ALRIGHT let’s debunk the racism real quick, courtesy of a conversation between me and an artist about the stylings of LBP and whether or not they’re racist: 1) The Aboriginal depicted is not racist, it is a depiction of a ceremonial mask, which is an inherent part of the culture. 2) Sario “looking like he has slanted eyes” at a distance of like 5 yards while you’re squinting at your monitor just because the has big eyebrows is more of a projection of your own perceptions than anything on the devs. 3) The engineer is probably wearing a straw hat because some engineers work outside, and a straw hat is a hat specifically designed to block the sun. If I were working outside, I’d also want to block the sun. 4) The depictions of the Middle East are fairly standard per most cartoon media and if we compare the designs to Aladdin, it’s clear that the movie was an inspiration for these designs. 5) Sumo is once again saying more about yourself than the developers. 6) Ze Dude was given normal lips that match his skin tone and of the three characters with “abnormally large lips”, his fit his face objectively the best. If his design were racially motivated, he would’ve been given bigger red lips and even darker skin almost the same color as his hair which btw, an Afro is just a popular African American hairstyle? Where do you think it gets the name AFRO? And furthermore as for the big nose, most characters in LBP1 have absurdist features similar to caricatures, it’s the game’s style. So in conclusion, yeah you really shouldn’t have spoken on this considering your understanding of racism is limited to either your own inner insecurities and trying to make up for them by projecting your perceptions onto art, or the simple philosophy that other cultures should be exempt from being the subjects of absurdist caricaturization, which is ludicrous. Really hope you give yourself a good slap in the mirror and rethink everything you said in that tangent.

Was enjoying the video until racism was brought up. How crazy are you?. Nobody ever thought about any of that playing the game. The majority of people wouldn't have a problem today except a small loud minority on twitter. Stereotypical characteristics of characters and world design is absolutely fine. Infact the only people who get offended by these things are always white westerners... funny that.

as somebody whos played the Vita version. honestly, there's a lot to it. yeah the controls are a bit jank.i recommend a modded vita cause there's a lot more games then LBP. im talking, Project Diva, Stardew Valley, Persona, even PSP emulation is possible with Adrenaline, etc. its such an underrated device. Note: if Fanfiction is your thing, Ao3 works perfectly on the web browser and is great for reading.

As someone who played almost entirely LBP 3, I can confirm that my friends also didn’t wanna play it with me anymore. Not because they got bored of it, but because I kept curbstomping them until they ragequit, and then promptly sending them an invite the next day to do the same thing, lmfao.

Newton's old concept design is PEAK. Also, if it were possible to have mods for SABA, I would make a costume mod pack with all the old storymode creator curator characters. For example: Larry, Victoria, Clive, Avalon, Eve, Dr. Higginbotham, Newton, Marlon, etc. Any character you could think of.

I think with the knowledge of the current community surrounding BoneLab, I think BoneLab wasn't only meant to be seen as what the potential future of SLZ games could be, but also as a tool for other people to use for themselves. Considering the progress mods have made with an extended SDK, I'd say BoneLab was doing pretty well, if it wasn't for the fact that the capabilities of the extended SDK wasn't made by SLZ. Since the base SDK was made up of practically levels and avatars, not even weapons have been implemented as of now. And only recently has SLZ been more transparent about progress on updates, like how they wanted to keep updates held until they seemed substantial enough so they don't have to break mods every update, though it doesn't rectify that the last proper SDK update was over a year ago now when they said the game would have 2 years of support. So as of now, the community is waiting on the next patch to see what they have been working on for the past year, and how it could make things easier with more official means of modding. Thought I could try to give a few more points considering what has been happening with the game and the community.

I absolutely adored LBPK. Might just be because of nostalgia, but it was a damn good game, even if it was just built on top of modnations. About the weapons, I personally found them to be categorizable as the following: Red = Can only be thrown in front of you, also homing. Green = Can be thrown front or back depending on the direction of the stick, does not home in. Blue = Is not thrown, rather affects an area around the kart or itself. I also got to buy the Spongebob pack before it was removed and I totally agree that the fluid is an amazing addition to creation, and the pack itself is pretty solid, specially with the main hub (It even had a tiny little racing minigame)

Vita was a really great entry in the series, I think you should give it a try when you can and do a video on it. I think you will be pleasantly surprised
