Picked up for $7 on steam summer sale and am 4 hours into it. Incredible.

This video has the most well informed history of skill based matchmaking I watched, I was that guy once or better yet kid, going 50kills 1death in a match. I don't mind sbmm at all, especially in ranked matches, but honestly it feels like games have "performance index" systems not sbmm.

One thing that always confuses me about the anti-sbmm crowd is the parts of it they complain about, especially from the cod community. They complain about how they have to go against way better players when without SBMM, the problem will get way worse than theirs ever was and for more people. A bad player doesn't need to go against shroud to be stomped, they'll get that experience from really anyone even remotely good at the game. This also ties into what you said at the end, the upper middle class of players (most streamers) get the worst matchmaking experience because they will get players significantly better than them more often than any other bracket, but the solution definitely isn't to ruin everyone else's experience just to have a little better one themselves.

Reason why I hate sbmm is when I'm playing "RANKED" I expect my team to be just as competent as I am, but instead I be a gold 3 on rainbow six siege teamed up with a copper 4, like wtf is this shit?

Putting players that are "MY SKILL LEVEL" is perfectly fine, especially in ranked, but here's the thing, it's clearly not doing that. How can I be going 10 kills 1 death but other 4 teammates are going 1 kill 10 deaths Meanwhile enemy team is balanced at 5 kills 5 deaths each. This happens on ranked fyi

here is my opinion: we do not want sbmm to be removed to "destroy noobs to feel better about ourselves", we are trying to have fun. When you get good enough to not be considered a dogshit player, you end up being put in really sweaty lobbies that you cannot have fun in. It always feels stressful and frustrating. Without sbmm, you can be matched up with anyone and if you are good, you are good, if you are bad, you are bad. You also cannot see if you are getting better at the game or not because when you get better your game gets harder. Also playing with friends that are not on the EXACT SAME skill level as you is a nightmare. If you are worse than your friend, you will be in lobbies you cant stand a chance in. If you are better than your friend, you are going to have to carry which is hard since everybody is the same skill level as you except they have a full team while you guys have to 1.2 v 2 because your friend is worse. The games are no longer fun.

All these cod streamers are such little whiny bitvhes seriously. They all just think they have the right to crap on people who haven’t played the game as much and can’t stand someone pulling the same thing on them. I just want to see them shut up and accept that they are not Jesus Christ the chosen cod player who should win most of the time and always go 30-5 because your asscrack hair is golden ore. All these mofos are the sweaty basement dweller even thought that act like it’s some more extreme person out there it’s these guys I mean check their play and stream time and realize all the top creators are the basement whiners that we hate

I respectfully disagree. If you played the older Call of Duty titles and quite because there was a guy on the other team doing better than everyone else then you are just a sensitive baby, a product of the tale end of Gen Z.. there’s no way around it. The rest of us continued to play and got better over time so we could be like that guy that used to kill us continually and we earned that positive K/D, #1 in the lobby, or nuke.

Oh boy, I just bought the game, am waiting for it to download now, but I’m so excited!! It looks right up my alley in play style! Plus, I recently lost my older brother to drug addiction, and I feel like this game will help me through the grieving process.

I got it on switch today, way more than 5 bucks sadly and i like it but visual overload can be an issue once cards start piling up. i feel like im scrambling for stuff

So how does one explain a 7 to 10 lose streak in CoDM ranked MP matches? Where you get opponents who just takes a quick peek and you're dead, in straight 7 to 10 matches. Where's the 50-50 chance there in each matchmaking? Where's the "skill" matching in there? That's like 5-95 ratio Also, how does one explain where your exp would only need just a little tiny bit of exp to win to rank up, but you're gonna be matched with players who don't sleep anymore guaranteeing you'll lose the match?

This side quest is one of the highlights in the game for me, the premise is so simple yet it manages to show (and tell) you how distressing the situation is for her in such detail

Great video! I love this game, specially because in my case I feel like the true story is doing the 100%, while speedrunning, once I tried the Hard Mode 2 Islands speedrun and it was a total disaster, just today I rewatched it and it was so nostalgic, because I wanted to go fast I had to take a lot of risks and thinking in the best solution I could, giving some examples of what happened, Ralph (It was a clean file because I lost my previous data :c) died because I forgot to order him to attack, in that same mission other pilot died, but, it was only the second mission, in that moment I felt like I really was in the war, seeing how my pilots die because of my lack of experience (This run was months after I stopped playing the game) and having to think really fast, like, there was no time to lose, I think I got Henry from a perfect island (2 pilots died and I lost a lot of power grid but I got a new pilot YEP), and I continued to RST, in one moment I was at 1 of power grid, I stopped trying to gain more reputation and thankfully I was able to full the power grid when finishing this island, I was aware there was no way I could complete the other 2 islands, so I decided to go for the final mission, it was so intense at least for me, and I think it got the best ending I could have wanted (In a strange way), the AI pilot died in mid battle of the second phase, and Henry and the other pilot, died in the last turn because I was so nervous that I didn't stop to think if their sacrifices were neccesary, but I think thanks to this run I was able to start realizing something. You can't save everyone, specially in a context of war, sacrifices will probably be required, and this sligthly connects to my experience with Fire Emblem Three Houses and one of it's endings, but I don't want to give spoilers in a random comment of youtube, maybe someday I do something like an essay explaining everything that I have to say about Into the Breach (Just kidding, I'm too lazy for essays lmao) Thanks for reading, and again, great video! :3 (Maybe there are mistakes in my writing, english is not my main language, sorry if something is not clear)

I finished this game awhile back and a lot of my thoughts line up with this review. It's odd how you can seriously just ignore your passengers food needs and have a much smoother experience for it because them being unhappy from hunger barely matters in-game at all.
