Hi I started at Dolberdarn Castle on the A4086 and drove towards Pen-Y-Pass , past the Pyg Track car park (Pen-y-Pass Warden centre) and took a right hand turn at the junction a few miles past the Warden Centre. 👍 you can’t go wrong around those parts it’s all brilliant to see.

It’s an Abflug splitter i bought it from www.rhdjapan.com ,they have a good selection of parts but as they are based in Japan I had to pay high postage costs and import duty (applied once it lands in the UK) 👍

My drive out to the alps was around 14hrs then I spent a number of days driving across the alps and another 14+ hour drive home this was spread over a number of weeks …. not with this setup unless you can find a way to move the camera left and right of the car while moving. it sounds like you are looking for something like a spinning head cam for the car which would make an awesome shot, there is nothing out there available as a retail option at the moment but I feel like you could probably create a boom that sticks to the roof of the car and allows the camera to swing all the way around the car, the difficult bit would be controlling where the camera swings to while you are driving.

😆 Hi 👋 BMW didn’t offer the F80/2 from new with a tow bar due to the exhaust back box using the space that the tow bar would use. The only rear hitch option is aftermarket and the ones I have seen cut a small noticeable section out of the rear bumper and leave a permanent hitch that’s visible so I wasn’t keen on that. There was a BMW factory option for some BMWs and MINIs to have “bike mount prep” installed, where a bike mount could be mounted to two hidden bumper mounts but I don’t think this was available on the F80 (if it was mine doesn’t have that option) There are other options like a roof mount or suction cups but this way suits my needs really well.

👍 I agree I’m trying to figure out how to fix that , it’s turned down to the lowest setting on RUclips and sounds perfect before I upload it so I think I need to record the sound with a microphone with adjustable gain instead of the lav mic I used in this video or add the music on my computer instead of adding the music after I have uploaded the video , not sure still learning atm

Hi there are two reasons why I stopped using the insta 360 suction mount for holding the camera on the outside of my car , 1. With the camera mounted to the extended selfie stick the weight of the camera creates enough leverage to drag the camera down to the floor while driving over mild bumps or around corners. this happens because the insta suction mount connects to the selfie stick with a connector that moves and cannot be tightened enough to hold the camera in position on the extended selfie stick. 2. Even if I found a way to hold the extended selfie stick in place while using the insta 360 suction mount I found myself wondering if the suction mount might come off of the car over bumps or if I had installed it to a clean enough section of the car (the instructions say don’t use the insta suction mount on a bumpy road!) the Delkin Triple mount gives me peace of mind as all 3 suction mounts are individually stronger than the insta suction mount. You still have the same leverage problem where the camera will drop towards the floor due to the weight of the camera being right at the end of the selfie stick , but the Delkin Triple mounts connectors are more robust and have a maximum range of movement so I manipulate the end of the movement range to hold my selfie stick in the desired position.

Good idea I will try it next time I put my bike in the car , I recently had a 218i GC as a loan car and my bike went in rear wheel first so maybe it will work on my 3 series if I give it another go

@@_jenks_ that's fair, I've got a VW UP which is TINY and I'm able to fit a 29" with the front wheel off, notably it is a tight squeeze but with the handles facing upwards and a brake insert there's minimal risk, with additional padding

Yes that’s right 👍 it’s a 360 camera mounted on the car with a triple suction mount and a selfie stick that is edited out automatically by the camera, it works really well.

The new 2023 BMW M3 Touring is a hatch, but I agree, hatchs add some weight but they are much more versatile

6 GC is a big model so as a guess you should be ok to get your bike in the boot , I think to get two bikes in you might need to take the pedals off but that’s not too much hassle if you need to make them fit

Thanks I'm working on a video that shows the colour in its best light but photos and videos don't really do it justice, I think its the best colour in person.

Hi yes it fits surprisingly well, it was important to me to have some space around the bike when its inside the car to avoid damaging the interior so that's useful to see in this video 👍 if you take the pedals off / have the bike in a bike bag you should be able to get two in, I think the M3 (F80) has Split seats as standard but I think it is an option on the same non M 3 series (F30) in the uk.

I Cycled (walked with my bike) up the Llanberis path, its a mild enough incline to walk up without needing to stop or carry your bike unlike some of the other routes up where a bike would make the journey up quite dangerous.
