Looks horrible. Disgusting, hideous “MoDeRn” architecture. Literally all they had to do was build another Saddledome except 4-5,000 seats bigger. Instead we get some woke monstrosity. I will never set foot in that building. Dome or bust. Bust? So be it. Bust it is.

Does anyone have an opinion on the new arena has 800 seating less than the Saddledome? Doesn't that make it a bit harder to get seats?

when they were talking about the four elements, i thought they were going to shock us all with a opening roof, to represent Air.

the design fits in well with the climate recently of Alberta wild and on fire like hell add some crazies drugs drunk hoodlums and local indigenous art you got trashy just like rest of victoria park.

After all the hype and anticipation of this new arena I was expecting a much more spectacular design …..this was not it.

Can't wait for it!! The Saddledome is Iconic but as you said way past it's prime/what it was designed for. Unfortunately the Saddledome is kind of isolated and solitary to a point, If the new building can do as others have in major sports markets and be a focal point that more community projects get built around and help build/express the Identity of Calgary today/spur on other local business I think the money from tax payers being put towards it is more than worth it!

There's a couple pretty unique ideas in there. I'm excited for a fresh arena with a fresh core of players! Thanks for the video as always Pike!

Rogers Place has 3 Parkade Vestibules with Elevators 🛗 ,for guests attending Oilers, Oil Kings & Concerts to use after they have their tickets 🎫 scanned & go through security check in the parkade. Wonder if Calgary’s New Arena Parkade area will be similar or not?

Will Calgary’s New Arena Parkade Entrance /vestibule area be similar to Rogers Place in Edmonton?

My hope is the cool looking fire pattern up along the top of the place will be lit up with LEDs in a way to make it look like the fire is flickering. That would be a really neat effect and give it an even more unique look.

Not enough talk about how there's no room for Coronato in flames land eh? I dont mind it, as the Wranglers looked pretty great, but behooves the team to make space for Matt if he comes into camp and earns it. I could see a situation where if Kuzy starts the year off on fire, we trade him by December and Coronato comes up and takes a top 9 spot and runs with it.
