This is a really interesting video, in particular the extenders. A much neater method than dropping stitches down after the work is removed from the machine. Your project looks really neat. Thank you for such a clear, in depth video.

I ❤️knooking and your channel is explaining it the best. Emily, you can also do a twisted purl stitch : Working yarn in front but entering the hook from right to left like the knit stitch- easier for beginners, looks a tiny bit different but is still genuine knitting.🌸

Would it be easier to just learn how to knit the hat?

I just picked my knook hooks back up after not using them for a few years. Made myself a pair of mittens. Definitely easier to knit in the round 😊. You do the pearl stitch differently than I did. Will have to try that. Maybe my ribbing will be more elastic.
