I can't wait until you use cards for card weaving. I have not done that yet.

When I start my inkle weaving I put a straight piece of card along the bottom to push my weft onto. Try it and it makes starting easier.

Yes I have seen that method . But as my inklett loom was the first one I bought I learnt to start off without using them as I never owned any reference books to learn back then. Only learning from the limited videos on the topic 7 years ago before that I used tablet cards and heddles that aren’t demonstrated with the warping strips like you would on a larger weaving loom. But I shall add them when I warp the inkle for video part 3 so if anyone is struggling with the first wefts then that may help them thank you for mentioning that Carol 🧚‍♂️

@@chattyjo1 hi Jo, that’s great thank you. I’ve done lot of inkle, pick up etc, weaving and I’ve got the cards to start card weaving but my confidence isn’t what it was and I struggle to make a start with the cards. I’ve read about it and understand most of it but I’m don’t know, starting is an issue. So a video starting from the basics and more videos on how to progress would be fantastic. I love your videos as I have a chronic health condition and when I can’t craft I love to watch others, it inspires me to carry on. You’ve got a lovely personality and it shines through.

@@carolharper268 I have fibromyalgia back/arms/chest afflicting areas so totally empathise in the need for learning when in able to craft at times. My business helps me deal with it through being active. I will get to the tablet cards in a few months. Yes it can be a little struggling getting to grips with them I started doing that before I even had a inkle weaving the traditional way aka tie end to my belt and other to a radiator lol 😂

@@chattyjo1 I was diagnosed with fibromyalgia 11 years ago and been for all sorts of treatment. Until my heart and gut became involved, they decided I’d been misdiagnosed and I’ve got dysautonomia and I’m now going to the UCLH Neurology department for more tests. If you get any new symptoms don’t just put it down to fibromyalgia as I did, get yourself checked out. Xx
