I've never seen this it looks so relaxing and fun thanks for sharing❤❤❤
do you have a DIY video for that rattle? My inherited loom didn't come with one.
@@CelesteDouville the Raddle is a Ashford brand. Though that’s not to say you can’t make one yourself. Though to be honest I rarely use it
Thank you
How do you create the colour plans please?
@@user-vf7dn8tp3j you can just go to google search and type In colour palette and look in images there you find lots of them or search for a actual colour palette you can find lots in pinintrest too
What brand are your combs please?

Hi Jo, missed the live chat. Watching the replay now 😊
@@anndiels-creavelina9597 I hope you enjoy
Sorry I missed you, for some reason I didn’t get an alert to tell me you were on. I’ll have to put an alarm on my phone! 😊
@@carolharper268 that’s ok Carol plenty news and natter to catch up on. If you hit the bell on subscribe it is supposed to alert you but I don’t think it works for live chats
@@chattyjo1 the bell has been tapped and tapped again for alerts so don’t know. I didn’t realise you do one on instagram on Saturday too, what time?
@@carolharper268 I do instagram every Saturday generally unless I pop away for a day out though rare and at 12.30pm 🧚♂️
@@chattyjo1 another day to put on my then. Thank you ☺️
beautiful love how you mde that look so easy . I know it`s not but I am inspired to try. thank you. sue
It easy going once you have blend a few thousand of them lol just trust your eye and a bit of out the box colour thinking
Looking good, Jo 😊. Will use my inkle loom more in the future as I am watching your lives on this topic 😊
It’s one of those fibre crafts that once you have warped up there is no more thinking just weave till there is no more to weave. And you can watch tv listen to a audio book or sit out on the garden
That's charts is great did you scan it 😅
Yes I emailed it off to my customer
Do you have a detailed video on making the board with a list of supplies you can share? Please and thank you 😊
No I don’t but the base chopping board it was from IKEA £10 and the cloth was from Wingham Wool it was £48 then I used a adhesive spray to stabilise the carding cloth and staples
@chattyjo1 thank you so much 💗 take care have an amazing rest of your day 😘 😊
Wee batts look lovely.
My spindles arrived today! They are wonderful, just what I expected and more. Thank you so much, I’ve emailed you through your website too. ❤
Replied to your email. I thought you might need a spare if you get carried away and want to spin another colour xx
Yes the Patreon scheme with Jo is great value for money if you can do it...❤...I always seem to have a Jo video to watch live or catch up on, and its a fun and friendly bunch of regulars ...Jo works hard for Patreon to be fair, and it does feel like an interactive experience ❤🎉
Thank you so much for saying so Liz I really appreciate that feedback x
I like that idea of the batts Thanks Jo 😊
Loving those colours. 😊
Thank you they are for a Knitwear designer trialing another pattern we are collaborating on for September. But I will be adding some gradient sets this weekend to the website
I love the idea of gradually changing the colours, especially for a knitting a shawl or scarf. ❤
Definitely easier to work with compared to a large gradient art batt 🧚♂️
Darn it I missed you again. Have to get to the garden before the heat sets in and get involved in all the necessary garden stuff and I forgot. We have a wee bunny trapped in the inner fence we tried to get out. Darn thing went to ground and we can’t find him now. I will definitely set a reminder for 2 weeks time so I don’t miss you again. Have to mention again how wonderful the colors are on the tour de fleece handyed roving. So darn beautiful!!!
I just let my pet bunnies out in the yard they eat all my flowers wee beggars. And thank you I hope you enjoy working with my Tour de fleece
I missed you! Sorry, I’m waiting for my tunisian spindle, can’t wait! ❤
It’s packed up and waiting on the postman to collect. I do live chats every other Wednesday at 12.30☺️
@@chattyjo1oh ok, I’ll have to put a reminder in my diary ❤ looking forward to using it, I’ve got some silk to spin so it should be the right weight, thank you 😊
Hi Jo.
You just missed the live Mary x but I am here
When I start my inkle weaving I put a straight piece of card along the bottom to push my weft onto. Try it and it makes starting easier.
Yes I have seen that method . But as my inklett loom was the first one I bought I learnt to start off without using them as I never owned any reference books to learn back then. Only learning from the limited videos on the topic 7 years ago before that I used tablet cards and heddles that aren’t demonstrated with the warping strips like you would on a larger weaving loom. But I shall add them when I warp the inkle for video part 3 so if anyone is struggling with the first wefts then that may help them thank you for mentioning that Carol 🧚♂️
@@chattyjo1 hi Jo, that’s great thank you. I’ve done lot of inkle, pick up etc, weaving and I’ve got the cards to start card weaving but my confidence isn’t what it was and I struggle to make a start with the cards. I’ve read about it and understand most of it but I’m don’t know, starting is an issue. So a video starting from the basics and more videos on how to progress would be fantastic. I love your videos as I have a chronic health condition and when I can’t craft I love to watch others, it inspires me to carry on. You’ve got a lovely personality and it shines through.
@@carolharper268 I have fibromyalgia back/arms/chest afflicting areas so totally empathise in the need for learning when in able to craft at times. My business helps me deal with it through being active. I will get to the tablet cards in a few months. Yes it can be a little struggling getting to grips with them I started doing that before I even had a inkle weaving the traditional way aka tie end to my belt and other to a radiator lol 😂
@@chattyjo1 I was diagnosed with fibromyalgia 11 years ago and been for all sorts of treatment. Until my heart and gut became involved, they decided I’d been misdiagnosed and I’ve got dysautonomia and I’m now going to the UCLH Neurology department for more tests. If you get any new symptoms don’t just put it down to fibromyalgia as I did, get yourself checked out. Xx
Thanks Jo.
