Yewbarrow - My STAG do Wild Camp | 5 Wainwrights with an EPIC Cloud Inversion in the Lanshan 1
In todays adventure we head to the Lake District for a special wild camp. My stag do and what a place to celebrate it too.......
The adventure started as we headed over towards Wasdale, parking at the side of Wast Water we headed off up Nether Beck for the first Wainwright of the day, Haycock. After summiting Haycock we then headed over to Scoat Fell, Steeple then Red Pike before heading to the final summit of the day where we planned to wild camp Yewbarrow, this would be our fifth Wainwright of the day after hiking 9.5 mile.
At the summit of Yewbarrow we met up with Lewis and Craig who we had panned to meet after they had run up Scafell Pike, to be young again lol.... We set up the tents, ...

In todays adventure we head up to Buckden Pike for a wild camp. We set off from the Buckden car park (£6.50 for 24hrs parking) and head up the beautiful Buckden Beck taking our time to grab some photographs of the stunning waterfalls the beck has to offer. As we approach the the summit the weather takes a turn for the worse and also find there is a Fellsman run where 300 runners will be passing...
Battered by STRONG Winds | Scrambling up Whitegill Ravine | Wild Camping on Loft Crag, Lake District

In todays adventure we're heading out for a wild camp somewhere in the Langdales, our plan is to scramble up Whitegill Ravine to bag Blea Rigg, my 103rd Wainwright before heading off up over Pavey Ark to find somewhere to wild camp. The conditions as we headed out were forecast to be horrendous but as we scrambled up Whitegill Ravine we were offered some protection from the elements. As we brok...

Nice one Phil 👍🏻 I was at Codale Tarn last night… it’s a bugger from Easdale Tarn 😆 I think I chose the hardest route at the far end of Easdale upto Codale 🥵
@@Ian_Willcock haha ye its a little tough one that, nice quiet spot tho 👍
I think it was you we met? We gave up and camped at easdale which was lovely. We met a lady who had bumswizzeled over the rocks I tried to get up and she had no back pack.... She said it was nasty! 😬😂... We were impressed with your scramble up to the top👏
@@nevermorethan4 good stuff 👍 hope she was ok 👍
@@R6PhilOutdoorEnthusiast oh no sorry I meant @Ian_Willcock
@@nevermorethan4 yes it was me yesterday. I camped at Codale. Next time I’ll choose an easier route up 🥵 glad you enjoyed Easdale tarn ⛺️👍🏻
Oldest date I found in cave was 1901 and it defo was legit, the style of writing was old
@@gymbruh1824 brilliant, I didn’t notice the dates 🫣
@@R6PhilOutdoorEnthusiast yeah one. Said "exsoc 1901 and another said" royal anglian poachers 1960 odd..... Be great if any1 knows what they mean
@@gymbruh1824 very interesting, ye would love to know the history of that too 👍
How do. Many ppl fail to find. It. Amazes me. Lol.,, found it first try,,,, I mean u can't miss it u can't literally see it from the pub carpark 😂
@@gymbruh1824 haha you definitely can’t see it from the pub 😂 ye not really difficult to find if you have the knowledge. Thanks for watching 👍
Great fun watching this ride Phil. Definatly an "oops" for the poor camera. Oh yeh, Ddevil's Bridge - you could have stopped to have a chat with the lads! Thanks for taking us out on the ride to Ribblehead. Would love to try that handgliding too. Have a good ride, every day Phil, from Paul & Kathy in GB 🤝👍✊
Cheers Paul and Kathy, ye was a great ride out this one, devils bridge was way to busy to stop lol, still good fun tho 👍 Thanks for watching 👍
Now there's a couple of give away's Stag do & "my wife to be" 😊👍 nice one Phil. Thanks for showing us the latest scenes from your 5 Wainwrights😍👍 Have a sunny day, every day Phil & better half, from Paul & Kathy in GB 🤝👍✊ That plane has been flying around up here for two weeks so far. It has a buddy up there and we have seen them flyby together.
Brilliant stuff, thanks very much, appreciate it mate ATB 👍
Glorious day in the Lake District, those have been few and far between this year. I always thought you were married so congratulations to you both! Fair play to you ll on those climbs with camping packs and I have Red Pike and Yewbarrow to do this year. As Stag do food goes, I have seen better but what a place to eat it, amazing views. Those morning views were even better - epic was an understatement and looking at that descent, I think it will be Yewbarrow first and dropping off Red Pike, cheers Alan
Haha cheers Alan, the walk was surprisingly easy to be honest. We had an amazing weekend mate. As you say the descent from Yewbarrow is very steep and loose. Thanks for watching mate ATB 👍
Sounds like a class stag do man. I was pitched over on Pillar that night and that cloud inversion was the best I've ever seen. Got a video out on Wednesday for it.
Nice one Chris, ye it was certainly epic mate, thanks for watching, I’ll give yours a watch when it’s out 👍
Absolutely epic couple of days. Looks like you got awesome conditions. Great way to spend a 'stag do'. Congratulations and all the best for the big day👍
Nice one cheers Benny 👍
Absolutely epic one that Phil. Never seen a cloud inversion like it. The time lapse and photos were stunning. ATB for next week mate, enjoy yourselves 👌
Nice one Joe, thanks very much mate 👍
Hi Phil, brilliant mate. Many congratulations on your wedding Day to you and your better half. What a camp that was. I was up in that area a couple of weeks ago, I went up Dorehead Screes from Wasdale and did Red Pike, Scoat Fell and Pillar. I’m in agreement with you about Steeple, although I’m saying it’s my favourite mountain in England I’ve dine so far. Epic little walk over to it, and the views from its summit are just WOW! All the best again mate Dave 😀⛰🥾💍
Thanks very much Dave, really appreciate it mate and a huge thanks for watching 👍
Cracking video Phil , Great to see you out with Tony and RickT on your stagcamp. Some gorgeous colours at night time and that cloud inversion in the morning just wow! what a day/night to pick! Might have to get myself one of them stoves they look the part. All the best to you and your partner on your big day.
Thanks very much mate, ye it’s good to get out with the lads, cracking guys 👍 The stove is ace and not much 💰 thanks for watching ATB 👍

