show up buying tickets on their databases, that is for sure! Looks like I dodged a bullet in the end I suppose (though glad Oxford are looking good to stay up, which I obviously hope they do) N.B I did try to get a ticket in the Away end as well but they were all sold out

I always remember an interview on RoversTV with John Buckley, I think it was during his decent season under Mowbray playing a bit further forward, and he was asked something along the lines of “are you targeting more goals and assists?” And he just wasn’t bothered at all! I always think the top players in his position are greedy (in a good way), always looking to pull the trigger when it opens up for them, busting a gut to get forward and make a difference. So the fact he wasnt pushing himself back then to do that, it looked like he was just happy to stay in his comfort zone. I always thought he had A. Wharton’s ability to turn on the ball and wiggle out of the opponents press, but he doesn’t do that enough anymore. Definitely feels like a case of lost potential with Bucko… at one point, I thought he was gonna be our next big asset too… after he finished that last Mowbray season with that rocket at Birmingham! Shame!

For the 150 year, all our strips should be halved in recognition of the way in which our club has had world-wide fame and led to other famous teams also playing in halved shirts. The red and black is an obvious one we could use, but there are other established examples globally - or we could come up with a unique one - like pink & grey.

Great analysis on Leonard, I 100% agree. He is still a baby in football terms. Hopefully, he can have an injury free run in the team and build his confidence and an identity within the squad. As ever in my opinion, some fans are far too quick to criticise or go over the top in their criticism of a player; he clearly has ability and just needs patience & time. Although I recognise that we need goals now. I would make similar observations in that respect over Gueye. He is a difficult player to defend against and that makes him a real asset only a few months into his career here.

Some rovers fans won't ever be happy and will moan. We could sign prime MSN, and you would still find fans complaining. Leonard has struggled with scoring, but what he does do is his reading for the game at Striker are nearly perfect, which is something we have lacked since prime dack. Without graham, dack wouldn't have been what he was and gueye has shown that ability to be a graham type striker who will bring others into play (burnley, sunderland and leeds away)

Just a basic simple idea from when i've watched MLS and NFL games in the US that could be a good suggestion for the 150th year. Every home game Seattle Sounders have a former player 'raise the scarf' pre-game. Seattle Seahawks have a former player 'raise the 12th man flag'. For every Rovers home game that year why not invite a former player/manager who have featured somewhere in that 150 years and introduce them to the crowd and wave the flag, raise their 150th year scarves (which the club could sell). They do something similar now occasionally but it would be great to see this every game plus a bit in the programme, the club could record videos online etc.

Buckley lost his way when wharton come through He was a star before then Really think he needs a run of games and a arm around his shoulder. There is a baller in there. Same as jrc under jdt he was the best rightback in the division.

Gueye has been in England for 5 months, what is everyone expecting from him so soon? Completely different scale but David Silva was really poor in his first season in England and didn’t look like he could cut it, Gueye does well. Started the game really well against Derby No point away at Burnley without Gueye Don’t win at sheff wed without Gueye We don’t get up the pitch to get an equaliser against Sunderland without Gueye He bullied Luton’s back line We don’t equalise at Leeds without Gueye He has also done many other good things, but don’t get noticed because he doesn’t have 16 goals already.

Buckley not good enough

Pretty perfect game in my eyes. Yes the quality wasn't great but we came out with several positives. Toth got minutes, clean sheet and we got to see what he's like with the defence. A few of the players outside the usual XI got minutes in their legs and did well. No injuries. Youngsters got experience. We won and now we get to play a Prem club to test ourselves further. The only negative really was the way the game was for the neutral.

Totally with you on the Leonard point, lad needs time & a run of games after a long time out injured. Like JE said, he's getting in the positions & should've had a pen, so let's give him patience not pelters.

Leonard has missed way too many chances, Matt D was a much better finisher.. Leonard has a lot to do and time is ticking.. games like this he needs to make count

What you lads are suffering now is what we suffered previously. You used to be miles better than us, now we’re miles better than you. It’s cyclical and won’t go on for ever. I’m glad you mentioned shirt pulling. Everyone’s at it and it drives me mad! On dosh, there is a difference that can’t be denied. Yours came from huge investment by Jack whilst ours has been earnt through our own success on the pitch, luckily at a time when there is more money in the game than ever before and largely thanks to the master stroke appointment of Sean Dyche. We’ll be back at Ewood next season.

Like Mike, being in Southampton means I can instantly escape and no one talks to me about Rovers. They're too busy moaning about Saints! I went to the 5-0 loss to Brentford after the Burnley game and I'll tell you what, Rovers would have won that game easily....may have even scored 2! 😂

I think eustace set the team up very well . Our team cost probably a total of £6-7 million and there's cost at a minimum 10 times more so even though we lost it wasn't a terrible defeat I think the Fleming lad cost £10 million which is more than our entire team cost !!! I do worry now as eustcace stock has grown and our club has a terrible reputation in backing managers in the window be it no money or making silly admin errors. I do hope I am proven wrong in that we do sign 3 or 4 players this window. However my worry is does anyone currently at the club have solid knowledge in completing player transfers ? With Park leaving us there is a gap of someone experience to overseas transfers . Rudy gestede fingers crossed has learnt of Park the last window i hope . I hate to say it , but morale will go down if we don't sign anyone and eustce will leave we will be back to square one

Should be looking at Ross Stewart, the Loch Ness Drogba, injuries have hamperred him at Southampton, he doesn't really play at all, needs wrapping up in cotton wool but he's the exact profile we need if a fair price can be agreed

The challenge by Leeds player on Ohashi was criminal, Ohashi was on the byline and he lunged in on him, it was then ironic to see the lad go off injured himself. I am hoping that the injury to Ohashi might turn out to be beneficial later in the season, he will get a rest now and hopefully he will get back up to speed quick and perform to a higher level for the remainder of the season. If we can stay in touch of the playoffs until the key players get back and make a 2 or 3 good signings I think we can make the playoffs.