Thank you so much for the comment. Was being to think this theme wasn’t a good fit to film for my channel x
I can't wait until you use cards for card weaving. I have not done that yet.
You must have sold all your Turkish spindles, do you know when you’re going to have them in stock?
Printing off some new ones this week Carol. Are you looking for 10g or 30g spindles? I haven’t done product pics yet but have some of both in different colours ready
I lost you! I don’t know what happened but for some reason I lost your video and I’ve been looking for you through history, online and today, success! I’m going to have a look on your shop now for a spindle etc. So glad I found you again x
Oooh hit that notification bell Carol and you’ll never loose me again. Though Mr Phil would happily loose me somedays lol 😂
Is there a pattern for your jumper? Love the colors of your wool.
My jumper no unfortunately it’s just a gardening jumper from a supermarket I got if a bargain rail for £4 about 6 years ago it’s my go too scruffy when there is a chill when I have been working out in the yard I do love the colour though
I missed the live but catching it now
I forgot to put up a social media post reminding everyone I was about but it’s half term so wasn’t sure if I should do a live chat lol x there will be two new videos next week though
Darn darn darn I missed the live. Got out early to the garden to beat the heat and forgot it was Wednesday. Being retired every day just ends with y so time gets lost. Not a team player so will be spinning up your tour batts up by myself. No goals just trying to spin every day.
I am a team player but I do prefer my own schedule some can’t keep up lol 😂
Hello, manage to catch this …
I hope you enjoyed it though shorter than my usual hour. But when you you have a lot to get through it always goes quickly x
Hello Jo. Nice jumper 😊. Peg loom would be good. I made a rug with washed fleece a few years back on a home made peg loom but I forgot how to do it now. I could use my yarn I made when I was learning to spin. Also at some point rigid heddle. I have a 32 inch ashford knitters loom but i gave up I don’t think we set it up right. Cruddy instructions. It seems really stiff and catches. It’s in the shed in disgrace.
My jumper was £4 from a Asda winter sale about 6 years ago it’s my go to throw on x
Sorry missed your live
Thank ok I forgot to mention on social media this morning but I had to pop out on a mission for pain killers four days trapped nerve is enough for even me and get some silly stuff for a grand daughter emergency treat parcel xx
Love watching this kind of craft.
Ooh this is a old live lol I generally do them every fortnight there is a new live chat to watch from today
@@chattyjo1 will have to try and catch it. ….cheers.
Do you prefer the Louet board to the Ashford?
I have never used or owned anything from the Ashford range, before I got this board I used a homemade blending board that I started my business with from a ikea chopping board and carding cloth stapled to it and I still prefer my home made blending board
I think you’ve done it the wrong way round ,(my heddles are on the opposite shed)
It comes with no setting up instructions Deborah on my inklet loom the heddles sit in lower and where I originally did these but for some reason this design doesn’t work that way I have emailed Dsles looms to ask what’s to do as he doesn’t even have a set up image on this model on his website and the other designs all vary in set up
Hope you get it sorted
Good morning. I've never learned to work with the inkle loom. Ill enjoy learning from your video. Thank you
This style is new to me so it’s a bit of trial and error with it especially as the maker doesn’t provide set up instructions for the heddle peg. But I got it warped up and already woven half of it up
Missed your live chat but am watching it now 🙂
I hope you enjoy this one looking forward to this collaboration release next week x
The linen /hemp would be nice and rustic 😊
You could also just dye the stripe colours and we could use natural fibre for main eg.. Manx Laughton ( spelling 😂) or shetland
Well yeah you could blend the rovings when they arrive to get more yarn. But they are designed and spun up with a 4ply yarn but I know some prefer a thicker dk or struggle to get that 4ply as handspun even I do
@@chattyjo1 no, I was meaning the main colour could just be a natural undyed breed. I didn’t mean blending it
@@Hielancoo right as in the stripped version yeah with you now lovely
Or moss heather gorse
Grey heather gorse. Yum
Ooh good sounds like I may be onto a winner
I need pictures, I would never manage to fit that together
The only issue I had was finding the right nut for that big bolt. Really easy to put together just watch my video or alternatively just buy my ink let loom off me instead 😂
I watched Eloise she is brill. I nearly bought an inkle loom but then I thought oh dear I have no time to do it 😂
I love just watching her so easy to learn from has a relaxed way about herself
Hello Jo! Just finished work. ❤
That’s alright you have a lunchtime live chat to catch up on too 🤪
Just discovered you on RUclips, omg I am obsessed with you and your batts!!! Hope you have a great show in Edinburgh!
It was a pleasurable experience and a tiring two days and nice to be back in my childhood City though I didn’t get to see much of it this time 😉 thank you for subscribing
I bought a classic carder to make some mixed/blended batts for my needle felting. Is it okay to use carded slivers in with a mix with merino tops etc. Finding your videos very helpful and love the fact you don't faff about
Yes you can mix them together you just need to keep in mind that carded slivers have a different staple length to a wool top/roving but with needle felting it should make much of a difference enjoy your carder exciting times for you ooh bamboo doesn’t felt as a fibre but if it’s blended in wool if you blend it without realising the wool will help trap it in place
❤ why people being rude and abusive to you?
It’s just trolls seeing live chats and coming in the chat to be pathetic and throw insults at me I don’t know why.
Hi Jo. Missed your live yesterday. hope you are well. Take care , Ann from Belgium 😊
Hi Ann Yeah hectic but staying sane 🤭 hope your well
@@chattyjo1 I am good, thank you. Good luck with the fair, wish I lived more close, I would come and see you there, 😁
