Bennie, You skipped a step. The first container of oil is only 5 qts...it takes 9 qts. you should not have put the cap on and closed the door (or start the car) until you put in 4 more qts.

I'm 5 years into my 2020 Camry 2.5. I'm 71 now and do all my engine oil changes. On this transmission change I would have to get the car up high enough AND make sure the car is level. If I pay a shop to do it...they may have someone who doesn't do it correctly. How would I know that...unless they let me watch from 10 ft. away...which they would not allow me to do? The local dealership can't be trusted either!

Also how did you know that it was at the correct temp to check gauge? How long do we keep the truck on if we don’t have a scan tool to check the temp? Or are you going off the amount removed?

Im confused. You only had 13 qts. Are you saying that there is 6-7 qts that stay in the system at all times?? So each time your servicing, your diluting the stuff that’s in the system. By the end you went through 12-13 qts but each time you added it was 5-6 qts. Am I correct?

@7:02 Thanks for letting us know what brand of replacement strut to NOT touch with a 10-foot pole. When you have to do surgery on your replacement parts, you picked the wrong supplier.

I have a 2018 Compass (Manual Transmission). The Touchscreen system in it -at least the version we have in India - doesn't have the brake service option - only has EBP auto off/on setting under brakes. I was wondering if the procedure to swap brake pads in it would be the same as this?

At 50k or 60,000 miles. A fluid change like this is pretty smart. But when you reach 100 to 120,000 miles, I highly recommend you change the filter inside the pan.

Bought my '07 460 back in 2013. 66k miles on it. I now have 223k miles. The car is a tank to say the least.

I looked at 460L's and decided to go with a 2004 Lincoln Town Car instead. It's hard to beat the ride of a Lincoln. The 4.6 V-8 is bulletproof and parts for this car are cheap. Easy to work on too. I am completely satisfied. Best driving car ever.

According to Toyota procedure you need to bypass thermostat oil cooler with a pin before you adjust fluid.

I bought a 2022 Ford BRONCO SPORT and the manual for the 1.5L say “Oil capacity: 5.3 qt(5.05L) what you said!! But i wonder why the same manual bring an extra paper that say : “Engine oil capacity and specification - 1.5L Ecoboost, vehicle built from 10/2021 Capacities: 6.6 qt (6.25L) including the oil filter “

If I am not mistaken, as long as you do not disconnect the plug you won't have an issue, if the plug is disconnected it has to be recalibrated.

I have a 2017 F150 owner's manual calls for LV not ULV, if you look up 2018 it has both listed. Is there something different with the 2017 10 speed? So would ULV be fine or should I stick with manual.

Im assuming that after you filled the tranny and let the transmission come up to the 100° operating temperature that when you removed the drain plug and allowed the excess to flow out that was done while the engine was running correct? That may explain why some other people were saying they drained 4 L but we’re only able to put two back in if the engine is not running while you are draining the excess out then you will not have the proper fluid level.

I just crawled under my 2007 150 XL 4.2 [bought new] and the rust looks extensive but not terrible. I live in Southern Minnesota [salt] and love this truck and it makes me sad the foundation of this truck was so poorly designed. It's not an engineering problem it's a brain problem, something we were once good at. I love the design and style of this truck and want to keep it alive. But, is it worth it? Can the frame be treated now to secure the trucks foundation? Thanks and Peace 🕊

I am possibly going to look at one beige 83k one owner look mint in and out...napoli nissan dealer asking 10,850 k plus 700$ tax title reg ..i dont know .,..no warrenty as is ..i will see how it drives and take to my trusted mechanic...some people say no way...if i liked way it drives and mechanic says ok think its a bit over priced..but id like to haggle cheaper..this is stressing me out...lol ..i know they all mark it up a few grand over price to make profit..but u said water pump is / could be biggest issue.. id like to say 9 k or a few hundred over out the door but they probably wont go that low add ur taxes n title .i got 5 k cash and 5 k on credit card 0% purchase offer so car would be outright mine no finance and make my credit payments...and im a chick ..so u know ill feel tackled lol my credit score is 800 so thats not a issue

By following this video step by step, I was able to fix the issue. I tested the old one by blowing air into it and it came through the other side proving it was stuck open. After replacing the purge valve, it took a few drives, but the check engine light eventually turned off. Thanks for this video, very helpful!!!

Why do you use the fill plug rather than through the dipstick? Does it matter? The dipstick is so much easier and doesn’t require the long breaker bar