Great video Phil, you did well on the rough track there , Great scenery shots of Ribblehead etc, I am usually at Devils Bridge on my Bike at the weekends but it looked busier than the time I was there on Sunday afternoon 😀. Some good camping spots on the journey round there Phil. 😀
Cheers Stephen it was a tough ride over Salter Fell but good fun, I was going to stop at devil’s bridge but was just too busy for me. Ye some good spots over the tops 👍 thanks for watching mate ATB

Stayed overnight there back in 1984. Magical place. Never forgot it.
Good stuff, still need a stay over myself 👍
Great video mate.. Hoping to get up there at some point over the weekend and it's nice to see the lay of the land since the wind kept my visit short when I walked there last time... Thanks again and keep enjoying the fells 👍🏻👍🏻

I’ve been neglecting the Dales in favour of the Lakes for a while now so a nice reminder that though not as spectacular it’s still got a lot of charm.
To be honest I’m the same but was good to explore new areas 👍 Thanks for watching ATB Phil 👍
Great to see these lesser known areas. Surprising how much bite is still in those winds at times this time of year isn’t it. And sounds like Tony was slowing you down on the way up past those waterfalls? Loved the optimism earlier, I’m off to get some Astro pictures 🤣🤣🤣
Haha always great to explore new areas Chris. We’d decided to take our time on the way up to grab some nice pics, no rush and there was no way we were getting Astro 😂 Thanks for watching mate 👍
Cracking area Phil. Beautiful countryside and well captured. Those light trails of the runners were well cool too . Cheers Phil 👍 atb Rick n Billydog
Cheers Rick, yes mate it was a lovely area, always good to explore new areas. Thanks for watching mate 👍
Nice one Phil ✌
Cheers Colin, thanks for watching 👍
Cracking video, good to see Tony out with you. Stunning scenery there, shame about the clag and drizzle....but lucky you didn't get any Billinge rain, or you would have got soaked 😂
Haha ye wet stuff that Billinge rain lol. Lovely area to explore and great to get to new locations, thanks for watching mate ATB 👍
Enjoyed that Phil, the scenery on the walk in is stunning 👍
Cheers Ross, yes mate stunning walk in up the beck 👍 Thanks for watching 👍
Another class video Phil.

Tell you what mate you certainly eat well camping and look a gorgeous 👍
Haha cheers mate, nothing wrong with a nice bit of food while camping 👍
Another cracking video Phil 👍 I was up pendle hill at the "usual" spot the night before your camp and the wind was brutal aswell as bitterly cold!!!
Good stuff Ross, nice spot that. Ye it was a brutal night but well worth it. Thanks for watching mate 👍
Enjoyed that! Just came across your channel from your post on facebook. We’ve subscribed to catch more mate 👍
Brilliant mate, thank you very much, appreciate the feedback ATB Phil 👍 Cheers for the sub too 😀
I did them both about a year ago in similar weather and real nice to knock them both off together. Pleased you took the sensible route up Great Mell Fell and not try and go up The Assent from Doom, round the back like I did. I remember getting sunburnt doing all the Dodds last year, fat chance of that this year so far. The infinity pool was a bit of a disappointment but the photos were not, great shots! Cheers Alan
Cheers Alan, ye I just needed to bag them both together as they’re just out on a limb. Wasn’t too bad tho, planning doing the Dodds the same way as you 👍 Not much to shout about at the infinity pool but wanted to see it. Thanks for watching mate 👍
👌
Cheers 👍
