Draw with me // tattoo flash
Working on bulking up my bank of flash for when I open my books. I draw all my tattoo flash by hand and then alter it in procreate to make sure it will transfer and wear well on skin. I know it would be easier to just draw it in procreate to begin with, but to be honest, I hate digital drawing. It's not a fun process for me, so here we are!

Two colour linocut printmaking process
Thank you so much for all your tutorials, I’m currently learning how to print and you channel is a truly valuable resource for me ❤
This was extremely helpful! Thank you!
Excelent video!
Amazing work! Just wondering if you always use sharpies to tint your linoleum and whether or not it will hurt the integrity of the piece?
Fascinating to watch how you add basic shading and then break it into contour line work and details, even adjusting as you go. Very cool.
Wow. Just wow. Thanks!
You are an excellent communicator-clear and well demonstrated. Best wishes. :-)
But how did you get the original image on the panel? 🤔
I drew it.
Stunning!
What kind of paper did you use for this? Also, why don't you leave the lino sticking out the bottom of the registration? Great video, thanks. :)
Dziękuję, piękny linoryt - Thank you, beautiful linocut :)
A bench hook would make your carving process a lot easier. Looks great!
I don't like them.
Thank you for this. A much simpler process!
Excellent! 😘
Mesmerising, what sort and brand are your carving tools please, I'm going to start learning how to do this its my kind of thing. Thank you
I love the effect of the weaved basket on her back!
This video taught me so much in such a short time: cool registration process, the advantages of being able to see through your paper, keeping your cuts minimal and clean! I only wish I could see more of how you handled some of those sharp corners and stops but thank you for such an informative demonstration!
Absolutely Stunning 😊
Gosh I love, love, love how you talk through your feeling about what need to change in your work.
It's absolutely beautiful how those poppies come to life when you start making them black and carving out some light.
I use WetOnes for cleanup of oil based ink and also baby oil. Cheap, doesn't smell too much.
Arm tattoos are truly hideous, especially on women
Your work is beautiful 😍
thank you so much!
Your tutorials are so good. Just want to express my thanks. I am learning a ton through your videos, and it's giving me the confidence to try working with oils and experimenting with new papers. You've definitely opened my eyes. Subscribed!
I'm so happy to hear that! You've definitely got this, it's all just practice! :)
Extender doesn’t change the opacity? Its purpose literally is for making inks more transparent, that’s what its description says. Why else would you use it?
We used extenders in school to beef up ink supply. I think if you were experimenting with layers and coloured inks you'd get a different effect, but it doesn't alter the opacity of the blacks that I use.
@@ElRonan huh, how interesting; thank you for answering!
Hi! I'm starting to learn how to linocut, and I have to say your channel has been incredibly helpful, because you get to see how you make your decisions directly on the lino. Also, I'm very envious of your carving technique. I watch your videos over and over to figure out how you make detail, shading and tonal shifts look so natural.
Hey, I'm so glad these videos are helpful! It just takes practice, you'll get there!
Hey, my friend introduced me to the idea of linocuts recently. I really liked this video and your process, I hope you keep making more
Hey, so glad you're starting out! Best of luck!
That's very cool I did something similar like this in school
Awesome to hear that!
@@ElRonan thx
That's vary cool
Well done
excellent

I love your perseverance, and how your approach to your work is meditative and healing. Please know that your positive influence on my art practice is really appreciated. I love learning from your RUclips posts and my lino-cut work has gained so much from what you have shown me.
This really made my day, thank you! <3
Very Awesome❤
Muy bello tu trabajo.
Please keep posting. I am so interested in artists and their daily lives
Thanks for showing your process! These videos are super helpful!
I'm glad they're helpful! Thanks for watching!
I can see the bird much better in the edits! I really like the print
Amazing! Thanks for the feedback!
I don’t share your pessimism. I find the story telling of the bird in peril over plays the different zones you are worrying about.
Thank you! Just the information I needed. Also I love the print! Beautiful work :)
does sharpening the 0.5mm work on the slipstrop?
It does okay on the smallest groove, so long as the block isn't too worn.
What is the name of that board where you are carving
battleship grey linoleum. It's linked in the description.
Hi! If I were to only buy one of these 3 products, which would be the most important?
It really depends on the type of ink you use and how you're printing (handpress vs. a printing press). Personally, I grab for a tack reducer and my extender most frequently.
What brand is that black charcoal pencil you are using in your doodle videos please Thank You
It's just whatever was in stock at michael's
i just bought one of these and it's coming tomorrow. thanks for teaching me how to use it.
thank you so much for this. watching your registration style was really helpful in making my brain understand how to do it.
Beautiful work... proportions, line width, detail, and a sense of fulness and space, excellent art. But... your gouging practice with your fingers in front of that razor-sharp blade scares the hell out of me. If you find a board and drive two nails into it, they will hold the lino in place while you steady it with your free hand at a safe location.
My process works fine for me. After years of doing this, I have good control. I don't like the non-slip methods, they don't give me enough space to move the block around, but if it works for you that's great. Working small means there's not as much risk with slipping in a major way, but I understand that it looks dangerous from this vantage. Thanks for your concern, I have yet to cut myself though.
Que habilidade... Parabéns!! 🇧🇷
How to print your design so dark on your lino? Also, where do you source your lino? I am only asking because when you carve it, it looks so fresh and seems so much easier and smoother to carve. The lino I get from the art store seems almost dried out and crumbly compared to what you're using in your videos.
I have a link in the description for the type of lino I use. It's battleship grey from dick blick. The black on the block is sharpie. I draw with the sharpie as I go.
I was just looking at your old videos yesterday, wondering where ya went; Good to see you're still at it, Great Stuff!
Thanks! I took a little break to learn a few new skills, but am looking forward to producing more consistent content on here :)
