    Nice video, thanks for putting it up. Upgrade those servos! HH servos suck and trust me when your bird smashes into the planet because a servo fails it wrecks you. And it's about 150 for TORQ servo upgrades and flash the FBL firmware to the non limited version and it's a solid heli! It is nice that just a pinion allows 4s on the stock ESC. And 6s is possible with an ESC upgrade. Just a great platform for the money. I love/hate HH. :D

      I've heard the 3055 servos are garbage as well. I just bought a used 360 Fusion. I haven't flown it yet, but that's my plan, is to change out the 3055's. The 3050 servos they used to have in them I heard were good. I don't know why they decided to put the 3055's in later versions. I'm not going with Torq's though. I love Torq's, but I've heard the KST MS215MG's work great in them. They don't cost as much as the Torq's and do a fine job, or so I've seen on other videos of people with their Fusion 360's.

    This video was really excellent, i'll chime in with another thank you! You recommend keeping the balance setting at "normal" instead of "fast" - one of the big reasons I picked up this particular charger was the 2A rated balance rate which is faster than most other chargers and hard to come by. If it isn't too much trouble would you mind explaining your preference for the normal balance setting a bit more?

    • @InfiniteEscapeRC
      @InfiniteEscapeRC 6 месяцев назад

      Thanks! Its not that big of a deal. I said normal just to be safer with the settings. This will allow the charger to take more time balancing. I would use normal if its an expensive battery, and fast balance for a cheap battery. The explanation is on page 17 in the PDF manual. They don't go into that much detail of the balance pre-sets.

    I can't pick between Blade 150s and Fusion 180, i like them both. But 150 looks like a good deal for crash resistance, while 180 got bigger size and should fly better, but then it is more vulnerable to crashes i guess. • @InfiniteEscapeRC
      @InfiniteEscapeRC 6 месяцев назад

      The Fusion 180 has much better tail authority, but also has more to break. I would personally look at the OMP M2 or the Goosky Legend S2. I think they are both better than both the Blade helicopters. They fly great and are easy to fix.

    • @InfiniteEscapeRC
      @InfiniteEscapeRC 6 месяцев назад

      I crashed it many times with no damage. As far as the main shaft it generally does not bend or break if you can hit throttle hold before it hits the ground. Most of my damage happened in the winter when the ground was hard and the grass was thin. Thick grass helps a lot.

    Great video! I think off-road minis are worth having for particular circumstances. Like you, I use mine out in the street. Like when the fields are too wet and I don't want to do a major clean-up on one of my larger RCs. Yeah they really are too small for natural environments, but they can handle the irregularities that exist in the neighborhood streets like seams, cracks, rough or worn-out asphalt, covers, etc. I've had a few different mini's but I do prefer the 1/14 size with aluminum chassis and 4WD. My Mini-8ight won me over to that configuration, which I have since retired for display and replaced with the LC Racing EMB-1. Actually I'm not having the heat issues I was having with my Mini-8ight. The stock Mini-8ight electronics weren't great, and the 1/18 scale Castle electronics weren't up to the task either. I burned up Castles Micro-pro ESC running their small 0808 motor...it was probably pulling too many amps through that ESC due to the weight of the car and let out the magic smoke. The RTR electronics in the EMB-1 are properly sized. I agree that most of the small plastic minis can have issues jumping, but I thought the Mini-8ight and EMB-1 do just fine in the air, and is one of the reasons why I like those particular buggies so much...they really give you that 1/8 scale buggy feel in a smaller package...now this is using smooth plastic or wooden ramps, not natural or dirt jumps which may have enough imperfections in the surface to disrupt the launch.

      Yea they are so much easier to clean as well. I missed that point in the video. My overheating issues all happened in the grass. At this point I think 1/14 scale is the smallest i'm willing to go. I may check out that LC Racing EMB-1 model now that you had a good experience with it. Thanks for the comment.

    I posted a response to this over at the rctech website. For weeks now it's been impossible for me to access that site correctly. If you see my post over there perhaps you could let me know that it got through. Thanks

    Nice looking heli, might have to get one,when you talked about 3s 4s 6s,are you talking about the battery,and what would the biggest battery be for this model

      Yes, S refers to battery cells. I have heard you can go to 4S or one extra cell with the stock electronics. But to go to 6S you need a different ESC to handle the higher current.

    I’m using this for 2S LiPo RC 1/10 racing. Cycle (discharge first then charge) is the preferred method for optimum performance. Some are discharging at 30 to 40 amps and charging at 30 to 40 amps. Can you do a video on setting up Cycling with external discharge resistor banks? Would love to hear your comments on ideal charge/discharge amp rates on 4400mah, 6000mah, and 10,000mah 2S batteries…

      Sounds like on-road touring cars. I may make a video like that in the future, but currently I do not have a resistor bank to handle that level of discharging. But I will see what I can do.
