    Ok just 2 things 1. I dont think looking at the cameras is a 4th wall break that insinutates the viewers are the VIPs. Unless i'm thinking of a completely different part, he's pointing out that the people in the control room are watching their every move and dispatching pink guards when necessary. They dont care about the VIPs and might not even know about them 2. Jun Ho and In Ho could be half brothers. If In Ho and Jun Ho have the same dad but different moms then Jun Ho's mom would be In Ho's step mom. Great video though!

    the only reason the front man spun the top with his right hand at first instead of his left is bc the actor was literally so good at the top game that the directors had to make him use his non dominant hand to be able to mess it up bc everytime he’d use his left hand it would spin every time… it definitely was supposed to be messed up in the script so he definitely was trying to waste some time or wtv the point was, but it being his different hand didn’t really mean anything. him messing it up might be though lol.. just thought i’d add that..

    *Wow, I LOVED this...thanks to RUclips for the recommendation. Here before a million views 🎉. New sub for sure!!.* As for the Korean not translating as well, that has to do with there not being any honorifics in English. While a lot of us would understand the "unnie" stuff or "old man" stuff because we know about Korean culture ..they had to translate it to a (mainly American) audience for them to understand. So when they would have those conversations about someone being older and younger therefore you have to call me this and that.. had to be translated to an English speaking audience and changed a bit to make sense to them. But in Korean it meant so much more about how people like Thanos' lackey disrespected the smaller guy so much by addressing him with an honorific which meant that he was younger than him aka underneath him even though they were the same age. Also the frontman and his brother not having the same mom doesn't necessarily mean that they're step brothers...if they have the same dad than they are still blood related and they'd be Half brothers. As for the front man pretending to be bad at spinning top is because he was trying to buy time to make it so that Gi-Hun would have less time for his turn, therefore turning up the pressure on him. That's why when Gi-Hun messed up he used his own foot to help them win...which was also done to strengthen his bond with Gi-Hun so Gi-Hun would trust him more.

      @@copilotco I watched season 2 with a critical eye because I loved the first one so much (which maybe put it at an unfair disadvantage) but found it fell short in terms of tension building and dread. I thought the first couple of episodes and the carousel game were awesome. Characters seemed more shallow and a little like caricatures this season, we weren't offered the same opportunity to get to know them. There were some plot holes, and things that felt rushed or underdeveloped that sort of cheapened it for me too. I owe it a second watch though, at the very least.

    If you want a kick ass gaming computer then build one yourself. If you just want a cheap computer for productivity then get cheap Windows computer. If you’re willing to spend a little more for an attractive computer that runs a different OS and you like that OS then get a Mac mini. However, if you want to play demanding games on the mini just know that it won’t be as good as the DIY computer but it would probably be better than the cheap windows computer.

    The Mac mini base model is amazing for the price point. But the cost of either adding memory via upgrade or external hard drive. The lack of IO is gonna make it hard to keep a clean setup. Then you add the lack of DIY upgradeability. I see there are other mini PCs that may not be as powerful, but the difference in power may not be that noticeable. Finally, for me, the major issue with the Mac mini is that it's an Apple product and I have a lot of issues with them and their business practices.

      The mounts and custom lenses used to get some of the shots probably cost more than rigging out an FX3 though... Not to mention for most night shoots, they'd need far more light for comparable shots compared with a modern cinema camera. It's amazing that we've got that level of quality of video from our phones, but if budget is the only concern, they could have filmed it cheaper with better cameras. The look works for a zombie horror movie, but it wouldn't be ideal for most productions. It was mostly a marketing stunt by Apple I would guess. It is an Apple Original production after all...

    You can use 20 photos for more flat objects like a dish on a table. You need to give plenty of angular overlap between photos for the algorithm to figure out the 3D shape of the object. Obviously 18 degrees difference from photo to photo is outside the limit. An AI recommended me 5 degrees or less difference from photo to photo for good results.

    I'm sorry, you can't make a good Oz film without practical sets. They had them in The Wizard of Oz, they had them in Return to Oz. It doesn't feel like Oz if it's all CGI like the Star Wars Prequels. It's fantasy. You can use CGI to enhance here or there, but you need the practical base if you want that immersive feeling people crave from a fantasy story. Think of the LOTR films. Yes, CGI was used in places. But do you think they would be as beloved as they are without the practical Shire sets and the sweeping landscape shots?

    • @copilotco
      @copilotco 28 дней назад

      There are definitely some very valid arguments to be made about staying true to a film’s history! We totally agree that balancing amazing practical environments with tactical uses of CGI is where the magic happens. Do you think heritage/history will always be worth the extra spend, or is there a point where you’d be swayed towards virtual production?

    • @oliviastratton2169
      @oliviastratton2169 28 дней назад

      @copilotco It definitely depends on the story and genre. Obviously there are films that use a lot of CGI and are still great. (Sky Captain and the World of Tomorrow, Avatar, Life of Pi, Captain America: Winter Soldier, etc). But most of these films are action/sci-fi, which are genres where CGI seems to fit better. Fantasy is usually a nostalgic and pastoral genre, and too much CGI is distracting.

