What did u do with the two big plugs behind the motor under the intake? Im wanting to do this exact thing with my old harness but idk what to do with them two big plugs

I have a d15z6 engine can I also do this? Put a d16 head on it

How do you avoid damaging the weaves?

I’ll personally never understand why anyone would put this much time and effort not to mention money in a tiny d series. Dump that same amount of money into a larger 4 cylinder if you choose that platform and get better results per dollar.

😂😂😂 i build a old school style mini me d15b2 and p08-3 head no VTEC crap or turbo crap . shaved the head and port mild and put a 272 Delta cam using obdo distributor with some adjustments and a Weber carb and others things old school knowledge like a lighter flywheel etc header and she is a monster gd on gas easy to maintenance and tune with a rusty old screwdriver 😁🪛 .And believe me she is a fast go-kart and her looks tuff and her sound like a old Ford muscle car and she is my baby girl crx bring on and yes she can be converted to b16 transmission in 20 minutes for the big boys in the streets jjjjjj 😁 poor turbos and VTEC jjjj .And she can become 4 barrel carb with higher cam in 20 minutes to really scream fire 🔥 jjjj all homemade nothing special old school style d engine is the real monster and cheap build jjj 🐈

You’re way overthinking it and you’ve got it all wrong. First of all, sensors are 5V. 12V is for the injectors, IACV (these are motors), or for switches like the radiator fan switch, VTEC solenoid and oil pressure switch. These don’t “sense” anything. The black wires also go to the thermostat with the brn/blk. The difference between blk (ground) and brn/blk (logic ground) is that logic grounds carry a small amount of voltage, less than 1V, because of the difference in resistance at the ECU and the true battery ground. It’s more than you need to worry about but the reason is because things like the TPS, MAP, IAT, ECT “sense” by providing a resistance. The ECU interprets that resistance to know how hot something is, how open something is. It all has to be calibrated to the ECU, not to a perfect battery ground. All of these sensors need to be on the same ground (logic ground) that the ECU is using. While things like motors and switches just use a battery ground in order to operate. They’re either 12V or 0, at no point is the ECU looking at how much voltage these have because there is no resistance.

To everyone going to try the purple harbor freight gun once you replace the crap o ring with hillman part number H#780003 o ring you will have a very decent spraying gun for cheap it corrects the leak issue and makes the gun spray better

how did you resolved the crank not turning issue, was it due to the bearing being oversize

hey man, me again, wish i could do anything, unfortunately im crippled for life with extreme limited mobility with only prospects of another life changing leg operation and future operations on the horizon at the age of 32 since i was 26. only use the car for hospital appointments as i only have use of my ankle movement for the throttle and brake - having my leg dead from the knee down and bolted together unabl to extend the leg without using my hands - which is a shame as its a 90s 6 speed push botton start 5 cylinder turbo and rusting away.

hey dude, hope all is well, this vid is great, that maxpeedingrods t04e i got will be getting fitted later this month, hoping they are not as bad as people make out, and im running 10w60 mannol ester fully synthetic so hoping itll make the turbo last even longer. my current t28 is leaking water from the core and oil also, but im bypassing that as this new turbo is oil cooled only. on my car the coolant drain from the turbo goes straight into the bottom of my radiator so its easy to just connect the feed and the drain with an alloy pipe.

Did y'all actually measure bearing clearances or did you just keep switching bearings until the crank would spin 🤔🤷🏼‍♂️

Those rings are called hog rings you can get a special tool to fit new ones if that helps anyone I'm currently repairing mine if you know where I can find the same material to repair the standard hole area it would be appreciated.

One video that helped me out in the last couple of days was Reupholstering the CRX seats, as I bought 2 passenger CRX seats (lucky to find the seats where I live) and a bad drivers one and transferred the cushion and fabric over, now got a mint drivers seat and passenger seat! Always change the water pump, tensioner, and front main seal. Crank position sensor should be changed while you are there. It's a bitch, you don't want to do it over correctly the second or third time.
