In letting Margo/Eren go, Slowik held up the rule of Hawthorne: There are no substitutions at Hawthorne. Margo/Eren was a substitution brought by Tyler. Also, im glad this movie never resorted to cannibalism which is quite common in food related horror movies l, some dishes like The Mess do represent people, but they never actually use human flesh in the dishes.

I'm not sure where the interpretation came from that in season 1 Aziraphale and Crowley knew that their bond was love or that they understood the nature of their relationship. In season 1 their relationship isn't simple at all and it was something they (especially Aziraphale) clearly struggled with. Crowley could very clearly identify that they were friends, but Aziraphale struggled with even that idea ("We're not friends! We're an angel and a demon. We have nothing whatsoever in common - I don't even like you!"). It was clear that Aziraphale trusted and liked Crowley, but believed he did so against his better judgment. Aziraphale is good at compartmentalizing in his morals but not his actions, while Crowley is good at compartmentalizing in his actions but not his morals. At the end of the day, Aziraphale doesn't have faith in heaven but he still has faith in God, whereas Crowley holds allegiance to neither hell nor Satan and this disparity is not resolved by the end of season 1. Aziraphale is still bound by a sense of over-arching morality, whereas Crowley values free will more than anything else. They both influence each other on these points, but until they figure out how to accept each other (not trying to change each other) and square these two value systems I don't think they can fully conceptualize the nature of their relationship as anything much deeper than friends and allies when they share a common goal. I don't really think S2 is a retcon of their relationship, but a reflection of how their gaps in communication and understanding can lead to further problems in conditions where their goals differ.

In fairness to this season, it's not a secret that season 2 was always intended to serve as a bridge to season 3 and set things up for that. Gaiman and Pratchett had discussed and roughly outlined a plan for a second book, but Gaiman knew from the end of the first season (assuming the show was syndicated for a season 2) that he would need to set things up to get there, and that was publicized. It's not as good as season 1 and I don't think it was ever intended to be. The real question is, will season 3 be better than season 1? I have my personal doubts about that because of how much Pratchett's narrative style contributed to the original work but I guess we'll find out eventually...

I give this movie a 4 out of 10. I shut it off after the ridiculous fight scene between Margot and the Asian hostess. I rated this movie as bad as Blink Twice.

The actor probably was chosen, because he represents what Slovik has become - apathetic about his work. The love is gone. And the audience is not the one he wants. And in that process he hurts the audience, cheats them, steals their time with garbage without meaning or passion. Slovik sees himself and both have to die for having lost their way...

I love this analysis! Honestly, Sk8 means so much to me because by the time I watched it I was also in the process of grieving. It was very healing for me to see the different ways characters cope with whatever problems, anxieties and fears they have. Still, this analysis sure feels like a revelation! 💕In the end, I think Sk8 is not only a very fun show with amazing characters and interactions, but it's also a uplifting anime about the importance of processing loss, finding closer in meaningful bonds and fill a little bit of the emptiness in your heart with fun, new things. So I loved seeing Langa go from watching the days pass by to engaging with life and regaining his motivation and passion again! Also, I really really love SK8 for conveying the message that is ok to "distract" yourself from the pain 🤔 I noticed that after Langa told Reki his dad had passed away, Reki just said "I'm sorry" and they moved on from the subject. And it's not conveyed as "Langa is running away from his pain" and more in a "Langa is doing this to withstand his pain". Many times alienation things are seen in a bad light, but not in this anime. It's a much valid and important way to cope with sadness if said alienation brings happiness into your life and makes it actively better 💞 Langa's mother herself knows that and it warms my heart!

Well, so when Langa stole a motorcycle in episode 4 to rush to Reki's aid, Reki didn't realize Langa cared about him? I'm afraid you've been watching this anime very inattentively. In general, it's a big mistake to analyze characters who deliberately make themselves look different from who they really are by transferring your own experiences and your cultural sensitivities onto them. Reki espouses the values of streetstyle of skating, which say that one rides for fun, and in Reki's case, that includes love. Reki never cared about prestige or familiarity with so-called “S” celebrities. Moreover, the “simple guy Kojiro” came to the very same ramen room where Reki usually eats lunch in episode 4 to talk to him about Adam and warn him. But that doesn't fit into your headcanons at all, right?

So I think I understand why Chef was really angry with Elsa. She made one mistake. When Tyler tried to bring Margot, Elsa had a opportunity to make a change and only allow Tyler and spare Margot. But she didn't and as the chef understood Margot more and more Elsa's sin grew more dire. He wasn't just angry at Tyler, he was angry at Elsa and why she was horrified of being replaced.