    I hate that my first comment here is arguing, and I love ICVFX/XR, but I have to disagree that virtual sets would have been a better choice in this case. These dance scenes took many weeks to shoot, making practical sets more cost effective. They were shot in 360 and high overhead, with fast camera travel, all of which would have been much more difficult and time consuming in an LED volume, if there's even one with the height, rotating stage, pixel pitch, and processing power to accommodate it (and I don't think there is). It also just looked better practical - they could focus on the details of the very beautiful sets instead leaving them just out of focal range.

    • @copilotco
      @copilotco 28 дней назад

      This is a really great in-depth look at how technology can be limited based on set dec, location, and world building requirements. Do you think virtual production can compete with some of the more traditional filmmaking practices out there?

    • @suzannejackowski9815
      @suzannejackowski9815 28 дней назад

      @@copilotco In my opinion, certainly! VP - or rather specifically ICVFX with LED walls (ignoring green screen for the moment) - is far preferable to practical for a lot of scenarios. Short shoots per location; multiple locations in a day; specific sky conditions; a location that's a mostly static suggestion of a type of place without the distractions of a specific real place; a location that isn't possible/accessible in the real world. BUT, from what I've seen, it's only cheap and easy with single-cam, limited camera movement, relatively stationary subjects, preferably when we don't need to see their feet or look too high on the horizon, and of course when the subject isn't physically interacting with the location. It's no surprise that (at least where I live) LED stages are mostly used for commercials, interviews, talking heads, car process, and music videos. Because outside those parameters, ICVFX quickly starts to require a lot more planning and problem-solving than practical sets or real locations. When you're directing a cinematic film, you want to use the full language of film. But now you're limited by the wall, every shot is forced perspective, you have to worry about blending your practical and virtual elements, you may have to nest shots if your subjects take up more space than your LED volume, your cinematography has more technical dependencies, and critically, you have to optimize the virtual elements, often on a shot-by-shot basis, to get the necessary frame rates. For those not in the know, this could mean anything from changing resolution on inner and outer frustums, baking lighting, reducing polygons, using MOCO with pre-rendered sequences, to "cheating" with an HDRI, no parallax, and just animating a few details in post. Optimizing is all about tradeoffs. And if you're going to keep those astronomical daily studio costs from blowing up, you have to prepare this ahead of time. As I'm sure I don't have to tell you, a lot of directors hate this workflow. They hate the tediousness of it, the limitations, and they hate being locked into such granular creative decisions in pre-production. (As an aside, the much longer pre-production windows for ICVFX are also nerve-wracking for directors because there's a lot more time for things to go wrong with financing and talent that could sink your movie before a frame is filmed.) So, is it competitive for cinematic filmmaking? Depends on what you're filming and how your time and resources are allocated. I'll happily use it for scifi world building, but I wouldn't try to make a Mission Impossible on an LED stage. What's more important is that it's early days, and it will only become more competitive for more productions as the tech gets better and cheaper and more people have more skills using it. Until then, that corner of the industry will be sustained by the short form stuff mentioned in the first paragraphs.

    The price of the M4 Mac mini is a fairy tale because it devalues the hardware. I've noticed so many people say they bought the M$ Mac mini but added upgrades. This basically shows that the base model, in many minds, has little or no value, except when it is upgraded. It's a marketing tool which uses the financial trickery of a closed, single source market against an open, multi-vendor market. If the M4 Mac mini was so great then one wouldn't need to upgrade it beyond external drives. As the price increases and the need to get real work done the value of the PC will eclipse any and all M4 devices. The utility of the M4 line is limited and of poor value in the higher end.

    I know since from the very start we've been endoctrinize by this apple ecosystem since day one of existence of this brand. I've been to Pc build for years now. But it's about time for change. And my PC just died this April, this was an Intel 4770K unlock multiplier, with a 16gb of DDR3 RAM, and a GTX 660Ti GPU, MOBO: Asus Maximus VI impact with a SSD of 256GB. Now I am about to consider buying the Mac Mini M4 since they have the most reasonable price when it comes to computing machines. This idea of matching the base model of M4 to any form of PC is a joke already since the size of the new Mac Mini M4 is 5inches x 5inches. Where can u get that kind of case in PC market? I got a Macbook pro 13 inches late 2012 A1425 that i use right now, and I also use some of there products like iphone and ipads. I've been to PC market ever since, but now since COVID started and prices of GPU just went up crazy. There is no way u can assemble a reasonable price pc right now with a better/ competitive performance. This coming Black friday and Cyber monday, I will get either the base model or the M4 pro. If the price is right for the pro I will get that one. But like i said PC market now is dying breed. There is no point of proving anything anymore. The market was flooded of RGB already and prices are just not that affordable. Nvidia and other PC companies are bunch of Egoistic CEOs that controls the market.
