That's a great observation! My guesses fall along the pragmatic and not very interesting. i) Marlene has likely taken up residence in the other room. ii) Having both comatose patients in the same room makes them easier for one viewer (Zack) to observe. It's also possible that it's a subconscious sentimental thing. That is a perplexing oddity, that the map in the Shinra Mansion wouldn't include the Northern Continent. Modeoheim, Shinra's failed resort town featured in Crisis Core (where Zack and Angeal tragically face off) is on the Northern Continent. The Mansion is quite old; harkening from before the first Reactor was built. Perhaps the map is likewise quite old? The missing Northern Continent could also be due to grander reasons, as you consider. I resonate with the idea that Spira and Gaia have some sort of meaningful relationship. As Shinra was able to go from one to the other on a conventional chemical based rocket; the two are likely in the same solar system. Bugenhagen of FFVII shows the entire solar system during the eponymous revelation scene. Gaia appears to be 3rd rock from the sun, in a solar system with 9 planets... Perhaps Spira orbits in the position of Mars or Venus? The future of the FF franchise is something I'll talk about in videos to come, after the Deep Dives. I likewise see there being some unique occurrences to follow Journey's End (part 3). In part this is due to AI entirely changing the landscape of all technological production; and the geniuses at SE are very aware of this. Thank you for the thought provoking incites, as always! @@dreamphoenix Yeah the map room suggests Shinra planned the first expedition there. And of course they brought Jenova back, but exploration planning stopped and technology planning began. Think. First reactor is after they get Jenova, not just from Shinra of FF10. They were feeding Jenova mako from the beginning? Finally, the mansion is abandoned...abruptly...in horror. Things are broken. Gonna study the crime scene more. Was hoping you had found a clue or two.

@@Drw-id-Kirin I've also been intrigued by the Shinra mansion mystery, and I hope there is something immense about why the lab was abandoned. I always believed that the Mansion proper was fully functional up until the Nibelheim incident, after which it was purposely kept in its abandoned state so Hojo could carry out his experiments in the secret basement. The lab at least was in operation until a couple months before FFVII (when Zack and Cloud escape). Absolutely great observation on the first NIbelheim reactor. It wasn't created for power, but rather for Jenova. Thank you!

@@dreamphoenix Some inferences. 1. Gast allowed Shinra to believe Jenova was an ancient even though Ifalna corrected him. Hojo's confusion as to Jenova's identity motivated him to murder Gast, as per OG script where he calls Ifalna an ancient. 2. Ifalna said Jenova's virus turned her people into monsters. I noticed Doom's Maykr species also undergoes transfiguration when they don't get mako. Plus, you can verify their language has the same basic shapes of lines and circles which the Cetra runes have. Now get this. The Maykr...join a collective consciousness upon death in their rebirth cycle. So the picture I'm getting is that Shinra found Jenova in angel form, and then Hojo put her in a test tube with mako, which turned her into the present female form, leading them to cover her with the angel draping and horrifying Shinra enough to leave the mansion for good. Notice Hojo's human experiments at Nibelheim (and J-cells probably) produced the same transfiguration result. Finally, his monsters in Rebirth cause immediate transfiguration when they reach J-cell carriers. Same result, albeit a much more Lovecraftian method from The Invaders. Will keep digging.

We resonate very much! Even Watashi Sephiroth fights an inner war. I don't believe he's 100% aligned with Jenova. And it's certainly possible the Harbinger was aligned with Gaia, but if so it then is extremely odd she would summon three aspects of Sephiroth to fight the heroes (amongst other oddities). As I've been putting forward for a few years now; likely the Harbinger once represented Gaia purely. Jenova corrupted that, until the Whispers/ Harbinger were a ruinous macabre shadow of their former selves (much like Robed Men, Sephiroth, anything Jenova infects). Ever Crisis has presented a tale of two cities; the best of times and the worst of times. In the Midsummer's Night Dream event, we see evidence of Cloud learning from memories he didn't gain in that body, and romantic magic unfolding as a result. When Cloud is bathed in love in both Remake and Rebirth, he heals at a much faster rate relative to FFVII, and acts from a loving state we never saw in the original trilogy (amongst other benefits). As I will delve into in the A Cetra's Story event, the Greater Good and Personal Good can be in violent contradiction to each other, but they might not be; it depends who you trust. Caught in the middle of that emotional insanity is Cloud, who now has a one wing... When Cloud isn't bathed in love or is so conflicted he can't feel it, he is a Machiavellian executioner, as well as someone who seems cold to those closest to him. Rebirth's ending I originally related to "we lost, again". And yet, there's hope. Extremely dangerous hope that will leave no-one untouched in any universe, including ours. @@dreamphoenix First Sephiroth says about Jesse "she had become a precious friend" like he knows better Cloud's feeling. Then There is a line that doesn't appear at all in English at the end. When Sephiroth says to Cloud fill your empty heart with a burning rage. Just after he said "use it to cure your sorrow" in JP and "burn away the sorrow" in FR... and he ends " become the one I was that day" (Nibelheim incident). If Sephiroth knows that Jesse was "a precious friend" what about Aerith then ? Use it to cure/make disappear your sorrow ... a Foreshadow of Rebirth, a first missed opportunity there ? or a foreshadow for the Northen Crater scene ? Maybe it was obvious in English and I didn't get it but the more I replay it in French the more I feel an Anakin Skywalker vibe. That's a fantastic question! I always assumed all Soldiers do have S-cells inside them, except the ones who have G-cells (which I believe are relatively few). I'm guessing the reason these soldiers degrade into robed men that Jenova/ Sephiroth can so easily implant themselves in is due to bearing the S-cells within them; but it's just a guess. I've seen and been fascinated by the idea that we could see a version of Cloud with a wing! Some people believe a white wing, others believe he'll represent unity; and have one black, one white. A portion of this latter group believe Ore Sephiroth will likewise sprout a white wing to join his black, also representing unity. Thank you for the comment!

Hooyah to that possibility! I also strongly believe (and will be discussing in a video to come) that the 'Cloud Remembers' sequence will be radically different in effect, though being similar in execution. Two Sephiroth's, Zack, Cloud, Hojo and Tifa are all in them, and they will be as self aware as everyone on the Dream Date/ Zack-lives worlds. And it's a hyperplane, as seen in the FFVII version; where a consciousness can manifest bodily in more than one location simultaneously, especially if they are transcendent... such as Sephiroth. (I don't know if they two aspects will cross swords, but I very much hope so.) I resonate with the idea that Full Form Jenova will be a late journey boss, and possibly also a secret boss. A humble observation I made about the Barrett being stabbed (and everyone almost dying on the express way due to a crashing helicopter); we didn't see the rainbow effect because singularity hadn't come and collapsed yet. The first instance of rainbow effect we get in Remake is right at the end when Sephiroth sends Cloud to the Edge of Creation. Thank you again for the food for thought, and for watching!

I imagine that whether Cloud gives Sephiroth the Black Materia or not, meteor will be witnessed in journey's end. Consider that in a Zack-lives world, seen from the Sector 5 church, meteor is impending.
