Просмотров 15 тыс.7 лет назад
Platoon 3053, Lima Company, MCRD Parris Island SDI SSgt Miller DI Sgt Oliveira DI Sgt Manzke DI Sgt Deo
Where are their duty belts?
In the duty hut. Since it’s a practice speech.
My son was in charlie company and graduated from parris Island in December of 2013. He was honorably discharged in October of 2017 as a full corporal. They offered him an extra stripe to reenlist. He declined.
5 drill sgts for 1 platoon,yikes!!
TO THE USMC RECRUITS: GET YOUR AFFAIRS IN ORDER!!!
When did they stop wearing duty belts?
They didn’t. It’s a practice speech so no one is wearing a duty belt.
Just by looking at the backs of the heads of the recruits, I can tell most are thinking “Oh, man, what have I got myself into?” And a few are thinking “This so AWESOME!!” Respect & Semper Fi, gents.
i graduated from platoon 3053 lima co august 11th 2023 (two days ago). it’s super weird seeing a whole different group of drill instructors with my same platoon number and company
I was in plt 3053 in San Diego .
2001 SDI SSgt Bodette 2095. Always thought 3rd BN is very intense...
we had 2 DIs + SDI and I remember looking at platoons with 3 thinking"f that sucks, can't get away with nothing". SDI SSgt Bodette from history channel....
I remember having 3 DI'S in 1983 and in those days things were totally different. PLT 3051 I Company
SSgt Miller was our Drill Master in 2015. Badass to see he got back in the squad bay. I'd bet money that this plt won initial drill and final drill and probably everything else. This guy is a savage!
No duty belts???
Read description
Good times!!!
Did we not record your SDI speech?
As flawless as it gets!!! Ooh Rah!
Do they not wear duty belts anymore as DI's? Or am I missing something.
You’re missing something. Read the description.
fellow marines, i need your help locating my former d.i.'s and privates from my platoon # 2032/april 93' here/ golf company , i do not have f.b. , just email + y.t. channel here , thanks > tom !
After watching this, I feel like eating a whole box of crayons
I was 3253 at San Diego graduated August 13th 2021
Thank you Dustin for your service
I doubt the Senior DI Instructor ever had problem motivating recruits within half mile or so.Rahhh
It’s so weird seeing Lima’s barracks without the lockers
Is That You John Wayne? Is This Me?
Where are their duty belts??
If you read the title and description of the video, you’ll see it is a practice speech during pickup week, thus, no belts.
No more black belt?
If you read the title and description, you’ll see it is a practice speech, thus, no belts.
Very moving SSgt. Miller - well done!
A total of FIVE DI’s? Is that something new? When I was in (1979), we only had three!
No, it's not something new. It really just depends on the number of personnel in the company. Some cycles there were as many as five. Other cycles there were only three. This one started with five but ended with only three.
When i was in i was talking to this other recruit in a different platoon and he said his SDI forgot part of his speech and the other DI had to tell him 😂💀
SSGT. Olivera was probably the best senior drill instructor in the island when I was on the island.
SSgt Perrad became chief DI? Lol I feel bad for the whole series
I remember him as Sgt Miller, showed up half way through my cycle as a new DI, glad he moved up the ranks. Made life hell 😂
I'm a Marine and would never expect my partner to fold. It happened 16 years broken.
When I was in India company platoon 3096 back in 2011 the kill hat for my platoon name was Sgt Miller. I wonder is this the same guy or not? My heavy hat was sgt Prograis(i think thats how its spelled) and my SDI was SSgT Gentry.
No, it would’ve been another Miller. I was there from 2013-2016 and was only in Lima Company.
@@D-Mill6174 oh ok thanks
2002 my hard hat punched a recruit in the face ( much deserved ) and well not sure where I was going with this but love the intensity..
Look where RUclips took me once again. Brother, lots of people concerned with your lack of duty belt for your PRACTICE SPEECH! Haha. As always, f-ing stunning my man!
No duty belts? Is that not a thing anymore or was this some kind of exception
Nathan, it’s a practice speech like the title suggests.
5:02 this is where the fun begins
That guy on the left doesn’t look like he’s sitting up straight. And haha that dude on the right who raised his arm when they were saying the creed
I thought no one else noticed that
SSgt O was my senior in 2016 for Lima co 3086, very professional Marine. Just submitted my SDA volunteer package last week, if you see this do you have any advice on the school house or any thing you wish you knew before becoming a hat?
He doesn't have a youtube account but I let him know you commented. He said you can reach out to him at oliveira1818@aol.com and he can give you some advice.
Smart, you were in 3086? That’s awesome man. I was to. Don’t know if you remember me though.
3017. Sdl. Ssgt. pippin
Can’t wait to go through this in a few months
DI Sgt Manskie the second green belt was my Senior Drill Instructor right before this platoon
He may have been your SDI, but I can assure you it wasn't before this platoon. This platoon graduated July 8th, 2016.
Dustin M oh ok that make sense just thought it was after because of the date posted and he was an SStg when he was my SDI so that’s bad .. I was suppose to graduate July 16th 2017
He was a heavy in a different platoon and he was terrifying every time i saw him. Absolutely terrifying
@@joem3115 I can only imagine I had him as my SDI probably would’ve shit myself if he was my green belt he
Remember when you would stand in formation and just fantasize about food?
Happened all the time especially during training weeks 9 and 10
"Sit up straight and look at me" Those two guys slouching at the front not looking at him...
That's because the two guys in the front are also Drill Instructors. This is a practice speech as the title of the video says.
I didn't read the title lol. I was just clicking from one video to the next 😂😂😂
You must be very proud, Dustin.
Senior Drill Instructors like you are what make the military in our nation one that no one should ever mess with.
Ssgt Miller, you have my deepest respect. Even though I have no desire to be in the military, especially the Marines, I highly respect those serving our military to protect our beloved nation.
😭
I guess Robby doesn't like crayons!
@@bigdee8189 What's that supposed to mean?
Good oh Sgt deo man motivator
That man was my kill hat in his first cycle I believe.....
whatever happened to the p;hrase "never lies, cheats, or compromises!"? Is compromising now allowed in the newer softer marine corps?
Hey 😊 Brothers
