Should YOU tune your Q50 3.0T?
Peresonally if I had to do it all over again I would tune it. The positives outweigh the negatives.

Thankfully I have not had any major issues overall with having the car tuned for a year now. Overall my experience has been 9/10. The only reason why it's not a 10/10 is that I'm constantly scared of the turbos going out or of something breaking but thankfully nothing has happened yet. This is probably the easiest way to install the akebono bbk. It was a little hard recording and doing the work with one hand so if something doesn’t make sense you can always comment and I’ll clarify. I had to go ahead and make the Q look better. I couldn’t stand the look of the old lip. I felt like everyone was looking at it and I didn’t like the exposed hood and fenders anymore. Basically just changed the look of it a little bit.

All these mods void your warranty right??? Is the car still holding up? I don't want to damage mine with mods. What is your 0-60 time?
Proper mods don't damage cars especially installed by Racebox.

If you don't have the expendable income to deal with possible issues, then don't do it.

You should have your oil pressure on your dashboard. SonicTuned has a recent blog post about him seeing a car per month destroy the engine because of an oil solenoid that goes bad. You want to be seeing 50-55psi in high RPMs. The VR30 has a low enough oil pressure as it is, definitely want to be monitoring that. Replacing the part if it’s low can fix the problem and save the motor. And those akebono pads just scream. Pretty normal for performance pads, brake dust build up. It will go away and then pop up on another side. Aston Martin has the loudest brake squeak, so I just pretend I’m in a Aston 😂

Why didnt you get the AMS stage 3 tune? It produces about 450whp and 500lbs torque. The kit is; intakes, large heat exchanger, lower down pipes and the tune+ port dongal.
I wanted just a little more power and wanted to run a little bit of E so that’s why I went with that. What I have was basically between the stage 3 and the ra500 package. But they don’t offer that thru ams but all my parts are ams

The pops will be louder if you go full straight pipe but you gotta drop the engine to do it

I think it’s like 3 or 4. I don’t remember. I’ll be doing the full process again here pretty soon. Going to be picking up a q60 to build for the channel. Stay tuned for that.

Picking up my Q this week after waiting 3 weeks🙏🏾 can’t wait to start getting some stuff done. Definitely inspired me bro✊🏾
These VR30 cars sound really unique as far as turbo cars go since they don’t have any sort of BOV or BPV. You really hear mostly just a V6 growl with a little bit of spool noise. Definitely different than most factory boosted setups though. They sound phenomenal with DPs and some HKS style BOVs too.

I can’t decide between the 3.7 or 3.0t , bc the 3.7 sounds 10x better and it’s more reliable the 3.0t is just a tad faster stock but can do more upgrades

First things first. Heat exchanger and oil catch can. I recommend. Ams heat exchanger and mishimoto catch can.
