So, I haven't seen anyone else comment this, and I know I'm three years late, but right at the end is a quote from Harry Potter where Dumbledore says "Happiness can be found even in the darkest of times, if one only remembers to turn on the light." The whole theme of this album was to recognize how dark and lonely mental health problems like anxiety, depression, PTSD, etc can be, and to help "turn a light on" in the darkness for those who battle those feelings. Turn the Light On came into my life when I needed it the most when I was really going through the ringer last year, so this album holds a special place in my heart.

They made 2 prequels to this song years later, explaining how the « witch » got in this situation. « Confess » and « Weakness and Lust » are well worth a listen

Tuomas Holopainen is the keyboards player and he writes the vast majority of their lyrics and music for the band. Troy was the man playing the large mandolin ( the name escapes me ) and he is using an Elbow to create the beautiful sound. Such a sweet reaction to this song!
