That dog was in the ground the same day its just the way it was

The topic discussed here is explaining and discussing the traits that all of us are connected to, that bond to our dogs, that make us so proud of our dogs, the dogs we love so much. A chain is only as strong as its weakest link has never been more true than on the yard. I don't care how strong your chain is. A APBT will pull and yank until it breaks. Keeping two dogs that don't like each other, on different sides of the yard is common sense. It looks nice but not worth it.

I am a 51 year old man with bulldogs for 46 years, RIP Jay Crenshaw, who lived near me. A friend of mine who grew up with Jay had a brother of Jeep named Troy. I have had some really good dogs that were only pets, I never bred or allowed my dogs to breed, I never matched or rolled my dogs. All of my dogs came from Virginia. I have a male and female now I keep with me 24/7 I'm never without them, I take a step, they take a step etc. I only rescued one dog from a shelter, the red nose female I have - I knew the blood of all my other dogs. In 46 years I have seen many battle scarred dogs. I never saw a dog like my female. The non kill shelter said she was 27-28 lbs when she got there, on an IV for 2 weeks. I have no idea why I all of a sudden went to the shelter, I've never considered a shelter dog before, it was out of the blue. A few minutes after I got to the shelter they brought her out for adoption they had her in intensive care 5 weeks and she was a thin , underweight, but healthy enough at 52 pounds. ( 64 pounds lean and mean is her best weight, pretty big dog, most of mine were a lot smaller) Anyway she turned out to be my most loved dog, the dog I was closest to. I call her "Big Sissy" because she is the toughest dog I ever had I believe. I don't know how she survived what she went through before I got her. I know how tough these pitbulls are but still, I can't believe this dog lived through whatever happened to her, I have NEVER seen scars like this. When I die and walk through the valley of the shadow of death I want my "Big Sissy" girl to walk with me, she has been through hell, she knows the way. I can honestly say I would give my life for this dog. I have never been loved so much by anyone or anything, what an honor to have her in my life.
