Caregiving Network
США
Добавлен 22 июн 2020
Caregiving Network is an entirely free service that enables prompt, personal connections between caregivers. Our mission is to provide personal connections that are anonymous and private.
Caregiving Network is not a social network, but rather a safe and secure connector, enabling caregivers to obtain the information and support they need. A Kaiser Permanente Peer Support Study showed participants who received peer support had increased trust in services and team collaboration. Personal connections are the most effective way to get information from experienced individuals to others less experienced.
Additionally, Caregiving Network works to produce direct access to the many valuable non-profit national and local resources that assist caregivers in creating a sharing ecosystem for caregivers to locate and receive additional support. Fifty-three million family caregivers have an enormous amount of information to share and support each other.

Supporting Fear over People is NOT a Value

In the first three months of 2022, state lawmakers have proposed a record 238 anti-LGBTQ bills. That's almost six times as many as in all of 2018. There are proposed school library ban on books about sexual or gender identity to legislation prohibiting teachers from publicly discussing or teaching LGBT issues or lifestyles. Much of the legislation aims at Transgender young adults, creating an e...
Being LGBTQ is about biology and it exists throughout nature.

While same-sex relations have been documented across cultures for centuries, many people still consider homosexual behavior to be a choice. It is not an unnatural choice, but may actually play a vital role within populations. Same-sex behavior occurs in nature. Sexual activity, courtship, affection, pair bonding, and parenting among same-sex animal pairs are common. Biologists have documented h...
Going through life with Families of Choice
Просмотров 1342 года назад
Most LGBTQ individuals form families of choice rather than relying on their birth families. This happens for a variety of reasons; it could be estrangement from birth families or simply because they have found more support and acceptance among their chosen families. They live together, celebrate holidays, and age with their partners and friends. Unfortunately, they often find themselves in reti...
Introducing Andy Cramer and his journey as a gay man growing up in the repressive 1950s.

Andy Cramer's story began in the 1950s when he grew up in a time when homosexuality was considered an aberration and illegal in many places. This experience shaped his vision until he moved to San Francisco and found his authentic self. He opened a chain of successful retail stores, was a front-line worker during the AIDS epidemic, mobilized his employees, and visited dying friends until the co...

Al made a surprise announcement that we were married which turned into an unexpected learning experience. The evening was festive and everyone enjoyed getting to know us and hearing our story. Their perceptions were visibly changed It was a memorable evening that e...
Introducing Al Farmer and his journey to self-aware and happy about it.

This video is about Al growing up, going to college, and discovering what the word "gay" meant. It's an intimate look at his journey and how he found his community. LGBTQ people have always been here, but it wasn't until recently that we began to form communities and visibility. Inclusive companies like CDW help make that possible by featuring us during their CDW Pride Month Celebration. We lov...

Caring for our Veterans
Просмотров 723 года назад
The military gives much more than their time to help protect their country. Over twenty-six percent of living veterans have been diagnosed with service connected disability, and ten percent of veterans often return with some form of substance abuse. When they return, unfortunately it is often the case that they don’t have an experienced caregiver and their care often falls to their spouse or fa...

Make culture competence great again
I admired and learn a lot from the video
😨 Please get rid of the loud piano music. It makes it very hard to hear your voice.
What r takeaways in this video
it would be great if the music was not louder than the speaker, for us old folk that is hard of hearing,
in short..... don't be stupid
cultural competence goes beyond showing everyone respect by also respecting our differences in how a person looks, speaks, or views their social aspects. biodiversity is healthy and valuable and no one person is an expert in every other person's experience (however, I would trust any black person to talk about racism in the u.s. far moreso than a random white person, for a dry example). I would also trust a dork to talk more about the dork experience than a self-proclaimed non-dork/jock.😅
Good and educational
As a Muslim woman, i am very concerned at the prospect of having to totally disrobe (not counting the skimpy hospital gown) for an upcoming knee replacement surgery. In Islam, a woman's entire body is considered private. This is the reason we wear long, loose clothing and cover our heads. So, there is no way i would choose to risk having my genital area exposed during a surgery. I plan to talk with my ortho surgeon and his team about allowing me to wear undergarments under my surgical gown. (I could not find a female orthopedic surgeon by the way.) Otherwise, i may have to forgo a much needed surgery until i can find someone willing to accommodate my religious principles.
An amazing lecture
Social competence is so important Pay attention Listen Show interest AFOLABI DORCAS MOROLAKE.
Thanks ❤
What a great story. Appreciate you sharing!
Thank you for your kind words :)
I'm from England and my grandmother has a friend who is French I like hanging out with her because I'm very culturally competent and they find it interesting to hear about the beliefs and languages of other cultures

This so enlightening for White people and has given our race a sense of purpose.
I bet they made my RUclips account private. Not by my or my son's consent I can promise you that. He loves attention. I don't. That should explain it for you. He needs a dad like him that loves people. Maybe he can then leave me alone every now and then. UN: I emailed your incompetent selves again yesterday. Don't even try to argue you posted a false number to tell me my phone has been hijacked on a no connection number. It is a lie. I told you where I am yesterday. All you had to do was email me back, not leave a false number. You job is to defend abuses of power when you hear of them from anywhere, not act. That is dangerous. People could die as you act. It is a bit like those female shelters for domestic abuse. Sometimes it comes down to that. I place to go or stay and die. You have no money and nowhere to go and the shelter is your first and only step to freedom. Because if you stay because you have no money or ID because he took them all to have full power and dominance over you, you may die. But unlike those shelters for battered women - you ignored, cried, acted, posted false information on your website, wrong number, fed me videos on my feed - did everything but acknowledge me. Yeah - excellent, because that is exactly what victims of abuse need. YOU ARE DANGEROUS AND MUST BE INVESTIGATED AND HELD TO ACCOUNT! Not proof read obviously!
Me against the machine. There is video that tells me that often. One single lady dressed in black against the GAINT well financed white machines. I am denied money and eat and sleeping where the machine instructs me, by virtue of absolute abuse of power. Absolutely corrupt.
Think don't Hate.
Here here....
Wild species too. Some frogs change their sex. Intersex change. That does not make them inferior. It makes them natural Our big brain does not make us better than other species. It means we evolved to continue to survive. We lost the toughest survival game so we got smarter, but not better. Being smarter does not make you better. Being moral and connected to the earth we are renting does. Otherwise we are back in the toughest survival game - and we know we don't stand a chance in that world. My point is, it is all nature and survival. We ALL want a decent quality of life. That includes the LGBTQ community and or economic/environmental (climate change) migrants. We all want to live and be there for our families. But we take that desperation for a quality of life, being LGBTQ, human rights or economic freedoms and call it a crime to punish the victim because we don't understand or don't want to understand. We want our way and no other way of living. Anything different is a disease. SAD and DANGEROUS! Not proof read obviously
Interesting. They got that horribly wrong with me. That is why they treated me like Mandela, Mama Winnie, Nandi...etc..and failed to appreciate the consequences of that.
i cited your video in my assignment. Thank you.
How do you cite it in APA? Your reply would help a lot! Please and thank you.
