  • @neiljohnson9686

    I suppose, even if the metal part of the bushing doesn’t release, that if the rubber heats enough to melt enough, that metal insert that seizes to the bolt will spin inside the rubber, allowing the bolt to come out with the metal part of the bushing with it. Duh, maybe not as I think of it. Yeah no. Damn. Lol. In fact that might screw me up. Guess that’s what happens when you were saying the ears were spreading….that metal was trynna come out with the bolt, spinning inside the melted rubber Did one side and had to cut two of the three and use thru bolts. About to crawl under for the next one now. Only have a propane torch tho

    This seems way easier than replacing the shitty metal lines. I guess I could do this without even touching the cage and just route them up by the cage with zipties like you said? Then just leave the old hardlines in the cage? I really don’t wanna try and remove the cage brackets, mine are rusted to shit and pretty much guaranteed to break. Thoughts?

      I would suggest not putting a screw in it unless you just can't find the clutch fork pivot stud. Their cheap at autozone. If the screw backs out and is tumbling around in your new clutch, it could possibly cause a problem. $8 bucks beats the price of a clutch.

    A few thoughts - the no fuel pump issue may be a bad Main Relay (located right above the hood release in the driver’s side interior). It’s common failure point in 88-91 CRX’s. The brake lights being stuck on is mostly likely the brake light switch on the pedal assembly. Finally when installing the rotor in the distributor put a small drop of blue Loctite on the threads. It’s common for the screw to back out over time and wreak havoc inside the distributor like you’ve seen. It’s a nice project. It’ll be fun to see you get it going.

    • @Robbinsbuiltgarage
      @Robbinsbuiltgarage Год назад

      I will be checking the relay i have a couple spares if i have no power. Tank was completely shot inside. Next video will cover all that. And i picked up a whole new distributor for it. But even before i install it i will make sure the screw has loctite on it. Thanks for the tips i forgot some over the years. First old honda i got to work on in alittle bit! Thanks for watching!
