Info on this subject matter isn't easy to find, so thanks a million for sharing! You're lucky, though - yours came in, mine was ankylosed and did not. After surgery and six months of the chain & elastics, I had to have additional surgery and extraction. The initial surgery that attempted to mobilize my ankylosed tooth also resulted in complications with bone/gum loss (despite having a good oral surgeon), necessitating the extraction surgery that included a bone graft. I was toothless for more than a year and had to have an implant - not cheap! Having this done while you are young is a big success factor, too.

i have to get one to but it’s my bottom canine and no one has that type and i’m scared to get it but the good thing is their putting me to sleep

It's been 4 months... I constantly am laying on my back with the phone in my mouth trying to see what's going on up there! Lol I finally see a white tooth and bracket emerging. It was the best feeling ever. I'm 30, I'm over it and just want my canine in place and braces off already so I can return to my regularly scheduled life! Lol

I have an impacted canine and they’ve been using springs to try and push the surrounding teeth apart to make room for it but it won’t come down and I’m probably gonna have to have the surgery for it😩 all I want is my tooth

Hey at least you don’t have an impacted front lateral or buck tooth like me. I have jade braces on for 5 years and trust me 2 year is nothing. However in the long run it is totally going to be worth it-and btw I’m getting a frenectomy as well so u have it easy well anyway good luck 👍
